Dog House

After just under a two straight years living in my apartment, my bestie and I decided a few days ago to finally go out to a bar and have some drinks and socialize!

A former favorite of ours is the Dog House, so we returned and had such a great time!

The customers are super friendly, half drunk, and seem to really enjoy the drinks, the food, and the music.

You can order food right at the bar, it is prepared at the restaurant next door (a popular fish and chips joint with great fare) where it is then cooked up and served piping hot right in front of you... And it is always extremely tasty!

Prices are very consistent with other great dive bars in the area.

This place goes through changes. At least the bartenders are still good. The problem now lies with supplies. Is it too much to ask for a bag of nuts with a beer? The fish and chips place is open next store- but not on weekends when there would be a pile of folks ordering food. Plus- they advertised bar b Que for Niners games. Well that lasted about a month. That would require Larry to get his butt off the bar stool and actually order some food. One time I asked on the day of the Niners game- " are you guys doing a bar b Que?" The response was Larry forgot to take the meat out of the freezer. I can tell you this there are 5 times as many people

We were in town for a conference and looked up local dive bars. It was perfect for us...good people...not pretentious and good prices on drinks of course. The best part was our bartender, Austin. Always a good time to sit in a dive bar and have an intellectual conversation while drinking. If you don't like dive bars...find a fancy place. If you want a community atmosphere with good conversation and good drinks, this is your place.

Eh. It's a classic dive - mediocre selection of beers, fine mixed drinks, I wouldn't go for wine or cocktails. Staff was friendly but this spot doesn't really have much to write home about.

My husband and I traveling through through the bay area had the great luck finding this fabulous bar. Our bartender not only made a fantastic Manhattan but was a great host. I wish I got his name. We so enjoyed our conversation about cooking a great steak. It was so refreshing to be around real people in such a fake world. Thank you to our wonderful bartender. I hope you get your Bronco fixed!

Decent little dive on the El Camino. Working class, middle aged, biker clientele. Four big TVs. Free popcorn. Dart board. Video golf.

Great food. Best burgers I've had in while and the sasauges were also very tasty. Large selection of beers. Cool atmosphere! I dont normally dine in the same place twice in a week but this place was so good I had to have it again. :)

Great place to hang out , great people, and great staff. They always are giving great service and care about their customers.

Reasonably priced drinks. Overall, it's an acceptable dive bar close to home, usually with a mellow mature crowd except for the occasional blabbering drunk. Bartenders: Austin is good company. Deborah is a little morose. Nicole runs hot to cold. Darcy is nice. The music machine costs a ridiculous $1 per song, and frequently cigarette smoke rolls in from outdoors.

Still the best dive bar on the planet. Well the Sly Mongoose in Lahaina takes the cake but on the mainland this place is the bomb. Larry Ritchey Nicole Deb Austin the best. Just make sure a grumpy old lawyer is not there. Love this place!!!
