Elan’s Ponds and Aquariums

Even though I was outside of Elan's service area,
He took a lot of time to listen to my situation, and then made a recommendation for someone also outside of my service area who was available to drive over. Unfortunately, there's really nobody in my immediate area who is available to solve my problem. I really appreciated his attitude and helpfulness. Very unusual these days to find somebody who would take the time to assist in a situation like this.

Around 2 years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Elan shortly after completing the construction of my small backyard pond featuring a small waterfall. This was after a few other pond companies had visited our pond, overcharged me for little to no work, and then never returned my phone call for subsequent visits. Elan has been taking care of my pond, and his service has been nothing short of exceptional. Not only does he offer valuable suggestions and keep the pond immaculate, but his genuine passion for ponds sets him apart from other companies. While others treat it as just a job, Elan truly cares about understanding the desires of the owner and provides helpful suggestions.

I am continually impressed by Elan's dedication, as he has gone out of his way on multiple occasions to acquire materials from supply shops that have significantly enhanced the pond's beauty. This pond holds a special place in my heart because my late younger brother, who bravely battled cancer, provided the liner with the hope of seeing it put to use one day. Thanks to Elan's invaluable assistance, it has kept and even improved its vibrancy in a manner that would make my brother proud.

Elan came by last week to take a look at the fish pond we acquired when we bought a house. It was murky, fish were starting to die, the pump wasn't working and we had no idea on how to take care of it. He looked around, gave an estimate and we set up a date for him to come by to get it cleaned up. He did some searching to find the right pump for our pond and to get the materials we needed to make the improvements. Yesterday he spent the day getting it all sorted out.

He came to work fully prepared with extension cords, a pump to get the water out, a large bin for the fish he removed temporarily and all sorts of other things needed to get the job done. Once he emptied the pond, we found the old pump and discovered it still worked. So he could return the new one he bought.

The job ended up being bigger than we thought due to the large amount of muck at the bottom of the pond that was deeper than we initially thought. He ended up getting it done with care and thoughtfulness.

He finished within the day. Cleaned up after himself (no puddles of muck anywhere) and answered all of my questions on how to keep everything working as good as he left it.

He has a maintenance service which we'll probably take advantage of and once we decide to redesign the backyard, we'll definitely utilize his skills in making the pond an even better place to sit and watch the swimming happy fish.

Elan was reasonable with his prices and his level of work and attention is above par.

The person I had been using in the past to clean our goldfish pond had not been doing a great job, so I searched in Yelp for alternatives. Elan doesn't have many reviews, but I'm sure once people know how professional he is, the word will start to spread.

I had discovered a leak in our pump, and the pond needed a good cleaning. Elan was able to take care of both in less than one afternoon. I liked that he made sure the goldfish were safely stored in the shade with oxygenated water. He took all of the water out of the pond (unlike my last cleaner), and completely cleaned the bottom and sides. While the water was draining, he was able to quickly fix the leak in our pump as well.

The pond has never looked so clean, and the goldfish have never looked happier ;). Also, dealing with Elan was really easy -- he was very responsive and his communication was clear. Thanks again Elan!

Elan kindly referred me to another customer (after getting his permission) for taking some extra pond plants off his hands. Elan is very familiar with the types of pond plants that thrive in ponds and are beneficial to fish. I certainly will use Elon for any pond-related activities.

Had Elan do a spring cleaning on my 1600 gallon koi pond and I was impressed by the clarity of the water when he finished. Elan was very knowledgeable on pond's and how to clean it properly.
