Stopped by after getting a rezzie at DCP and the store definitely lives up to its name of Copper & Oak themes. Tomo has curated a wide selection of spirits and was able to give my well drunken buddy and I something new to experience (Weller bourbons are pretty awesome!) as well as more trivia info about finding this bottle overseas.

Come for the vibe, good company, and excellent selection.

Weller special reserve Very smooth and highly recommend

      Date: Thursday, January 11th, 2024
      Time: around 6pm
      Party of: 3

*GREAT SCOTCH: Macallan Rare Cask 2022, Glengoyne 25 years, Benromach 21 years ($140)
*OLD BUT NEW: Sasanokawa Pure Malt, Fukano #2323, Tsunuki Peated ($62)
      *Ardbeg 13years "Anthology-the Harpy's tail-" Sauternes cask finish, 92proof ($42 for 2 oz)

After doing happy hour in the area, we saw Copper & Oak and decided to stop by. The boys in my party had been here before and loved it. Being a scotch / whisky lover, they said I would probably adore this place. We walked in and it was moderately busy. We easily grabbed 3 seats at the bar in the corner by the door.

I decided to be extra and get the great scotch tasting. I've never tried any of the liquor in that tasting, so I thought why not?! Yolo? I loved the presentation and the scotch offered. I always joke single and legal (single malt, 18+ years), and these fit the bill.

The alcohol displays here are almost library like which I loved. (I've always wanted a library like the one in Beauty and the Beast. If only I had unlimited funds. Lol!) The lighting is very warm, so it creates a cozy vibe. Great for sipping and having good convos with good company.

Would definitely recommend for any whiskey lover.

Classy tiny bar (it is VERY TINY, just fyi.. but worth it!). Perfect place for a date or a small group of friends. There is limited seating/standing room so it can be a bit tight on peak hours. They have a huge whiskey selection and Tomo, the spirit master, really knows everything whiskey. Great recommendations and phenomenal service!

Just a phenomenal small bar with some great selection. It's New York so going to be expensive but just solid tasting flights and the bartender is really friendly.

This place is great. Fantastic selection and great service. Amazing place to learn about liquors. They are very knowledgeable. I am Mexican and they know much more about Tequila and Mezcal than I do.

This was my third visit here over an extended period of years. Each visit was very consistent. Great vibe, great music, great service from the Spirit Master, Tomo! He is extremely knowledgeable, and will make great recommendations based on your palette's preferences.

It's a small and cozy spot on the Lower East Side, within walking distance to many other bars and restaurants in the area. I had a Japanese Whiskey Flight and I was very satisfied when my tasting was finished. It is definitely a unique experience. a great place to socialize with a friend or small group. I give Tomo, extra credit for remembering my name, as my last visit here was before the pandemic!!

The ambiance is fantastic! The bartender was really helpful in helping my friend and I decide between drinks and was very responsive especially with how busy it was. I will say there aren't a ton of seats so there may be a wait. However, totally worth it.

Tomo is the sweetest / coolest bartender (he works Thursday - Saturday as a heads up). I loved the atmosphere (perfect for date night although I'm sure it gets busy fast and there's not too much seating).

I ordered the New Born Japanese Whisky tasting flight ($36) and it was awesome. The third bottle is peated, so Tomo had some peat moss he showed us and explained how they smoke that to give that whiskey its flavor.

He also let us try some small sips of Yamazaki (aged 12 years) -- I had no idea how premium this whisky was! And he gave us so much detail about the history of our whisky and taught us a lot. I would totally recommend checking this place out!

Came here with some friends to sip and enjoy some whiskey. The bartender if you can call him that was amazing! He explained in such detail and quality each drink we were considering and gave great recommendations for spirits that were similar are on the same level. The gold ambience of the room was a nice touch
