Sokol is the bomb!!! The real deal!!!After BMW concord Stealership tried to take me on my auto repairs for $3500, Sokol did my repairs expertly and efficiently in 48 hours. Even threw in a great car wash, interior detailing, and changed my oil filters that were in bad need of replacement (dealer didn't even mention that). Sokol installed a new starter and fixed several oil leaks. Cost? $2200. Sokol, you have a loyal customer for life (at least the life of this car--I may have to go electric next time around). Best BMW repair shop hands down! My car corners and drives like new, better than it ever did coming from the dealer "tune-ups." Take that, BMW Concord!

Finally an honest mechanic who does not rip you off! Sokol went above and beyond for the repair work. He refused to install nuts that wasn't capable of handling the suspension and drove an hour to buy the parts that he needed! He was able to complete the work on the same day as he promised. Price was reasonable too! Euro motorcars have just gained a lifetime customer.

Initial communication was through Yelp's "Get Pricing" quote. Sokol responded within 48 hrs. Which was a plus! First time taking my car in for service in SF, due to a change of ownership to the last place I usually take my car to. (It was in the East Bay) I came across this business through searching on Yelp.
I feel like his quote was reasonable. Came in for motor oil & break fluid maintenance. Dropped my car off at 10:30am & got my car back at 4:30pm the same day!
I also like that Sokol provides a list of detailed recommendations/reminders, because I'm definitely not a car person. lol.
Thanks Sokol!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bridgette A.San Francisco, CA191329Aug 11, 2023

This place is the best. Sokol has kept my 12-year-old Mercedes in tip-top shape for more than 5 years. I'll buy a new one when he retires.

A++ BMW Specialist/Mechanic. Best in the game.
Writing another review 2+ years later after my first time seeing Sokol. Took my car to him probably ~5-6 times now. He's the most reliable and trustworthy mechanic that you can have working on your car. He knows how to diagnose most/all situations and fix pretty quickly. He fixed all of the following on my 2001 BMW X5 4.4L V8:
- EWS sensors
- Control Arms
- Ball Joints
- CV Boots
- Flex Disc
- ABS Sensor
- Radiator + Hosing
- Starter
I've been able to drive more than 10k+ miles on this car to Tahoe/Yosemite multiple times in some of the deepest snow. I'm glad to have Sokol as my main mechanic.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Feb 26, 2019Previous reviewSokol is an amazing mechanic who's passionate about his job and extremely detail oriented + honest. I don't want to take my BMW X5 anywhere else. I took it to him last week and he gave me the full run down as well as walking me through his repairs. Fair price for the labor and parts. Needed his expertise to make my tahoe car in great working and reliable shape. Highly Recommended and is an A++ mechanic. Will go back to him whenever I need anything fixed.

I wanted a timing belt and water pump replacement on my 2010 Audi. So a coworker referred me to Sokol. Sokol not only did the replacement but also proactively provided me with details on other issues and their remedies over a video call. So he ended up replacing timing belt, water pump, vacuum brake pump and tensioner. All in less than 50% of the cost (TB and WP replacement) what two local Audi dealerships quoted me. I would definitely 100% recommend him to any German car owner.

Sokol is the best. He's been taking car of my older German car for years now and I trust him. He's fair and is too busy w/ loyal customers to try to rip you off or do a shoddy job. Highly recommend him but kind of want to keep him more a secret because he is always so busy!

Sokol was fantastic. He did a brake fluid flush and diagnostic an error message on the car very quickly and gave me appropriate remedial options.

As soon as your European car is out of warranty, I highly recommend you get it over to Euro Motorcars for your maintenance and repair needs. Sokol and his team are great to to work with and someone I trust with my Bavarian Beast (BMW 335). With my prior car I had taken it to another shop that specialized in German cars but decided to try this one based upon the more convenient location and the Yelp reviews. I was impressed.
I called in for an appointment and brought it in. If this is your first visit I suggest googling the address to see what the entrance looks like as it can be easy to miss on a street as busy as 6th. The narrow entrance leads to a ramp to the shop on the second floor. Sokol greet me immediately and led me to his waiting room (as others have mentioned there is a interesting assortment of books on the coffee table). We reviewed what I wanted done and I relayed the history of work performed on the car. A couple of hours later I received a call with the additional work to be performed, along with a video of the hot mess (oil leak) that had to be fixed asap. He provided a detailed list of parts and work that would be required, an estimate for time for completion and the additional cost I would incur.
After I received my car, the following day the car started to malfunction. I texted Sokol to ask him about this and he called me back immediately, and on his day off! We discussed the likely cause (new spark plugs) and he assured me I could still drive the car home but to bring it in on Monday. I cannot tell you how much that conversation helped to calm my nerves. He replaced all of the spark plugs, tested them out for 20+ miles and then instructed me to do so as well. He also sent me on my way with a list of items that needed to be addressed the next time I brought my car in as well as items I could expect to deal with in terms of wear and tear down the road.
Sokol patiently answered all of my questions and did so without any of the attitude I have received from others (i.e. dealership) who assumed all I know about cars is how to turn it on and put gas into it. Throughout the process Sokol kept in touch with me via phone calls, emails and text messages. I really appreciated this level of customer service. I found him to be honest and straightforward, the work thorough, and his prices fair and reasonable. He doesn't waste time upselling you on unnecessary repairs or glossing over complicated repairs. I asked him for recommendations for work he does not do and was happy to find out they matched the shops I patronize already.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Toni J.Oakland, CA02526Apr 18, 2020
Top of the line service. I originally discovered Euro Motorcars like a lot of you reading this review, on Yelp.
Corresponded w/ Sokol regarding a Mercedes I recently purchased and getting a tranny flush on it. He was very responsive asking me a few questions (making sure I was bring it in for the right reason) gave me a very fair price and told me I could bring it in this week. I dropped it off before work, we chatted more about the car, made me feel very comfortable, talked about any other concerns I had, and by my lunch break it was ready for me to pick up..
When I arrived he lifted the car to show me all the work he did on it, giving me a new tranny pan, fixing a few oil leaks, etc and STUCK TO HIS ORIGINAL QUOTE. He even disinfected the driver seat/door in front of me (b/c you know COVID-19) we even chatted about the dealership I use to work for and where I purchased my car. Very honest and experienced man. Besides the dealership I would not trust my foreign car anywhere else. Thank you again Sokol.
You have a returning customer.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
