Dov Sewer and Drain

I cannot say enough about Dov's professionalism and plumbing expertise.
I think this says it all: As Dov was leaving, I said, "It's been a pleasure working with you" and I meant it!
My project was to change my shower knobs to handles in a pre-war (70-year-old) apartment building. I researched obsessively and contacted numerous plumbers for estimates and advice. To start- Dov's method of estimating impressed me. He asked for detailed photos and was able to give me an estimate from that- saving time for both him and me. He was clear and concise while discussing the job, putting me at ease. Dov's price was in the middle and I chose him without hesitation. The paperwork (estimate and billing) provided was detailed and complete, allowing the project to go smoothly. Communication was excellent, scheduling quick and easy.

Dov arrived on time and set up quickly. He worked methodically and thoughtfully, analyzing every step, a true perfectionist. He confirmed and reconfirmed that every part and every joint was perfectly integrated, even and level. The finished pipes, inside the wall, are truly a work of art. We tested and retested for leaks. Clean up was complete and impeccable. Dov took the time to explain everything he was doing. He was patient and thorough when answering all my questions.
The bonus was: As Dov was leaving, I asked him to look at my sluggish kitchen drain that was preventing my dishwasher to drain completely. Over the past 10 year, six plumbers have looked at it and were unable to come up with a remedy. Professional plumber- "Doctor" Dov removed a part of the sink drain. - like magic-PROBLEM SOLVED! I almost cried with joy.
I have rather high standards (worked in construction for 20+ years) and found that Dov exceeded my expectations in every respect. I gushed to all my friends about my positive plumbing experience, until they begged me to stop. Can't wait to have another project with Dov.

Dov and johan are persistent and don't give up when the issue is multi layered and complex. We had a problem with our shower pressure and they worked tirelessly through many calls with the manufacturer, helped get us the right parts, and came back to ensure everything was working and fixed. At the end, the valve needed clean outs , new cartridges and new stops, and they worked to get it back to like new. Thanks !! (They also replaced our boiler last year, ) all jobs well done.

Scheduling an appointment was easy, and Dov arrived on time and ready to work. He quickly diagnosed the issues with my sewage system and leaking issue and explained the steps he would take to fix it. Throughout the process, he was patient with my questions and kept me informed of his progress.

Dov's work was top-notch. He was meticulous in his repairs and made sure everything was working smoothly before he left. He even took the time to clean up after himself and offer some advice for maintaining my system in the future.

He gave me free advice on the phone for more than 15 minutes. I really appreciate him taking his time to do that for no cost.

Dov and his team are awesome. I called him at about 9pm because one of my pipes under the kitchen sink sprung a leak. Even though he couldn't come out at that time he walked me through how to shut the water off over the phone. The next day one of his team came over and quickly and CLEANLY fixed my pipe, wearing masks and even booties to cover their shoes. I was lucky to find him here and Yelp and will ABSOLUTELY be using him in the future. Fast. Efficient. And a fair price

Recently spoke with Dov regarding me not hearing back from him on a Friday. It was a misunderstanding as Friday is his day of religious observance and the business is closed. I will use him again in the future.

Johan was great. He was professional, conscientious, friendly, and did an excellent job. I would definitely trust him again with future plumbing issues.

Dov is expensive, though, but was upfront about it. The only real negative was the constant asking for a review.

There was an issue with my toilet--every time I would flush, the water would rise and then go down very slowly. I tried baking soda and vinegar, cleaner and boiling hot water, nothing would work. I also couldn't get a hold of the super. I decided to pull up my yelp app for nearby plumbers and came across Dov Sewer and Drain. I called them up and was able to speak to someone right away. I explained my situation and he asked what neighborhood I live in. I'm in Crown Heights which worked out because he was close to my location. He told me the price and that he would get there in 15 minutes. Sure enough, he was there when he said he would. Before he entered my apartment, he put on disposable booties, which I really appreciate. When he tried snaking the toilet the first time, he said something was hard and asked if anyone flushes wipes or paper towels (I have no idea what it could have been but I know I don't flush paper towels or wipes). He had to snake it two more times but then everything was good after that. I paid him via Venmo and he was on his way. If you have emergency plumbing issues, I recommend Dov Sewer and Drain.

Unfortunately I had a really bad bathtub clog where none of the usual home remedies worked. I used Draino, a cheap snake from Amazon, and the good old plunger.

Sadly after a 15 minute shower, I was ankle deep in water that would not drain. I found Dov on Yelp and they responded quickly even though it was 9pm on Thursday.

David was here by 10:35 the same night and saved the day. He even put on sanitary booties so that my floor would stay clean. That was a very much appreciated extra touch.

Within 15 minutes, he had slayed the hair monster in my drain and my crisis was adverted. Definitely recommend these guys. They do the job and with great care.

Dov did a great job replacing our toilet. I would absolutely call them again for any of my plumbing needs.

With very little notice, Dov quickly came to our apartment and fixed our basement pipes after a large sewage backup. He also recognized another issue and suggested a solution to help prevent future clogs. His rates are reasonable and he is very knowledgeable, thoroughly explaining what needs to be done and why and what we may want to consider in the future. Very highly recommend working with Dov and his company for any plumbing needs.
