Evergreen Tree & Gardening Service

My name is Gary and I am the newly elected President of a 20-unit Homeowners Association (HOA) near the top of Twin Peaks. Recently, our HOA decided it was time to repaint our four 100-foot tall buildings. To do so requires extensive tree trimming making room for contractors to erect scaffolding. I interviewed 5 tree trimming firms and easily settled on Evergreen Tree & Gardening. It turns out this firm was recommended to me by a good friend who had a superb experience with them. Its owner, Elias, visited our site, inspected our many very large Cypress trees and severely overgrown brush all requiring extensive trimming. Elias presented a very detailed and well thought out proposal. What happened next was truly impressive. His crew arrived and 2 days later all of the trimming was done perfectly and the cleanup spotless. Elias far exceeded my expectations. I have used Elias Martinez and his team for over ten years for both tree trimming and yard clean-ups, and they always do an excellent job. Scheduling is easy. They always show up on time, work efficiently, and clean up meticulously, all for a fair price. Most importantly, Elias is very knowledgeable about trees and how best to care for them. He takes real care and pride in shaping trees so that they look balanced and attractive, and the end result always looks great. I'm always amazed at how beautiful our yard and trees look when he's done. He's a pleasure to work with.

After the big storm in October, our giant Monterey Cyprus had sustained some serious damage, with a few broken limbs dangling dangerously over power lines (ours and our neighbors). We texted Elias, and within a few days, he and his crew arrived and set to work. A few hours later, the broken branches had been dispatched and they had expertly thinned the remaining crown. He and his crew are professional, efficient, and thorough. They also took care to protect the downstairs rooms they had to haul the branches through, and cleaned up after themselves. This is our third time over about ten years using Evergreen, and we would highly recommend them to anyone needing tree trimming services.

In the past I had been working with low cost independent folks to trim the tree on the sidewalk in front of my house. Elias and the Evergreen Tree & Gardening Service crew were recommended to me by one of my neighbors. The whole process was smooth. I reached out to arrange for a quote and someone from Elias' crew (can't remember his name) came out within a day or two. We agreed on a price and schedule the trimming. The tree looked great and the crew were on time and efficient. I was only able to watch for a brief moment, but it was clear they were professional and efficient.

While the job cost more than what I had been paying it was well worth the extra cost to get a thorough and great looking tree trimming. I've gotten several compliments on the tree since then.

Elias and his crew were awesome! I would recommend him for anyone that needs tree/bush removal and tree trimming.

We moved into our place late last year, but we didn't give our backyard the love it deserved. Over the past year, it was in disarray and we needed to clear the numerous bushes and few dead plants/trees in the back.

We contacted Elias for a quote, he came the next day and even though he wasn't expecting to work that day, he was able to pull together employees to get the job done! He was able to clear out our backyard in a few hours - starting at 10:30am and finishing just before 2pm. Our backyard looks great and we have great plans for it coming up!!

Pros:
-Elias has great communication and is super friendly
-Elias was very knowledgeable and helped pick out the trees that we should keep. (Japanese maple, nectarine tree and another tree, which I forgot the name of).
-Price was reasonable
-Workers were funny and great bunch of guys

Cons:
NONE!

Also want to add, it was an abnormally hot Saturday in San Francisco and Elias and his crew worked through it. Can't thank them enough! They did the job quickly and at a reasonable price.

I called Elias on Sat to give me an estimate for tree trimming. He came by within a few hours and even told me about my trees and showed me photos in a book. Always nice to know what is growing in your yard!

Only two days later, Elias and his team trimmed my trees and they look better than ever. He also did a great job tidying up when done.

I'll definitely be using Elias and Evergreen again!

He provided several alternative solutions. He is able to perform service in a timely manner. Elias provided a very competitive quote and is very professional.

Services: Elias arrived on time, and completed the work in the time specified. He cleaned up everything. My trees now look beautiful and well-manicured. I am happy! He has referrals for other services (landscaping, concrete) and I intend to follow up with them.
