I have used this automotive company for 12 months daily and today my car window was broken on the Douglas parking lot. Spoke with office manager and their msnager; sorry to say they WOULD NOT assist in any way.

These guys are hired to watch the Emeryville Public Markets parking usage and constantly harass the owners and their staff about parking and leave us warning and threats of being fined (which according to the Attorney General is illegal to do in CA.) for parking in the wrong places even though we have parking passes. What makes it's inconvenient for us is with all the construction going on. And most of the parking is closed off and break in occur when you park in the far parking lots and myself and another restaurant owner had our vehicles broken into already. Also restaurant owners need to run in and out during the day to pickup supplies the we run out and need for daily operation so we need to be able to park close by not in a lot near the train tracks. Even 7 on your side did a segment about it.

This review Is for this parking lot particularly. Went there to pick up a key fob that was left for me by the office and was greeted by no one. Then there were two guys that were obviously of another decent and very rude. I stood there for almost 8 minutes while they were talking amongst themselves and acting like I was not even there. Finally, a very nice Ethiopian man came out to help me. When I drove in a man came out and told me, "you cannot park here." I let them talk and I said nothing. Then I finally said I am here to pick up something if you must know. He was really rude. Then when the Ethiopian man came out, he was very very very nice and I told him what I wanted and he went behind the glass and gave me an envelope that was waiting for me. I thanked him and left. This is a company that we deal with on a monthly basis for parking. Thank God that I don't have to park in this garage, Because I'm sure that there would be issues every day. The two guys that stood there and spoke in front of me and acted like I was not there were of Indian descent and very rude. I hope that in the future I do not have to deal with these assholes.

$15. To park my car and have it broken into with approximately ten other cars. Really, it was a great deal for a smashed window.

Really sad as we got to the car immediately after midnight and the attendant was gone. Along with my window.

Granted, nothing was in the car, so nothing lost. Except my parking money, time and patience while I go get a new window. Thanks Douglas Parking!

$5 EVENT PARKING (OFF THE GRID)

Our small group carpooled out to Oakland to attend our first Off The Grid. GPS got us to the location without a problem and not seeing any street parking in the immediate area, we parked our Hybrid in the Douglas Parking Garage. It was a flat rate of $5 for the event.

The garage is very conveninet to the Oakland Museum of California and the area around the Museum where Off The Grid is held. It was a short walk to street level.

We found a spot almost immediately upon entering the garage. There were several reserved for low-emitting vehicles and we were in our hybrid. However, several more of these reserved spots had cars abusing the up-close spots and parking with their non-hybrids. If the garage is going to provide spots for the low-emitters, they should probably go ahead and ticket the people who violate these spots.

No tickets were visible on any of the offending cars.

      Glad we drove the hybrid

      13th and Madison Parking Lot
Unconscious and inconsiderate of the various income levels in the area, they raised monthly parking fees from $110 to $180 in three months for residents in the area.

As a monthly parking member, who pays a generous fee every month, I should have access to a parking spot every day/anytime, but NOPE. The parking lot is routinely full in the mornings and sometimes I can't even find a parking spot!

On top of that, the parking lot has huge pot wholes in the ground that have yet to be maintained, even though this has been brought to their attention.

All of these matters have been brought up with the company, several times, yet the problems still exist.

This is a crooked and worthless company that doesn't honor its contract to have a space available to people who pay the monthly parking fee.

This where my company parks the trucks we use, and also where I park my bike. It's all valet, baby for 13 dolla a day. Across the street the outdoor lot/garage is 10, so I use that one when I drive my to work. But I drive , like, a Toyota Matrix with a few dents (made by my HUSBAND -- thank you very much). If I drove a Porsche or a BMW, I would park it here safe from thieves and people with keys. As far as bike parking goes? Guarded, and can't beat free!

A very small parking lot located behind my work building. I never wanted to park there until one day I forgot my garage pass so I pulled in hoping I wouldn't run over any of the glass that they never clean up. They never sweep/clean the lot and I could have paid one more dollar to park in another lot that I know is much better & cleaner but they were full. A lot of riff-raff walks by all the time too and I don't have a lot of confidence that the lone attendant cares about the security of the cars.

      First to Review

As far as downtown Oakland parking goes, I'm satisfied. $13 for all day parking, $11 if you get in before 9am (usually the goal in downtown).

You just drive in and leave your keys in the car and they give you a ticket - then they take it up the elevators to the garage for you. It can be a bit slow getting your car at the end of the day.
