Echols RV Repair

Wow - what a great experience! My water heater in my 2015 travel trailer quit working. I checked the fuses, the breaker, the thermo cutoff, and the switches for both electric and gas operation and I could not determine the cause of the issue. After reading many raving reviews, I called Echols on 10/30/17 and as per their voice message greeting, I also emailed them for a faster response. I received an email from Jonathan Echols later that evening telling me if the only issue was the water heater, I could just bring it in anytime and they would likely be able to repair it the same day. I was really impressed that they could even get me in, as most places (including Folsom Lake RV, where I bought the rig) want to schedule you out at least a month before you can bring it in, then it's another 2-3 weeks before they can look at your rig.

Anyway, I brought my trailer into their shop yesterday morning at about 10:30 and I received a call from Jonathan at about 4:00 PM to tell me they had located the issue, resolved the problem, and I could pick it up anytime. They would be there til 10 PM working on RVs during this busy season. The problem: A rodent had apparently made it's way into the rig and chewed through the wiring harness that goes to the water heater circuit board. The total cost for diagnosis and repair was only 1 hour of labor.

I was very pleased they could get me in so quickly, locate and repair the issue, and then charge me a fair rate for their work.

Even thought these guys are buried with work and trying to get everyone taken care of in a timely manner, everyone at Echols RV was very accommodating, answered any questions I had, and did it all with smile.

I have found the place for all of my RV Service and Repair needs!

They are the best! Quality work. Great value and eye to eye service! They are very thorough and back up thier work. It's the only place I will ever take my rv if I don't do it myself.

We have an older Country Coach Intrigue that was having some air leveling issues. After we called a few others that didn't sound very interested in working on it, we contacted Johnathan at Echols RV. Johnathan came out and inspected the coach, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and made the necessary repairs on a Saturday at our shop where the coach is kept. After three trips out, several hours of his time and all the leveling valves replaced we had a coach that operated as it should again. Now comes the fun part, the bill! I was calculating in my head all of his time, the parts replaced and his travel time and was prepared for this bill. Boy was I surprised when he handed me an invoice for MUCH LESS then I expected. I used the coach this past weekend and everything worked flawlessly...

I have been around RV's for many years, in that time I have meet many RV repair people but nobody like Johnathan Echols. His workmanship, honesty and integrity are almost nonexistent in his industry. If you have a RV of any type in need of any repair, I highly recommend Echols RV Repair.

***UPDATE***

I waited a couple of weeks before posting this.

I heard back from Johnathan the day after my original posting, and he has in fact decided NOT to send me my payment- because of this review.

I informed him that when I sent the trailer's paperwork it was in good faith, knowing that as soon as the documents were out of my possession that I would loose any leverage for being paid, and all I had left were reviews.

I offered to remove reviews when I was paid, per our agreement, and that it was his turn to show good faith.

I have not heard back yet.

I have resigned myself to the belief that he never intended to pay me and I have to find other matters of recourse. This is so NOT what I wanted my 2019 to start out like...



DO NOT USE!

Yes, I'll admit I'm upset but the facts are this; I purchased an Airstream that needed a frame repair.

I had Johnathan come out and give me a price quote and then had it towed to his facility. It was a rather extensive job and it was late spring, so it was the start of the busy season for his business, so he would get to it when he had a chance. It's fine, I wasn't in a rush.

Fast forward several unreturned phone calls and ALMOST 24 MONTHS later, and I am contacted out of the blue by Johnathan, saying that my trailer was/had been finished, and was ready to be picked up.

Unfortunately, do to family circumstances, my financial situation had changed. I was also surprised that my trailer was still around as I thought the business had shuttered and everything had been sold off...

Long story short, Johnathan and I reached an agreement to sell the trailer (at a loss for both of us), and he would send me a check for my portion. Trailer sold, I overnighted the paperwork.

I never received a check AND he has gone back to being non-responsive.

I would not recommend this company for repair of RV air conditioners. I actually wouldn't recommend this company for any repairs. They took our $165.00 they require just to show up and we haven't heard from them since. They have not contacted us and obviously have not returned any of our original payment. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and they tried to deal with them, but the BBB just let me know that they didn't respond to them either. Their rating will suffer even more as a result. Do not call these people, and definitely do not give them any money.

Professional, honest, communicates well and makes expert RV repairs. They handled some warranty work on my travel trailer. I appreciated the accuracy of their estimates and timing of repairs; and I value that they answer all my newbie questions with patience.
Highly recommended. I feel good about supporting a small local business.

If you need high quality RV repair work, I whole heartedly recommend ECHOLS RV REPAIR.

Here is the typical RV owners' dilemma: Your "multi-thousand-dollar, precious, rig" is damaged and needs repair. You feel really bad! Your head swims with annoying repair and insurance questions. Who can do a good job? What if the repairs aren't done right? What then?

Your biggest question is... who do you TRUST to fix your precious RV?

So you get on the internet and review lots of repair shops. Their reviews read like RV horror stories from hell! You cringe at taking your rig to the wrong shop! You don't want to go to the repair shop from hell. You loose sleep over who to go to.

Well, for those of us who have been to the RV repair shop from hell, and have been disappointed to tears and frustration, we have a sane recommendation... go to Echols.

Echols is busy because they are good. Don't dispair if it takes some time to get a return call and appointment.

I had a fantastic experience with Echol's RV Repair. They are true professionals and craftsmen when it comes to repairs. Unfortunately, the parts I needed for repair did not arrive till the day before I needed my RV back for a 6 day trip. Echol's RV worked well past close of business to fix my trailer and square me away for my family trip. In my opinion they went far above and beyond what I could have expected anyone to do for me. I know it might be hard to get a hold of them sometimes because they are very busy but trust me, they are worth the effort. It's a local family owned business and they blow the doors off any dealer or service repair center in the Sacramento Area when it comes to quality and craftsmanship. Thank you Echol's RV. They are Honest, Fair, and truely Professional. I will be back for all my future RV repair needs.

These guys are great. They came out and diagnosed my problems, handled all the warranty details and did an awesome job with the repairs. I highly recommend Echols.

Called almost 3 weeks ago left message and no return call. Should've read some of the reviews before I called. Very disappointed. My AC is not getting cold bummer.
