Fairfield Auto Repair

We were traveling from the states in our van when our brake light went on. Fairfield auto said they had a cancellation so they could fit us in even though they had a 2 week waiting period. They removed all 4 wheels and said our brakes were good. They charged us for inspecting the brakes but were honest about the fact that our brakes were good.

When we got home we brought the van to our regular mechanic. They confirmed what Fairfield mechanic had said and replaced the brake sensors which solved the problem.

It was scary to have mechanical trouble while traveling and on a limited time schedule. They were kind and honest. We are so grateful that Fairfield auto helped us when we were far from home!

I have dealt with them 2 times, and they were very rude :( I also at one point asked for clarification for something and they completely lacked any sort of understanding and ability to communicate clearly and politely.

Great work by some hardworking beauticians! Don't have a ton of experience with auto repair, that said, these folks make it an easy choice to not look anywhere else - keep up the beauty show you've got going!

My father used this garage for 35 years and I've also used them for 20 years. They've always been great up to now- they've done big jobs like bearings, brakes, and replaced tires...all kinds of things. About two months ago, my exterior side mirror fell off during the below zero weather and I asked them to glue it on. They told me it " couldn't be glued on " and I needed a 469.00 side mirror replacement. My friend three doors down is a heavy duty mechanic . I told him and he came over with windshield polyurethane glue. It took 4 minutes to glue it on. The garage also did an oil change and DID NOT CHANGE MY FILTER. You've got to be kidding. We don't always have huge jobs to do. I deeply resent being lied to because they can't be bothered to do a small job, even though I've done tons of big jobs with them. Since my late father and I have used them for over 40 years, it feels pretty lousy to have your people not give a crap. I get that they are busy, but you don't do an oil change ever without changing the filter. Everyone knows that. I have spent a month musing whether or not to do this review as I've always loved this place. I asked my mechanic friend and two others what they thought, and they all said they deserve a bad review. I'm bitterly disappointed in your attitude. Won't be returning and feel betrayed by your careless attitude . FOUR MINUTES!!! Don't tell me you don't possess windshield glue! You've been in business 40 years so you must know or could have asked. Being ripped off- not okay. Ambivalence- even worse. SOOOO DISAPPOINTED IN YOU! My father is probably rolling over in his grave.

Great service and very good prices. They were super transparent and always called me to see if I wanted to proceed with certain repairs. Everyone I spoke to who worked there was very nice and professional. I had a tune up and it was completed quickly and they also cleaned my car inside and out (not a deep clean but still nice as my car needed it!). I am a female who knows nothing about cars so I am an easy target, but they did not take advantage of either of these things, unlike many repair shops. Highly recommend and will go back!
