Jeremy and his crew are amazing. Jeremy has an amazing knowledge of of permaculture planting and a really beautiful design approach. He and his team came, cleaned up my larger yard, pruned our fruit trees and completely renovated out planting and irrigation setup. We couldn't be happier and couldn't recommend them higher. We have now employed them on a weekly basis for maintenance and upkeep.

The Edible Ecology team completed a total land and hardscaping/permaculture project for us and have been taking care of it's growth for over 5 years now. We've been able to dramatically decrease water needs and at the same time seen our little orchard, garden and wildlife habitat flourish into an amazingly diverse ecosystem. We really appreciate the way they work with our input and come up with insightful, creative and pragmatic ways to keep everything going and incorporate new features from time to time. On top of it all, just really good people that you feel great about working with.

I've been working with Edible Ecology for the last four years and am really happy with the service that Jeremy and team provide. We have a lot of fruit trees on our property and Jeremy does a great job pruning them every year so that they are healthy, grow well, and produce a lot of fruit. He is also an expert at pruning our Japanese Maple trees, which were not in great health when we moved in but are now thriving. Jeremy is communicative, punctual, and has always gone above and beyond in supporting our garden. I'd highly recommend working with him, especially when it comes to edible and ecologically friendly landscaping.

Wish I could leave a positive review, but Jeremy dropped the ball and wasted my time. He required sending pictures of the yard and then agreed to do the job, saying it was right up his alley. Told me that if i wanted a free design proposal that I needed to demo the yard, which I did. Then he required me to pay $250 for the proposal anyway, which I did (waited over 2 weeks for him to come by and give his design and just wanted to move the project along).

I asked him to do something similar to one of my neighbors yards, which he agreed would be very straight forward. However while at my home he started throwing out crazy ideas. Things like putting 5-7 trees in a 250 sq/ft area. It instantly made me doubt his abilities but was worrisome because it was completely out of touch with what we had discussed for weeks earlier.

I pushed back and said 1 tree max and instead of using the word 'similar' regarding my neighbor's yard i used the work 'verbatim' because it seemed like he needed specific instructions or things would go off the rails quickly.

He canceled on me via text a few days later. Only to then ask if he could still do the job a few hours later. Sorry dude, bridge burned.

I love supporting local small businesses but there is a downside to working with people who see themselves as artists instead of operators. The lack of professionalism here was a complete deal breaker.

** The following review reflects my experience DURING the COVID-19 pandemic. **

These are indeed challenging times, and I'm not even referring to the pandemic itself but how life throws you lemons unexpectedly. Well, I'm not the self-sufficient, HGTV-obsessed type that can make lemonade out of those lemons. That's why I appreciate a responsive and conscientious business owner like Jeremy who handled two separate tree trimming situations for me. The first was triggered by a neighbor who complained my backyard tree was encroaching on her property.

I just wasn't aware since I don't live there, and indeed it was overgrown and needed attention. I found Jeremy when I went searching for a tree service on Yelp. He was the first to respond to the suggested inquiries, and we were able to meet within a couple of days in order to assess the job and give me a quote. Within a couple of weeks, accompanied by his crew, he took care of the trimming by messaging me helpful photo updates for feedback and guidance and hauling away the debris all within an afternoon.

Just a few weeks later, the turbulent rainstorms knocked down the fencing around my place, and I needed a lot of trees to be cut back and cleared away. Once again, for a reasonable price, he managed this job by himself in a single afternoon. I found out later he also handles fence replacements and landscaping, and I would've asked him for an estimate had I not found someone else for that part of the job. Jeremy never asked me to review him here, but I wanted to let others know I have been a very satisfied customer of his services.

We had such a great experience with Jeremy on our front and back yard landscaping. We'd paid for a design by a landscape designer, but were still open to modification given that he would be the person with his hands actually in the dirt. Jeremy listened to what the vibe we were looking for was and came up with ideas that kept us generally on plan, but with a sort of fine tuning that helped us get exactly where we wanted to be. At every point, he offered ideas for eliminating expensive plans that he felt were unnecessary or could be accomplished cheaper or free. He gave careful thought to what would align best with what we wanted, our budget & our values and encouraged us when we were thinking about doing some of the work ourselves (i.e. - building the pergola ourselves). He talked us out of an irrigation system not only because it was expensive and unnecessary, but because doing the watering ourselves would help us stay more connected to the garden as it grew. While at first I had some doubts about this, I now think he was 100% right. The plants are still new & little, but I feel much more engaged with their success and am thrilled to see them flourish. He & his team were efficient and thoughtful and the work was done on time and on budget. I highly recommend Jeremy if you want to have a real partner in building your space. If you just want the work done, there are probably other folks you could call, but Jeremy's thoughtful style was exactly what we were looking for.

Great company with gardeners educated in plants! Jeanna is a botany major and Jeremy has something similar. They truly love plants and pointed out ways to help our garden be healthier and took time to explain, taking photos and sending me a detailed info because I had questions and couldn't be here during the . They work hard and are pleasant to talk with! Highly recommend.

Jeremy and the Edible Ecology team have been taking care of our yard for about a year now, and they are amazing!

They will execute your vision for a fair price and offer creative suggestions to improve your yard. They resodded our lawn, installed accent lighting, pruned one of our unwieldy trees (twice), graveled our walkways, replaced our lawn with drought tolerant plants and switched our sprinkler head to drip irrigation (which helped us conserve a lot of water!) . They also come by regularly for yard maintenance.

Without Edible Ecology, our yard would be a sad sight.

If I could give more stars, I would. After being told my sprinkler system needed to be replaced, I began gathering bids for the job. The bids ranged from $1,800 to $3,000. Jeremy came by and evaluated the situation. He called me that evening and told me my sprinkler system was fine and needed NO repairs. He gave me some ideas to keep the squirrels away from the sprinkler tubing.

It is sad to learn so any companies were willing to take advantage of me. I know nothing about sprinkler systems and I was a sitting duck for the abuse.
