Had been wanting to check this spot out! Quick and easy to go dim sum.

I ordered the spare ribs, shrimp rice roll, shrimp siu mai, crispy bbq baked bun & egg custard pineapple bun. I really enjoyed everything! It all came out to about $20

The shrimp rice roll and siu mai were big & filling! Nice big pieces of shrimp. The spare ribs had lots of flavor. The baked buns had to be my favorite! Both had a nice crispy outside and the fillings are reallly good as well. I've never had a pineapple bun with actual pineapple chunks inside!

I should've asked for utensils and soy sauce/chili oil if they had any. Will definitely come back! :)

One of the friendlier dim sum take out places in Sacramento. The service staff walked around the counter with a tablet to take my order. I don't feel like I have to yell for my order. Easy to order as sometimes I struggle with naming all the items I want to order as I can just point at the display glass.

It's one of the better dim sum takeout places in Sacramento. The reason is that it isn't greasy or too salty. I don't like to use soy sauce or hot oil to eat dim sum if the food is decent. I didn't need to mask the flavors or felt bloated after I finished eating.

Price point is very cheap for the location as the building is a bit more modern compared to other dim sum takeout places. However, the carb to meat ratio in the pork buns is a bit lacking. Way too much breading. It might be better if they made smaller buns with same amount of meat, as I had to toss around half the bun away.

There is might be too much baking soda in the Har Gao, as I know it's plump and juicy. However, there is a distinct taste of baking soda which dampers the flavor profile off the shrimp.

Overall, it's probably going to be one of my new regular takeout places despite some of my critiques. It's difficult to find dim sum that isn't too greasy or salty.

Great place for dim sum items! I really appreciate the Hong Kong style dim sum offerings! Good service from friendly employees! Small facility. Good for take-out. There a few tables for eating in. Food is delicious! Prices are good!

I was in the area so decided to stop by to get some goodies. They are in the same plaza as Bel-Air. Lots of parking spots. The place is clean and well lit.

They offer many different items. Steamed, baked, fried. Pretty much something for everyone. When eating dim sum, definitely have to get variety of items!

Some of their items are comparable to the ones from ABC Bakery like shu mai, har gow, bbq pork buns, etc. They do offer some items that ABC doesn't such as the pineapple bun with bbq pork filling or pineapple bun with actual pineapple inside! One of their items that stood out was their Fried Dough Sticks. Freshly fried to order.

Service was quick. Staffs were nice and patient. There are tables and chairs available for guests but not sure if there is a charge for dining in. I'm glad there are more dim sum places around Sacramento area. Just need more closer to my side of town :).

This dim sum restaurant/bakery is a little different from its competitor. Why is that? It's bc we arrived early afternoon & they didn't run out of their shrimp dumplings (haigow)! In fact while we were ordering the line behind us grew bigger & bigger! Our service was on point as my wife rattled off her dim sum list from her mind. We ordered a dozen hai gow, several shrimp suimai (usually these are pork), chiu chow dumplings which abnormally had peanuts but wasn't bad at all, 1 steamed chasu bow, several baked pork bows & a couple Portuguese egg tarts. All were authentic, tasty & delicious!!! Even my wife wished she had ordered more!

Thanks to my fishing buddy who truly introduced us to this place last year & my wife thought for sure it was another dim sum place yet she knew they were closed that Monday so she took a double take at the bag & realized it came from Dim Dim Food. She instantly yelped it online. LOL For us this was a new dim sum place in the Sacramento Pocket/Rush River area. It's not far from Elk Grove. It was actually Ginza back in the day. We love that it's convenient as they have table and chairs unlike most Chinese bakeries are only order to go with no seating whatsoever! They were even opened on Thanksgiving day last year mind you as friends of ours had even visited this small business on that particular day!

They do take credit cards which was a convenient plus as most Chinese businesses usually take cash only. They are closed on Tuesdays so just remember that when you get a craving for a chasu bow! Thank goodness for plentiful free parking too! This business really hit a home run for us bc those steamed chasu bows & chiu chow (pork filled) dumplings reminded my wife of growing up at home when her Mom used to prepare these dim sum goodies from scratch. Yasss!!! Those amazing childhood memories were extra special to her! We will absolutely return back here for sure! You can seriously count on that. Hmmm...I think I'm having a craving for a chasu bow!

I know I'm late in trying this dim sum take out spot in Pocket. I had errands to run in the area, and it was my opportunity to finally try it.

Even with 3-4 people in front of me. The line moved quickly. I have a weak spot for dim sum and wanted to try everything. I held back and only ordered what I wanted to try first. I saw a handful of tables to dine in, but I think most people order to go.

Vegetable Meat Bun - The bun is fluffy and has a good texture. I would like more meat, but I understand they're trying to make it affordable. 3 for $5.10 or $1.80 each. 4/5

Har Gow (Shrimp Dumplings) - Juicy filling and good portion. The outer skin is a bit too thick. 4/5

Egg Tarts - Now, that's the right way to make the crusts. The egg custard is a little too sweet for me, but it's still very good. 5/5

Char Siu (bbq portk) rice roll - I think I had high expectations for this because it looks really good. The rice roll was just done wrong, and the char siu had little to no flavor. 2/5.

Overall, it was a good place to pick up dim sum without a long wait. I would come back to try the baked buns and other dim sum items. AND definitely come back for the egg tarts.

I waa working a long term job and wanted to stop here for lunch before I left the area.

      3 Har Gow $4.10
      3 Siu Mai $4.10
      3 Veggie Meat Buns $5.10
Rice noodle roll with spareribs $4.95

All items were large and packed with meat. Wirh inflation murdering everyone in 2023, this place is very good and reasonable. My fav dim sum spot now. This neighborhood strip mall is lucky to have this true banger!

Would definitely recommend this spot. Loved in Elk Grove for almost 2 years and this hidden gem has been hiding so close all this time. Located in the pocket, this to go dim sum spot is serving up delicious and large pieces of dim sum, stuff with shrimp and the goods.

A lot better than some of the sit down spots I've been to around town. Definitely a crowd stay forms it gets later in the morning. Service was great as she helped each group out calmly despite the line.

Only thing I'd recommend to the store if to somehow serve the rice roll with shrimp warm/hot, it was cold as it was pre packaged.

All shrimp items were stuffed and would definitely recommend. Their pineapple bun is the FIRST I've had that actually has pineapples in it, delicious and would highly recommend trying. It's a bit pricey for items here but better quality and value compared to the restaurants in the area. There's seating here too if you'd like to eat your food here.
