I have to brag on Preston.

My car has been sitting for a few months as the electronic steering wheel lock has failed on my 2012 C250.

You might be experiencing the same as we did, the best way to know is to professionally have it diagnosed.

Periodically my car would have a short crank and no start or a no crank and no start with additionally the screen would not come on. But the tall tale sign was that the car was not making the "swoosh" sound when I insert the key into the ignition.

After diagnosing it, watching several videos, mustering up the courage to do the work, and just a little luck on my side, I was able to remove the steering wheel lock. Because they are prone to failure, I decided to replace it with a Steering Wheel Lock Bypass aka wheel lock Emulator.

An Emulator is a little box with a microchip in it that basically tricks the cars computer by telling it that the steering wheel lock is properly working, when in fact the steering wheel lock has been removed and replaced by the emulator.

I endlessly called locksmith in my area who were unable to or unwilling to do the work. I was about to give up when I decided to call one more, I flicked my phone screen and landed on "European Car Keys" and decided to make one more call.

To my surprise, Prestons answered my call within the first few rings. I explained what had happened and what I needed. To others as it did to me, might have sound like gibberis, but Preston knew exactly what I was talking.

He confidently confirmed he could do the work. We scheduled an urgent same day appointment and on the weekend.

Preston was here on time, properly introduced himself, professionally dressed, work truck was clean and everything in order. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it.

I showed him the car, gave him the key and with out saying more he was on the job.

Preston was done in less than an hour, and he even cut and programmed 2 keys for me. The total was $350.00 card, cash, Venmo all of it.

After contacting several locksmith companies, by far, this is the best company I found. They were responsive, professional, reliable, and reasonably priced.
It was ridiculous the price range other companies quoted me for their services, ranging from $160-$500.
I provided my own key fob that I found on eBay, and I'll I needed was to have it cut and programmed to have it as a spare.

I just want to say that Preston is professional and knowledgeable in what he does. We lost our Mercedes Sprinter key and couldn't find anywhere for few days.
