Gave us a great deal after a short discussion on requirements. The gate was constructed and installed lightning fast. Outstanding customer service, quick turnaround and a phenomenal product. The work is average but the customer service terrible. Don Felipe the owner is almost upset with every single observation of how I need the work done. His bad attitude is scary . I need it to call my brother because he starting to get rude with me. I couldn't stop the work because I already give the down payment otherwise I'll cancel. He throw his gloves at the floor when I try to tell him that I wasn't happy with the position of the cover. It was too low and too big ...I want it a little smaller but he got upset...My mother 78 years old could not reach the door handle comfortably. If you don't want to have a hard time dealing with a grouchy person don't take this services.

Really impressed with the entire process of working with Felipe and his team. It's rare to find a contractor that is responsive, reliable, AND cost effective. Daly City iron is all 3!

From the beginning of getting a quote, Daly City iron responded to my inquiries quickly. Their office ALWAYS picks up the phone or replies back to my email within the same day. Installation was even earlier than they projected. Felipe physically came out to my location 4 times BEFORE the install to measure and ensure the design fit our door frame. The care and detail-orientation here is amazing. He had great insights and selections when it came to the design and installation.

Due to a couple small miscommunications, we had to change the paint color and remove a safety feature and the team made both changes WITHIN A DAY. Just absolutely incredible experience. The quote I received was also way more in line with what we were hoping to pay vs some other vendors.

Felipe Ponce and his team (including his grandson, Alfredo) did amazing work. Mr. Ponce provided estimates for two gate designs that I was pondering on time as promised. Once a design was selected, the gate went into production. He installed the gate frame within the door frame as I preferred. He also accommodated a peephole on my front door and a place for a keypad to replace the deadbolt in the future. Although he estimated it would take 5-6 weeks, work was completed in only 2 weeks before closing shop for Christmas! This is a local and family-run business with great pride in their work and providing friendly customer service.

Daly City Iron Works is fantastic!! I worked with them for a custom iron gate for a side entrance. I was able to get an appointment to view the space and get an estimate very quickly! They even called me when they had a cancellation for an earlier day in case I wanted that. They showed up on time, we're super quick and I received an estimate shortly after the visit. They were able to create the specific design I wanted and had it done super fast!! Through the entire process they were communicative, professional and just great! The gate looks awesome, was installed perfectly and is incredibly well made and sturdy! If I need any more iron work I will go right to them! Highly recommend!!

Contacted this establishment to put up a side gate by garage. You can never be too safe these days. They were very responsive and worked with my given time frames. It was a little bit on the pricey side but it seems like everything in San Francisco is expensive these days. I'm happy with their workmanship and would recommend to anyone in need of a security gate.

They told me since you have left us a bad review on Yelp, we do not want to work with you, it was an honest review. Another sign their customer service is horrible!!!

Instead of apologizing for not replying in time and sending the photos they promised me, they went another extra mile to prove customer service does not mean anything to them!

If you need metal fabrication, Felipe is who you want to by your side.  I've been on the fence about getting my 50+ year old iron gate replaced with something a little more modern, stylish and most importantly, SECURE! I did my research and received a few bids and finally decided to go with Felipe at Daly City Iron Works not only based on price but professionalism.

Felipe took his time to listen and gave his suggestions in terms of convenience and safety, which were my priorities. I gave him a description of how I wanted the gate and he delivered! I needed a Nest x Yale lock installed which had specific requirements. Wanting to making no mistakes, he asked for the exact specifications of the lock and even took it with him to make sure it'll work without issues.

Despite of the Covid19 pandemic, Felipe and his crew still managed to stay in constant communication and stuck with the original installation date. I was a bit nit-picky on how I wanted things and how the wires ran (doorbell camera, Nest x Yale lock, and passage lever door handle), but and Felipe exceeded my expectations every step of the way.

Minor scuffs occurred during install but it was expected and which Felipe took care of. He made sure that there were absolutely no issues before he left. Even if there were, I'm sure Felipe will be at my doorstep in a heartbeat to resolve it.

Like most, I'm sure it may take a bit to take the plunge to get a new gate but Felipe makes the whole process a breeze!

They did a nice job, matched my sketch pretty well. Door works well. Paint can be a bit better if they used a powder coat system but the spray paint they use is acceptable.

Excellent work and quality. They really take pride in their work and are reasonably priced. They installed a front gate for my parents home in SF and am very pleased with the results. Bianca communication via email is thoroughly done with scheduling the project and they came to measure everything prior to installing. They answer their phone too which is always helpful. They even moved our wireless doorbell to the gate which is very important. Thank you.
