I have used Ducks for all my HVAC and plumbing needs for years. They are professional, affordable and excellent communicators. They recently replaced my HVAC system and it was a great experience. They walked me through the SMUD rebate process (they took care of everything and made it extremely simple) and installed my new unit so quickly-in the middle of summer. I am so happy with my new system! These are my go-to guys. Alex and Berto are the best. I would highly recommend their services.

We would give six stars if we could. Ducks replaced our air conditioning system and is the best out there. We got estimates from everywhere- Home Depot, Lowe's, A-1, Bonney, Sierra Pacific, Gillmore, and a couple smaller shops. We went with Ducks because

- They have the highest Yelp and Google ratings
- Their pricing was the most reasonable for what we had installed
- They were responsive, always same day replies, often immediately
- We felt comfortable with how they consulted with us on several options and the trade offs in long term savings vs. cost of more efficient equipment
- They were respectful in our home, respectful in how they spoke of their competition
- They were most concerned with the problems we wanted to address and how we wanted our home to feel.

The three man crew Alex, Berto and Rey installed the system in one day, cleaned and tidied up and left without a trace that they were ever there. Our home feels amazing.

Called Ducks on Presidents' Day because of a stopped-up bathroom sink. They were able to schedule a technician for the same day without any markup for an emergency call-out. Thank you!

Rey was sent out--absolutely one of the most professional tradesmen I've ever met. He was courteous, kind, and great conversation. I'm thankful for him explaining the weirdness that comes with an old ass home's plumbing. I also appreciated his recommending a tool for a homeowner to prevent needing to call a plumber and the tips on how to use it.

I've had a couple other plumbing projects, but glad I found Ducks and Rey. They'll definitely be my plumber of choice in the future.

Update to my review from 2/16/2017:
Years have passed since my last review and there really is only one name in plumbing and heating and air I ever want to call. Ducks has done 10's of plumbing repairs, HVAC replacements and repairs, full supply line replacements, sewer line repairs and replacements, and the list goes on and on. Every single time, they bring so much value, it's incredible. First off, they care, they seem to really go out of their way to do the job right the first time and not leave anything to chance or leave anything done in a sloppy fashion. This includes entering your home, before they step inside they always put shoe covers on, which shows attention to detail. They installed a Heat Pump for me after my HVAC kept going out season after season and was rusted out. I LOVE it! I've had some questions on a few things since and called them up and got an answer from the actual person who did the work within minutes. I didn't have to wait hours or days for someone to hopefully get back to me. The benefit of Ducks in my opinion is the same person who comes out and understands your problem to determine what the proper fix is, is the same person who is doing the work. There are no "salesmen" here, just a small mom and pop company that does quality work for a fair price. Thank you Alex and the whole Ducks team for taking care of me and my clients year after year now. I appreciate you very much! Keep up the excellent work.


Alex with Ducks takes service to the next level. He listens, educates, and does amazing work. As a Realtor I've had run into plenty of service techs. Alex really really impressed me from arriving early, to explaining the service he was about to perform, all the while he explained what he discovered as he continued through his process. When his sewer inspection was over, not only did myself and the client understand all the options we were educated about the process, and felt like he had answered all the questions before we had any. What really set his service into the exceptional realm for me was, we had a few other minor issues that perplexed us with the home and Alex was able to fix one in a moment, and the others he explained the issue and would be willing to take of them no problem when the work began, and the only reason be didn't at the moment was he came for an inspection and the tool he needed was not on this particular truck. He is genuine, honest, and exceptional at explaining things. I highly recommend Alex with Ducks plumbing and drain!

5 days before our wedding my hot water heater went out, I was able to get Ducks Plumbing out for a full diagnosis of my water heater. Turns out my unit was 13 years old so I opted in to do an installation.

Ducks Plumbing was able to do an emergency same-day full replacement of my system.

I will be using Ducks for my future plumbing needs!

Rey came out to give me a quote for a water heater replacement. I ended up going with a different company, but Rey was very personable and professional.

Was having an issue with my AC. Had someone come out from ducks to take a look and after doing an inspection of the furnace in my roof (?) and checking the temperature told me it was operating fine, all which cost me $145. A few days later i'm having the same problem again so i call and leave a message asking them to send someone back out again. Never got a call back. Called around and had a different company come out to take a look and as soon as he heard the AC unit running diagnosed a faulty compressor. After pulling it out and testing it he confirmed that was the issue and replaced it on the spot. I want my $145 back but i know that will never happen.
