      AMAZING MATCHA PARFAIT!

      Food
      What I ordered:

      Matcha parfait 10/10
It's like a surprise every bite! Loved the matcha ice cream a lot. It was delicious and great for the summer

      Red bean shiritama 6/10
The bread is crispy and delicious but the red bean is so dryyyy. I felt like I was eating sand because it also barely had flavor. I like the mochi concept but it was super plain mochi so feels like you're eating glue with sand lol! Otherwise the bread was the good part. The concept is there but maybe remake it where the red bean isn't dry? Like a paste but with something wet so it spreads like a Nutella?

      Organic O-matcha latte 3/10
I am a MATCHA lover, I mean I go Japan and EVERYWHERE if there's matcha. I did not like this one bit. Super bland and water down, I like my matcha strong with a fragrance. VERY overpriced for the quality so was disappointed.

      Interior/exterior
It's simple, love the color combinations and it has a lot of areas where u can take photos of your desserts and drinks. Desserts are cute, you can't resist to take photos of it!

      Customer service
Generic customer service, nothing unique or different. Simple greeting and not much of a smile

      Pricing
Overpriced drinks, felt like it was overpriced for the quality. The parfait is worth the dollar here

Overall: I'll just come here for the parfait but would I drive all the way to downtown to pay for parking to have desserts here. Probably not. Many matcha parfait spots!

The matcha parfait was delicious! But it was more icy than creamy. We got a mix of matcha and the seasonal flavor (Jasmine white peach). The matcha flavor wasn't that strong so we preferred the Jasmine white peach much more. The mochi balls were chewy except for the ones that got stuck on the bottom and were coated with ice by the end :(.

      Washroom:
This washroom was just clean but the toilet was duct taped on the top unfortunately :(

I finally got to visit this cute dessert shop for their amazing matcha parfaits and drinks!! I was so excited since I LOVE matcha and soft serve.

The store is minimally decorated but has a clean and modern aesthetic. It is on the smaller side with about maybe seating for around 10-15 people. We were greeted with friendly smiles from the staff and tried to look at all the yummy options on the TV screen menus but it kept changing. The staff quickly gestured to their menu on the counter and we were able to pick out what we wanted.

We ordered the Matcha Shiratama parfait ($8.95) to share and it was sooo good. The soft serve was light, smooth, and has a nice concentrated matcha taste without being too sweet. The little mochis and red beans on the side were the perfect addition also!

10/10 and I will definitely return!!

Ehhhh I felt like everything was really gimmicky..

The price of drinks here is pretty high considering the quality you're getting. I do like the concept of organic o milk but matcha itself wasn't really strong. The hojicha was a little underwhelming also. Maybe getting soft serve is the way to go here

If you're looking for high-quality matcha, Daigyo is the place to go! My friends and I ordered the Kinako Matcha Latte and a regular Matcha Latte. Both were so good (just look at how vibrant the matcha is), but I was excited about the kinako flavoring since you don't see that as often at matcha places. The staff were friendly and polite, and the place is small but relaxed with some seating. They also had loads of other matcha-flavored treats like soft serve!

Daigyo is a great place for dessert and matcha lovers alike. Their main focus is on matcha drinks and parfaits, but they also have Japanese pressed sandos and other teas.

I stopped by with a small group after eating dim sum in the morning. It was during the summer, so they had a couple seasonal specials including the jasmine white peach desserts. We ordered a couple different items and loved them all.

      Drinks/Desserts:
      - White Peach Jasmine Parfait - Really refreshing dessert mixing the floral jasmine flavors and sweet white peach. It came with shiratama (mochi balls) and red bean. Sometimes matcha can be overpowering in large quantities, so it was nice to mix it up with this dessert.
      - Kinako Matcha Latte - The kinako powder was a nice addition to the matcha latte and it gave it a deeper flavor.
      - Matcha Float - Matcha soft serve in a matcha latte for diehard matcha lovers. Pretty intensely matcha and not for the faint of heart!

The store was small but cute and had a couple tables to sit at. They also have a bathroom in the back, but we had to ask for the key. The staff was really nice and they all seemed like they were Japanese.

Definitely would come back again on a future trip to Vancouver! I like it better than the usual Matcha Cafe Maiko shop we have back in the states.

I stopped by for a quick dessert and was welcomed by two very nice workers. It looked like they were in the middle of a conversation but they put it on pause as soon as I walked through the doors.

The shop was empty, and i hadn't scanned the menu before entering, so I was staring at the menu from afar, when the cashier encouraged me to come closer as they also had a menu by the register.

I was feeling a bit indecisive since everything looked so good but I ended up choosing the Shiratama parfait which the worker explained to me contained rice cake balls and red bean filling.

It didn't take them very long to get my order but they apologized for the short wait (which imo was totally unnecessary but very kind)

The matcha soft serve was not as sweet as I thought it'd be, but this worked well with the sweet red bean filling. The rice cake balls seemed to be topped and filled with kinako and while I normally love rice cake, I thought they were kind of tough to chew

If I were to come again, I'd probably opt for a cup or cone of swirl soft serve instead of a parfait.

The shop is kind of small, so while there is some eating, if your group is larger than 2-4 people, you may have trouble finding enough seats to accommodate your party

Daigyo is a Japanese chain from Shizuoka, Japan. Shizuoka is one of the Japanese cities known for harvesting tea.

The interior is contemporary and well lit. The seating area isn't big but I see a lot of patrons getting to-go.

      We got:
      1) hojicha smoothie with matcha soft serve - it doesn't have the smoothie texture as it's more of a slushie. I personally prefer even richer tea taste but it was quite good and my husband really enjoyed it. It was a good combination too as you get to enjoy both kinds of tea.

      2) hot hojicha latte - again, i preferred it to be a little stronger in tea flavor but the drink definitely warmed me up on a cold rainy day.

If you haven't tried hojicha before, I'd highly recommend it as you don't get too many other places that serve hojicha.

Came here after getting ramen from across the street. We got the oolong tea and matcha swirl parfait. The mochi balls were hard in the middle and the soft serve was very watery/icy in texture. It wasn't as smooth and creamy as I would have liked. The soft serve had decent flavor.
