I have family in SF, and we've been to quite a few of the hotels in south sf by the airport. My family always stayed at the best western when I was a kid, and now I've been trying some other options in the area with my wife & kid.
This is by far the best hotel that we've stayed at in the area. Conveniently close to the airport. Right off the freeway. Quite a few options for food of all varieties close to the hotel. There's plenty of free parking, and the hotel lobby and staff are very nice.
My wife is very particular about the mattress whenever we stay anywhere, and this is one of her favorites of any hotel we've ever stayed at. Clean, spacious rooms, and we didn't even add any upgrades to our room. There's a big desk, drawers, and a large armoire.
Bathroom was nice and spacious, but not much counter space for our toiletries.
Lobby had a small shop with essentials, sweets, snacks, limited alcoholic beverages, and even sandwiches.
But most of all, we love the warm cookies when we check in :) We'll be back soon!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 29, 2024
I am here for my second time. Love the hotel but am pretty annoyed at this very moment. I was told by the front desk that room service only happens if you request it. Great.
I did NOT request room service. I come back to my room and housekeeping has come into my room and touched all my stuff and rearranged it. I am actually pissed about this.
I bring my own bedding and pillow and they touched everything including my pajamas folding them. I'm a grown ass adult I don't need you folding my shit. Who knows if there hands were clean. Likely not.
I'm giving this hotel a 3 because I love the gym and the shower is gorgeous. But not I am UNSATISFIED that they came into my room. It's a true invasion of my privacy. Good thing I put my valuables away.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 8, 2024
Recently had to make a two night stay for work and decided to stay at this Double Tree Location based on its proximity off the 101 and how close it is to the city. Overall very pleased with my stay considering the cost.
Booked a one bedroom suite and that room was HUGE. Was not expecting to have all that space when I got the room lol. But hey no complaints here. My room was on the 7th floor and had a nice little view of the bay which was also unexpected.
Hotel had an indoor gym and pool and spa. The hotel also had a resteraunt with a full bar so they are fully equipped for whatever it is you are looking for.
Room service is also available at this location.
Parking is $35 a night and you need to display your parking pass or you can get towed so I want to make sure to put that out here. Dont risk your car getting towed, not worth it.
Overall I would reccomend this location and I will defenitly be coming back when in the area. Thanks Hilton for another good stay.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2615111214Mar 6, 2024
If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city, but want to be near by--definitely recommend this place. One of the newer locations of Hilton, and not too far from the free way.
We recently stayed a night. Parking was super easy, and check in was really quick. Close to the airport, and do they provide shuttles. They do have a restaurant on site, on the pricier side but if you have credit--might as well use it.
The room was very comfortable and spacious. Bathroom was a little small, but modern and clean. We enjoyed our night there, and would definitely go back when we visit the city.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jul 16, 2024
Good stay for a few hours which is exactly what we did. Pros: Front Desk personnel, food at the landing was delicious. We got burger and tacos. Cons: shuttle runs once every hour and it's not 24 hours. Found this out while waiting for 30 minutes at the airport watching some hotel shuttles go by twice. We ended up using Uber to/from Airport. This place will not be my choice the next time I need to stay overnight in SFO.

After being in 3 different states/airports in my unsuccessful attempt just trying to get home after delayed and cancelled flights, getting a warm chocolate chip signature Double Tree cookie was just the comfort I needed to end a most unpleasant day.
My airline gave me a hotel voucher and I chose this hotel because it seemed safe for a woman traveling alone and was only 2 miles from the airport.
When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised that the rooms were recently renovated. The rooms were also very clean.
The hotel has 5 floors and I stayed on the top floor facing the main entrance. Room 523. I heard freeway noise all night so it was noisy but it was the white noise freeway noise - no sirens or anything which is good since I'm a very light sleeper. With some ear plugs (which I anyways sleep with anyway) I slept well. The bed was comfortable and like I mentioned before the room was clean and I felt safe which were priorities to me.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - 17121735Jul 6, 2023
I stayed here 3 nights. Loved their room, services, and a la carte breakfast in their dining room.
I took 2 stars away because I disagree with their management on this silly policy. If a customer needs his/her room to be cleaned, he/she must request by 12 noon.
While we see many hotels provide do not disturb sign for customers who do not want the rooms to be cleaned, it is almost considered cheating to save by making the customers to beg for services. I came diwn the first morning, making such request, then my room was clean. I did mention to the front desk clerk that I preferred that daily. But I didn't get my room serviced for the rest of my stay.
That meant no bed making, no coffee refill, no clean towels, ect. Upon check out, the clerk argued with me that they did put the signage in every room. Well, they must declare this policy when taking reservations so that the customets who need a daily cleaning service can stay where else. Same like no free breakfasr.
Somebody learned how to run a Hilton property as an Air BnB or apartments in the Chinese standards. As a former hotelier, I was not impressed.
Well, the cookies and the young lady who checked me in were good though.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Feb 14, 2023
Stayed here last week and first thing we noticed when entering the room was that it was hot! We checked the temperature and it was 84 degrees!!! I turned in the AC right away all the down to 62 degrees (lowest it would go) and my husband opened the window to let the hot air out! It was so hot we left the window open overnight. Our room never went below 68 degrees and it only went that low because we had our window open. I closed the window early morning to keep the cold air in and next thing I knew, the room started to get hot and temperature was slowly going up in the 70s so I immediately opened the window.
Another issue is the shower door. It does not close all the way and when you're in the shower, it stays open slightly even more. The shower is also narrow!!
The room itself was clean and location is awesome but hubby and I agreed we wouldn't stay at this doubletree ever again.Helpful 15Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Feb 25, 2024
Recently stopped by due to work in "the City." I enjoyed their comfy + clean room, free high speed Wifi, friendly customer service, and of course their world famous cookies. Unlike other DoubleTree, this location does not have breakfast buffet v. DoubleTree in North SFO. However, they do offer $18 per person per day if you are Hilton gold and up. I would also recommend their restaurant; everything was delicious and loved their prompt service. A+++

The food here on the restaurant was by far my favorite part! The restaurant was so cool featuring food from all parts of the world with the corresponding flag indicating the location.
For example I had a Mezze platter and the Greece flag signifies that. I also had a Burrata salad denoting Italy. The main course was a Moroccan Salmon dish.
I'm really glad I ordered the salmon dish: I was worried It was going to be too big but once the seal was broken I couldn't stop and I wasn't over overly full. The bar was hopping too every night of the week as I was there from the weekend well into the week. One bartender (smaller Asian guy) was super sweet!
The rooms here were decent. They kicked me out even tho I had no place to go however that was t there fault it was the company I was contracting with. When you walk by the front desk they don't always acknowledge you which is a bit unusual but big city, busy place so no worries.
I used they gun super early in the morning. I remember the front desk then at 6am were super kind. The gym was really nice with water and towels. Sanitation wipes are provided.
The ellipticals were the finest machines most hotels use however I can never get the internet to work on. I know to bring my iPad to tool around on the Hulu internet. The quotes on the walls and door of this gym is so inspiring!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
