Excel Plumbing Supply Showroom

We did a remodel of our entire condo this past year, and it was extremely stressful because without ANY previous experience, I decided to take on the task of designer and project manager. My contractor just installed what I gave him. I had no clue about plumbing fixtures or building codes.....just knew that I wanted good quality items that didn't cost me our entire budget. I checked out some of the high end plumbing supply stores around the Bay Area and was mortified by the cost and marginal customer service.

Then, I went to Excel Plumbing and met Irene. It was truly a fantastic experience for a novice like me. They had all of the high end, contemporary fixtures, toilets, tubs, etc. at contractor prices AND they had Irene. She was extremely patient, informative, and honest. She frankly told me all the pros and cons of each item, and several times she actually stopped me from buying a more expensive item that was subpar in quality. She SAVED me money! On top of that, she was meticulously organized, and seriously on top of everything.

Living in SF, we tend to have high standards on service, and Irene truly set a new a bar for me. Thank you Irene and Excel Plumbing! I seriously could not have done this without you!!!

We looked at multiple showrooms for new faucets and other items. This place carries some very high end and unique products. There are vanities, med cabinets, towel bars, tubs, toilets, mirrors,etc. it was also my favorite place because the staff is very customer oriented.

I can't compliment Cherrie enough. She is responsible, responsive and knows her products. Our contractor talked to her on the phone several times while she explained how the insides of the rough in works while he was trying to install a new model shower unit. A couple of times, brackets for the cabinet were missing or the cartridge on the rough in was defective and she got them replaced by the company within a week. I only wish every show room staff was like her. We have friends who are thinking of remodeling and I'm going to tell them to come to this place first. If we remodel again, I'm coming back here to see Cherrie.

Had an issue recently with two high-end toilets (I'm a fancy boy), and we had a couple plumbers come take a look to see if it could be fixed without having to replace them completely. Their recommendations were to replace them totally, which was a bummer for many reasons, not the least of which, was the price! Between the good folks at Excel plumbing and discount plumbers, we were able to get this squared away with a much more reasonable solution and everything is working great.

We own multiple properties with plumbing fixtures that range from 100+ years old to less than 5 years old. In the past twenty years they have NEVER failed to have whatever weird or esoteric part that I needed to replace. Just bring in the cruddy old part, show it to them at the counter, wait a minute, and he comes back with a new one! They have saved me so much time and heartache looking for plumbing parts.
The "storefront" is industrial, not retail looking. Don't be scared or intimidated, this is where you should go for plumbing parts and fixtures. Worth the drive from wherever! My absolute highest recommendation.

I walked in knowing that I had the slimmest chance of finding the part I needed. After searching online, calling Grohe customer service multiple times, trying ebay and other plumbing supply shops, I knew this place was my last chance. If I didn't find the part, I'd have to pay a plumber and tile repair person to rip out the old stuff and put in a thousand dollars of new parts. Allen is basically a genius who knew exactly which discontinued Grohe fixtures he had in stock and found the perfect match within ten minutes. Thank you Allen!

There's a plumbing desk and a showroom side. If you just need a part, go into the plumbing side. There's no appointment needed. The wait may be long but it's worth it!

I was planning a kitchen and bathroom remodel and had a pretty good idea of the plumbing related items that I wanted. I set up an appointment with Jennifer. She was very patient and knowledgeable when she showed me the products they sell. She helped steer me to products that were better for my needs that the ones I was going to buy.

She helped me select the sinks, faucets, shower heads and controls, shower drains, medicine cabinets, toilets etc. that would work best for my home. She provided excellent information about the pros and cons of various brands, and worked within my budget.

My experience working with Jennifer was great. She didn't rush me, was knowledgeable, helpful and easy to work with. She was also fast in providing updates to my long list of items when I made a few last minute changes or when items were backordered and I needed to select substitutes.

Excel also provides great customer service, which sadly is becoming as rare as a sunny summer day in San Francisco :)

We are new to the world of wall mount toilets, particularly what goes inside the wall. Our plumber recommend we buy a certain model at Excel Plumbing on S Van Ness. That was a fantastic recommendation. The guys at Excel in the plumbing side (I didn't go into the showroom) are friendly, knowledgeable and funny. They had every component I needed and even suggested a part I didn't know I needed. And they didn't talk down to a novice. Just helped me buy my parts. First rate business.

Alex is awesome! We needed several items for a bathroom remodel, including a toilet, exhaust fan, and shower hardware. Alex walked us around the showroom, patiently explaining all of our options and answering our questions. We wound up purchasing a toilet and exhaust fan from her. All in all it was a super positive experience.

A month later, we learned that the exhaust fan we purchased was too tall and wouldn't fit in the ceiling (there wasn't enough space). I emailed Alex and asked if we could return it (it was unopened), and she said no problem.

Amazing customer service! We will be back for our next bathroom remodel!
