Ajax in SF din't have my alternator, they recommended Cypress Auto.
Price was excellent. However, I haven't installed it yet. But I'm sure it'll work like expected, at about 80% off retail price knock on wood ;)))))Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - David F.Novato, CA2926Nov 21, 2023
Nick at Cypress Auto Salvage was very helpful in dealing with my daughter's very distressed car. He walked me through the car's issues and arrived at a reasonable salvage price.

Had a great experience here! I live in Southern California and was going to be in the bay area so my sister sent me with a core, that apparently was 9 months old. Most places wouldn't honor this. They were cool about it considering I drove an hour to get there and the reason it hadn't been returned before was because we live 7 hours away! Very cool staff cool shop cool fish thanks for the help gentlemen.

I needed a new trunk lid for my car and found via a third party that Cypress had one that would fit. It looked fine when I picked it up but when I got home and tried to install it I discovered it was slightly bent, enough that it would not close.
I brought it back and explained the situation and was immediately refunded, the guy at the desk was even apologetic for the place having sold me a defective part. Very admirable integrity.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dru M.Danville, CA03Nov 14, 2023
called up Rock&Roll auto in Pleasanton looking for an electric steering rack for 2012 ford focus, RR didn't have, but they pointed me to Cypress. Cypress had one, gave me a quote(great price compared to ebay and no shipping cost) over the phone, had it ready the next day. As far as their office, decor, attitude, exactly what I would have expected from an auto salvage place, cool old fish tank in the office to calm ur nerves after driving through the caldecott tunnel and dealing with traffic.

I found a part (trunk lid for a Corolla) via a third party website and picked it up from Cypress. I didn't realize until after I had picked it up that it was slightly bent, but thought the defect was just superficial.
When I tried to install it on my car I found it was too bent and would not fit or work out. It was the right model but it was too damaged.
I brought it back and they were very professional, looking for another replacement and being unable to find one gave me a full refund (normally there is a 30% return fee if nothing is wrong with a part) with no hassle.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nancy G.San Francisco, CA01Jul 21, 2023

Nicolas and his associates at Cypress Auto Salvage saved my rare (and expertly restored) 7th Generation Honda Civic Si from being taken to a junkyard here in Hawaii. A pillar channel drain became plugged which caused the upper metal dashboard panel to rust away - so completely rusted that the panel lip that supports the windshield deteriorated. I had the odds against me... not a single salvage yard on the island had my year Civic Si because my car is rare here on Oahu, and Honda Motor Company discontinued manufacture of the part a decade ago. But Cypress Auto Salvage saved my Civic Si due to having received another 7th Generation Civic Si that was being "parted-out", that had a rust-free upper metal dashboard panel; they cut the panel out, constructed a solid wooden crate for the heavy metal panel, and Cypress Auto Salvage even arranged for the shipping from the Port of Oakland to Honolulu - all at a reasonable cost. I had an auto metal fabricator prep and weld the dashboard panel here so; basically, my Honda Civic Si is even more fully restored than before. I agree with other customers = if Cypress Auto Salvage does not have your part, they have a nationwide network so they will find your used part in good condition! I would give them 7 stars if I could.

Mike was great! I had called and researched 5 other places to try to find a part for a Toyota Rav4 and he is a straight shooter, he found me 2 of the parts used and was able to find the better quality of the 2 and have it in for me within 3 days without my having to ask! I look forward to his help and services again. Thank you!
