This is a super convenient shopping center with ample free parking and lots of useful shops. It's one of the secret perks of living in this neighborhood.

I use the following stores on a regular basis: safeway, US post office, dry cleaning, walgreens, and bank of america (full bank and drive-through atm). Super useful.

Behind the shopping area is a real playground. Two large areas for different ages of kids.

There's also a grassy baseball field where people also play catch with their dogs. And behind the grassy field, there's an entrance to Glen Park Canyon. You can walk along the canyonside and bottom and there are even rock climbers practicing on the enormous boulders.

The review says there is bike parking but itThe review says there is bike parking but that is an exaggeration, there are bike rack on side walks far away from the main business of shopping center and therefore no security such as that provided for autos. Without security for the bikes, you take a big risk parking your bike there while you shop. A shame too, an otherwise great shopping center.

The closest shopping center to my home. I have being going there over 30years. Don't leave any thing on your car seat of value. I never experienced a car break in but it happens from time to time.

You know I like the Diamond Heights shopping mall because it has safeway Walgreens the post office. coffee place Starbucks inside Safeway the managers are really nice they go out of their way to help you, when you have issues the only thing I don't like is when things on sale. and its on your jus for you doesn't wk you always gotta go to customer service because it does not work at the cash register sometimes. and then they can't give me the refund otherwise I love safeway..

The shopping center is surronded by the projects across the street and a couple blocks away. Be careful of everything one does especially after 5pm when the kids decided they are bored and nothing else to do than cause trouble for others.

Had to call the police once a bunch of kids tossing their unwanted food at an elderly person.

This shopping center is located on the West Side of San Francisco.

The stores include a large Safeway,
a dry cleaner, coffee shops, a USPS site
      a Great Vet etc

Very convenient, with several services in one location. I can grocery shop, do banking, drugstore and post office runs. Sometimes quite busy, but the big parking lot accommodates a lot of customers.

Even after living in SF my whole life, I only recently discovered the Diamond Heights Shopping Center. It's in a rather secluded, tree-lined hilly road of San Francisco. It's primarily a residential area, so this strip mall is the only shopping nearby.

There's a Safeway, a Japanese/Ramen joint (Choice Yankiku), a drive-through Bank of America ATM, and a Chinese restaurant, among others. Not much, but I suppose it's better than having to drive into the Miraloma or Castro areas to shop.

Great local outdoor shopping center with a surprising variety of shops in a very small space. I know a lot of people who drive some pretty long distances to do shop here and the big reason is.... PARKING! Anytime you don't have to pay for for a place with ample parking and decent shops in San Francisco consider it a win.

      The stores...
-Safeway - You know what you are gonna get. Good size store, not the best prices around
      -Walgreens - See above
-Chinese Restaurant - I can't remember the name but it is an improvement over Yet Wah...which was ok. I pick up dim sum to go when I'm up here and am always happy. Price is a notch or two higher than I'm used to but still worth it
-Creighton's - solid coffee shop. Not remarkable but a solid cup-o-joe
-Choice Yakinku - Japanese Fusion-y. Ok for a lunch spot. Not amazing but solid
-Great Clips - Horrible! Got my hair cut here once and they butchered it.
-Veterinary Hospital - Has changed owners since I had my dog. Not sure about them
-Post Office - Not bad, shorter lines than just about every other Post Office I've been to.
-Bank of America - they have a drive through which is awesome. The bank is in the back and is never really that busy

There are probably a shop or two more that I can't recall off the top of my head but you get the idea.

To be fair, this isn't so much a review of the shopping center as it is a review of what happens if you walk behind the shopping center:

YOU GET AN AMAZING VIEW OVERLOOKING GLEN CANYON PARK!

I don't know why I'm telling you this, because while I'm sure you're great, you are not worthy of this beautiful canyonscape.
