Quickly received a very reasonable quote, and set an install date. Professional and expeditious installation had our new system up in running in no time. Evenbetter, we have seen a dramatic drop in our heating bill.

We reached out to Michael after having zero luck with our home warranty company fixing our Baxi combi boiler when we lost our hot water. Communication with him was super easy over phone/text, and after briefly describing the problem to him and sending some photos he was able to diagnose our problem and the part needed to repair our boiler almost immediately.

Customer service has been great. He gave us a thorough overview of our system and recommended maintenance that would likely be needed for the remainder of the boiler's life. He even followed up with us to ensure that our hot water continued to work after his repairs before billing us.

Matthew did a great job repairing our 30 year old thermal solar system which stopped working. I've never seen it run so efficiently and a lot quieter.

Our system had all sorts of unusual configurations but Matthew displayed a "can do" attitude matched with deep expertise and problem-solving skills to work through them. It was reassuring to see him actually plan solutions before jumping into cutting pipes.

Turned out we had pretty much a full system collapse and it was not easy to determine what was working or not. Matthew patiently worked through each part, troubleshooting and fixing until everything was running smoothly. Sometimes the system had to left running for a couple of days to see how it responded to real day/night cycles, and Matthew would return promptly and without delay to continue the work with the new information.

Our heater died on us almost before Thanksgiving.
Upon calling Mathew, he walked me through the options to repair and showed up at my place ready to replace the heater.
I have a complex one because it feeds the h heating system and also hot water. It was also in a tiny space, so all around a bit challenging.

Very pleased with my experience working with East Bay Hydronics - especially after the first company I contacted had to be nagged to provide an estimate and then charged me $265 for a misdiagnosis of the problem with my hydronic heating system. The other company's "repair" was going to be $1000! I appreciated that Matthew contacted me before he came out and walked me through some trouble-shooting so he could make sure he came with the right part. His total cost was $300! I wish I could find a company like this for all my household repairs.

I live in a 2nd floor condo and for whatever reason all of the units on the second floor here were built with a hydronic heater. The first 6 HVAC businesses I reached out to all said they do not work on hydronic heaters. I finally came cross East Bay Hydronics, reached out, and Matthew quickly replied!

Throughout the whole process we was very responsive, professional, and got the problem fixed very quickly. I wish I had found him sooner to save me all of that time researching and reaching out to others in the beginning.

Matthew came through again with our radiant floor problems. The thermostat of some 20 years age died. I tried to put in a new Honeywell wi-fi thermostat that had a third wire, but no luck.

He figured out the transformer even though the notation was arcane and there was no real instructions for the old controller. The heater works great now and my wife is very HAPPY.

My plumber on an ADU project didn't have the skill needed to follow through on the radiant floor system in his contract. When he hit a wall, he called Matthew. Matthew fixed the problem in a few hours and left me with a very nicely-wired system, with everything accessible and serviceable.

Fast forward a year and I needed help adding a second Nest thermostat in order to separate out heating zones. I got two visits from OnTech, "the Google Nest install team," and both were failures in separating the zones.

Matthew to the rescue again - this time he just texted me a wiring diagram that I was able to follow for myself. No charge, no problem. System worked like a dream on the first try after that.

Hydronic / radiant systems are complicated, so just go with the pro. This guy is a great resource for the East Bay.

6 stars! Matthew went above and beyond with his help. He arrived early. He wore a mask. He communicated and educated on every part of his repair. We did not have heat for a week, and he came in, quickly found what to look at, fixed the issue, and we had heat within minutes. This alone would get him 5 stars. On top of all of this, he helped with with other random things for a spare minute that we were told would take weeks to fix. If you want trustworthy, knowledgeable, prompt, and long-lasting repairs, for water heaters, pumps, and even a dash of electric work, look no further. Couldn't recommend enough. Thank you!
