Stumbled across Fancy Cuts in the middle of the day and decided to give them a call. After briefly talking over the phone with an employee, I was able to get a same day appointment for a women's cut with Van. The employee + Van was really kind.

My hair was in need of a long overdue trim due to breakage and split ends from being blonde. I got seated immediately upon arrival by Van. I had a dry haircut since I had just washed my hair and it took about 15-20 minutes. I'm very happy with what I requested versus what I got in the end. Thank you Van! I'll definitely be returning for my future trims.

Got highlights, gray blending, and a cut by Van. She did a nice job and is reasonably priced. I would definitely come back when it's time for a touchup or trim.

Just did a quick google search closes to me and we found this lovely place. Took us right away and did a great job. The shop is nice, clean and has many chairs. Service is friendly and attentive as soon as we walked in greeted and they took us right away.
Overall a nice friendly place that I wouldn't mind coming back to.

Fast, efficient, affordable, clean. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It seems like everyone has their own barber they are accustomed to.

My go-to barber is Binny. She always takes care of me. I've been going to major barber shops my entire life. Once I gave Binny a try, she changed my perspective about trying new places. She's extremely accurate and has all the tools to make my hair sharp and "wedding" ready for all occasions.

I'd highly recommend trying this place and asking for Binny :)

Shoutout to Yelp for allowing me to find this place! Women's haircuts can become quite pricey depending on where you go, so I was grateful to find this place, where women's haircuts start at $20. I think because I got my bangs cut, it was an additional $5. Still such a steal! I called ahead of time to book an appointment for Friday morning but they do take walk-ins. I got my haircut by Lucy. She was friendly and sweet. My hair was long and the same length, so I asked for layers and also showed her a photo of someone else's haircut that was done here. I also asked for face framing bangs. I'm pleased with how it came out. I didn't notice until I got home that the left side was a little longer than the right side (looking from behind), but not a big deal, since it's not noticeable from the front. I would go back!

Let me start off by saying that I was a bit hesitant to having to find a salon that will do my hair. I get it cut once every couple of years so it's hard to stick with one person. After searching all salons in my area I wanted to find someone with a high score and good reviews. I found Fancy Cuts on Hesperian.
I walked in, did not make an appointment and Lucy took me right away. I explained what I wanted and showed an old picture of myself. I'm not picky but I was tired of my long hair. I explained I wanted it all chopped off with an A-line and color with a section of bleach.
She did such an amazing job!
After cutting down a section she checked with me on the length and baby I wanted shorter and that is just what she did.
Amazing! I flippin love it! I will definitely be back and hopefully sooner than in a couple years. I mean it, if I could give 10 stars I would!
It was the best haircut and color I have gotten in a while! Thank you Lucy and thank you Van for accommodating me when I needed to charge my phone. Y'all are epic!

James cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and better one of the best haircuts I've ever had took his time and went through it over and over to get it just right I highly recommend him!!!!

I started coming here fall 2019 under recommendation from a friend and I have consistently been referring her to others since. She truly takes care of me, making sure the water is ok and I'm comfortable, being gentle with brushing my hair, and even telling me to take a nap when I doze off! I always reach out to make an appointment, even if it's just for a purple shampoo. My hair is moderately healthy for being bleached many times with Van knowing exactly how to process my hair. She even recommends products to use to help maintain it as well and I always go with what she recommends. I always get a million compliments on my hair and I'm nothing but proud to share her skills with others!

I've strictly been getting my hair cut and colored here for the last three years, simply because of Van and Lucy's exceptional work! Booking an appointment with them is a breeze, I'm usually able to call a week ahead and get the exact time I want, depending on the service I'm requesting. Van always knows exactly what to do with my hair, I don't even have to show her photos as examples of what I want!

For a full balayage, it took around 5ish hours on my medium-length hair. Van and Lucy work quickly and thorough, while making sure I'm comfortable at each step. After the final wash and dry, I always ask for soft waves and leave the salon looking amazing! They also walk me through at-home hair care, suggest products, and follow up treatments.

If you are like me and have naturally jet-black hair and had trouble finding a hair stylist/colorist, look no further and book an appointment with them! They also have some of the fairest prices in the bay area :) Even after moving 40 min away, I will continue to only come here to get my hair done.
