Danny Can The HandyMan

This is a difficult review to write because we really wanted to give Danny a great rating for remodeling our rental unit. But the fact is he walked off the job before it was done, and this was after he blew up at us about a flooring question we had. Not only was this disappointing, but very unprofessional. This put us in a very tight spot to find people to complete the job before our tenants moved in 2 days later.

The work was okay up until the very end when you need a seasoned professional to complete the job (install baseboard trim, caulk bathroom sinks, install lighting fixtures, see the attached photos for reference). It seemed to us that Danny took on a lot more than he was prepared for and when we were in the home stretch, he just quit.

Danny might be a good handyman for small, short-term household fixes. But if you're looking to do anything larger than that, you'll want to find a true professional who stands by their work and is committed to the very end of the project.

Danny installed these super heavy wooden shelves for us and they look amazing. He was so quick and easy to work with! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have something done right!

I found Danny on Craigslist a cpl years ago and he's been our goto handy man / fix anything. My wife and I personally use him at our home for little projects around the house and I use him for larger jobs at my restaurant and he's been able to handle any type of job big or small with professionalism and skill.

I would recommend anyone to reach out to Danny for any assistance. A nice, friendly guy that delivers on what he says.

There were several projects around the house that needed to be taken care of, but we did not have time to get ahold of a mechanic for some electrical work or a carpenter for some wood. It was very convenient to have everything done around the house!

Our garage door switch within the house was broken and he was able to easily rewire everything to make within a few minutes.

Then we had a job for in the backyard where our patio shade was dilapidated and molded after being exposed to rain/sun damage for the past 25+ years. We did not plan on fixing it that same day, but since it was such an eye soar and the garage door fix was so fast we were intrigued. Danny said he could get it done within a couple hours after getting the proper material and for not much more -- we thought MIGHT AS WELL!

Like he said Danny said he got out patio shade fixed within a couple hours. He sanded down the frame to level it out, went to the hardware store, got everything cut within our backyard, & cleaned up everything within a couple hours.

Overall, Danny was very efficient, reasonable in price, and fast. We were very happy with his work and we'll definitely hire him again for more work around our old house.

Danny is an very talented and able professional. Danny rescued me from a nightmare situation. Before hiring him I had a terrible contractor situation that required me firing the previous contractor. Danny came in and helped finish the job as well as fixed multiple issues the previous contractor had caused/miss planned. He was able to do high quality work while coming up with inventive solutions to problems. Danny is a great guy and a skilled contractor. Do yourself a favor and hire Danny for the full job. I certainly wish I had him working for me from the start!

He was VERY rude when I called. Berating me the second I spoke with him. Very unprofessional

The last person I hired quit halfway through a job and other companies would not take on a half finished job. I called Danny and not only did he accept the job but he also saved me money by not overcharging on the materials like the other guy did. Thanks again Danny, if I see you out it's capicola and Italian sodas on me!

Never finished the work he started, and no response when calling. Also odd behavior.. never again

Fast response and reasonable prices. Danny's work came out great! I definitely couldn't get my furniture and cabinets put together with out him.

2nd update!
Danny helped us with some larger construction. He was super accommodating to us and a pleasure to work with. I'll definitely be looking forward to working with him again.

We had a great experience with Danny. He did a fantastic job skim coating, painting and tiling our kitchen. Danny has shown to have great attention to detail and did a fantastic job. Every day he was right on time. His estimations for the amount of work required were good and he had the right tools and experience. We were very happy with the price for the amount of work done. He is a very nice guy and showed a lot of consideration for us and our neighbours. For the skim coating he brought in another experienced contractor who was extremely professional and very friendly.
We highly recommend Danny!
