Fantastic apartment building! The staff - Tyler, Sunday, and Mahary - are amazing. They immediately made us feel at home and have been so helpful throughout the move-in process.
Our unit is exactly what we were looking for - great appliances, nice layout, and very quiet. The fact that everything is brand new and high quality is such an upgrade over our last apartment.
The building itself is beautifully decorated, has nice amenities, and the rooftop is stunning. The roof has two BBQs, tables, a gorgeous fire social area, a hot tub, and even cornole. It has great views of the city and you can even watch the fog roll over twin peaks.

Excellent, well maintained with responsive staff. During the time I lived here I had a great experience and would refer someone I care about to stay here. Ideal luxury apartment living in a good location in downtown SF.

We lived at the The Duboce for over a year while our house was being renovated it was a great place to live. The property is kept up really well, the amenities are top notch and the management team are AMAZING. I would highly recommend this building if you're looking for something centrally located near the 101 and everything the Castro has to offer.
Hot tub, two bbqs, a firepit, the view, package delivery to your door, trash valet - what more could you want? Everything was well maintained and kept in great shape.
Management team: They are hands down amazing and so resident focused. Shout out to Cory who is an amazing and accommodating general manager. We initially had a parking spot that was super narrow for our car, after a few weeks he was able to move our spot to one that was available and more roomy. Miles is also wonderful delivering the tons of Amazon packages to resident doors and even meeting a delivery when I wasn't home for me. He's always in the front office give a wave and a smile. Ulysses is the head maintenance guy and so friendly, and so nice... always asking me how things are going and chatting.
It's not a cheap place to live but if you can swing it you won't regret it, the management team and amenities make it a great place to live.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

RENTERS BEWARE!
Long story short: Unit 611 advertised as being 573 square feet. I measured everything in the space - every nook. Actual square footage: 458 square feet. They are callously falsely advertising at least this unit (and likely others as well).
Location is great, and hot tub is a nice perk, but there is absolutely no excuse for the space to be 20% smaller than what is being advertised. Moreover, as of May 22, 2020, they have reposted the listing without changing the square footage of the space after I've flagged this to them.
They do mention on their website the following: "Floor plans are artist's rendering. All dimensions are approximate. Actual product and specifications may vary in dimension or detail. Not all features are available in every apartment. Prices and availability are subject to change."
Given the price point we are dealing with, it's reasonable to expect that all advertising would be accurate. At the same time, it's understandable that there may be variations in floor plans and that is expected; however, the degree to which this was misrepresented is, frankly, unacceptable.
Verdict: Great amenities, but grossly negligent advertising. Do yourself a favor and bring a tape measure if you're thinking about renting here.

The Duboce TeamSep 2, 2019Previous reviewThey properly has change building management every year since I moved here, at the beginning the common areas were on excellent condition on 2017, but now on 2019 the rooftop need maintenance, the jacuzzi is usually out of service and it needs repairs , they got rid of community tables on the roof top , the cushions from the sunbathing chairs are gone ,, the sand bags table are gone, on the new resident portal you have to pay for convenience fee to pay for rent , which was free from 2017 to 2018, I love this place because is on a convenient location,However, the building needs some improvements

We lived at the Duboce for about a year and a half while our house nearby was being renovated. It's a great place to live with awesome amenities! The roof deck is definitely the selling point; it's nice to go up there on warm days and bbq, sit by the fire pit on colder evenings or use the hot tub at night with the amazing downtown views. The lobby has free waters and coffee drinks, along with chest full of convenience store items for purchase. The mail room with the package concierge is also a very convenient and the nightly trash pickup from your door.
The best part about the Duboce is the management team. They are all very friendly and extremely helpful. They take pride in their building and it is impeccably maintained. Cory, building manager, was always super responsive and helpful. Miles is so nice and was a great help with any day to day requests along with delivering packages to our door within minutes. We would literally get a message that a package was delivered and it would be at our door within minutes. Ulysses, the maintenance manager was really on top of everything, everything is always in top shape. And he's so friendly, always saying hi and asking how we were doing. It's really rare to find a great and friendly team like this!

I am highly impressed with the building, it's location (we previously lived across the street), as well as the amenities provided with the lease. Everything is done online and the team there was super accommodating to our needs.
Well worth the sticker price!

Dropping to 3 stars.
Things have started to go downhill here. We currently are letting our showers and sinks run for 15 min prior to showers just to get Luke warm water. Most of our friends have already moved or are considering moving. The new staff is responsive to requests but it seems like he Sanchez Street apartments are somehow too far removed from the hot water source. I came last Wednesday to visit my friend and was blown away by how beautiful the apartments are. I happened to come while they were doing an appreciation night and I was really amazed that the apartment management was doing something like that. They had lots of food, drinks, a raffle and even a Dj. I was introduced to the manager Brittany and she was so welcoming even to me as a guest. She was very involved with all the residents and engaged with everyone in such friendly manor. In the two years my friend has lived there they've never had many events so it was nice to have two in the same month. I really like the sense of community the management team is trying to build and how involved they are with the residents. It makes a difference when I visit. I definitely look forward to visiting again !

Thank you to the most unhelpful leasing staff ever. I've lived in SF for 10 years and walked over with my dog Waldo from my current apartment at 38 Dolores to check out the new space. The listing agents barely acknowledged me and simply told me that if I had any questions, all of the information was online. I asked for basic information, figuring having two leasing agents at the property must mean that they provide at least some kind of service. Again, their response was "check online." When I told them I stopped by to check out the units and get more information, they told me they were too busy and to try again another time, despite the fact that the place was empty.
I rarely write terrible reviews but the level of unprofessionalism is mind-boggling, especially since I was literally trying to get them to basically take my money.
