5 star workmanship and service! I've been working with Dan and Tom for a while now. I hired them Feb 2021 to build a brand new pool in my backyard. This is my first pool ever so we didn't really know too much about certain things. Dan and Tom helped us work through all the details and were flexible with all our requests along the way. I have all state of the art equipment now with energy saving pumps. I was about to go with solar heating but Dan even recommend to use a Heat pump instead of going with solar heating as I already had electric solar. Saved me from drilling more holes in my roof! Dan also took care of all the city permitting process which other pool builders we interviewed with would not do, one less headache for me! We set things up to be so easy to use we are so excited about the swimming pool!!! Thank you guys keep up the good work!!

We talked to other Pool builders before picking Dan. One builder wanted to demolish our entire backyard, including the custom wall we wanted to keep. Another builder told us they had never done a job this small and made us feel we weren't worth his business. Dan and his team listened to us, had good ideas, handled any issues that came up in a timely manner, and cost less than the other builders! My husband didn't think a pool would fit in our backyard but is happy he was proven wrong. My dream of having a pool has come true!

I had deck and bocce ball in my backyard when I bought this house in Campbell, my 9 years old daughter really wants to have a pool because we had one in our previous house. I reached out to Cypress Builders and ask them to build the swimming pool and rebuild the deck and bocce ball next to the pool. They did amazing job and my kids really like their work in my backyard. Professional, strongly recommend!

As of 8/13/2023:
Told Dan about my pool pump not working and he immediately sprung into action to fix my issue. I had called a licensed electrician days prior and advised me to change the circuit board and a new pump. For Dan however, he knew the problem right away and fixed it in less than 5 minutes. Thanks Dan! You're awesome and a lifesaver.

Dan is the best! We wanted a pool in the backyard, Dan made the design in one day at no cost! Then the process of getting the permit from the city was really smooth and fast. He helped us design the area around the pool nicely as well. He listened to our comments along the way. We wanted the hot tub ready just in time for the Christmas, he and his team worked through the rainy days and made it!

PART 1 of 2: Dan Ho, the owner of CYPRESS BUILDERS, an affiliate with AQUA UNIQUE POOLS, met with us and designed our backyard. We wanted an outdoor living area, an oasis to call our own. We discussed how we wanted "the works" to include landscaping, swimming pool, hot tub, wading area, covered patio with a ceiling fan, a fire pit and an outside kitchen complete with a counter bar area. At our first meeting, Dan created a video simulation to give us a visual and bring our wishes into reality. The process was a long one. We wanted the job done right, not rushing the work to be completed too fast at risk of losing quality.

We maintained open communication with Dan, who answered our questions and addressed our concerns. When we bring our issues up to him, he personally comes in to fix and and makes sure the job is done to our liking. So far, we are pleased.... We do appreciate Dan's attention to detail and making sure we are happy.

He is also going to work on our patio and outside kitchen, landscaping and outdoor lights. We will be updating this review with more pictures as soon as the job is completed. Review TO BE CONTINUED with PART 2 of 2 soon.

We got 3 quotes for our pool, Dan was the most expensive one but we ended up going with him because of the good reviews I read here on Yelp and the convenience that he was a one stop shop that included landscaping done too. I've heard horror stories from local neighbors who have used other pool builders and we didn't want to have any issues with it taking over months or a year to complete or bad quality work. The pool and backyard was a big investment for us. We wanted to make sure we wouldn't regret it and that it was done right the first time and with little to no issues as no one is perfect.

We got a salt water pool and spa, solar heat pump, waterfall ,a large area of concrete, artificial grass and many plants done with irrigation and drip system. Dan was nice to have his brother Kim install landscape lights for us as well. Kim installed all the pool equipment and electrical aspect of the pool. He was always so kind and a hard working guy. He always happily answered my husband's questions on how to use the equipment and app when he was here.

In the beginning things moved pretty quick. Each phase took about a day, if not few days. Dan coordinate everything to happen quickly. His team worked really fast which we were amazed by. Overall we are happy with the outcome. Started excavation in February and we were able to swim by June.

Not everything was perfect, but when I brought up the issues to Dan, he ended up fixing it and making me happy in the end. Still some minor things to fix such as a crack in the cement that occurred less than week after it was poured which we are still waiting on to be repaired. I understand concrete cracks over time but for the amount of money we paid, I expect it to not crack in less than a week. Dan also promised me a fence around the pool equipment as well. I will update this review again and with pics once everything is complete.

Dan is a one stop-shop for all things pool and backyard landscaping and hardscaping related including a showroom that has all the materials you can select from. I wanted a pool, spa, and waterfall feature along with stamped concrete, artificial grass, and concrete stepping stones, a putting green and an extension of that driveway in the front. All was done with attention to detail and per the required permits. Dan provided a computer simulation of what I envisioned and it was exactly what I wanted. The actual finished product was even better in person. Not only did everything fall together seamlessly, Dan checked that everything was done correctly and to my satisfaction. He also installed a ceiling fan in my covered patio area at no charge. Thank you Dan for making our backyard dreams come true. Our family truly appreciates it!

Dan did our pool back in 2020. Did an amazing job. Kids love the pool and enjoying it too much. I had issues today, i texted Dan and he came right away to help me get my system back online. If you need a pool. Dan is the Man.

I was looking for a one-stop-shop company to build not only a pool but to redo my entire backyard. I talked to a few contractors, but most focused on pool only.
Cypress Builders offers a full spectrum of backyard remodeling. , They proposed a few design ideas during our first appointment, and then later Dan has built a 3D design for us, and proposed a few great ideas to add a sundeck, stairs, and raised spa.

The project took a little longer, but the result is absolutely gorgeous and astonishing. Now my family has our own haven and oasis on our backyard.

Dan cares a lot about the final result and that customer is absolutely happy with the outcome. Dan's crew is a team of hard workers, and with every step, I could see that they care a lot about delivering perfect and outstanding results.
