The team at Faxon is fantastic. I have taken my car there for years and always felt they are really honest. I had a coolant leak and took it in. They had fixed the water pump several months ago. They said the issue was covered under warranty and they just fixed it. No charge.

I highly recommend them.

Faxon Garage has made the change SEAMLESS. Solid craftsmanship and knowledge, and VERY competitive prices for labor. I'm a VERY HAPPY customer, and will keep going to Faxon.

For more details: This is an old school shop, in an old school part of the city that is family run. I've taken a few cars to Faxon over the last 5-8 years for small jobs when I can't go to my old shop for whatever reason. They're a tire rack installer, they do minor and very complex jobs. The shop seems to be a fluid assembly line. You need to call ahead as much as possible for work so you get your car seen. I think that speaks volumes on the amount of customers that prefer Faxon over the next choice. The owner Walee is very knowledgeable and very customer oriented. Walee checks in to see how I'm doing since the last visit and even post-job. Walee makes sure you're heard and it shows. I've never had an issue over the years and I'm confident they're within walking distance of me. They even send you a work order by phone and allow you to pay by phone. This is HUGE for me because I work so many hours and aren't always available to come down to pay, then pick up. They're keeping up with the times while giving that hometown atmosphere.
I'm really glad to have switched my loyalty over to Walee and Faxon. I'll be referring everyone to this place and they'll continue to be the main shop that works on my family's cars. This is a shop that does it right, and they make sure you know you're taken care of.

One of my tire pressure monitors failed and was displaying two dashes instead of two digits. I bought a new tire pressure monitor and decided to have it installed on my spare tire.

I had to go to Win Long Hardware and buy gas in the area so I brought the spare and tire pressure monitor to Faxon Auto. I think I was quoted $35 to install the new monitor. I left the parts with Faxon Auto and was told I would be called when the tire was ready.

Around 4 pm I got the call and picked up the tire the next day. The job itself is pretty simple. I normally do it myself but I can't break the bead of the tire.
A shop used to do that for me but they closed.

Good work and reasonable prices, but they left a scratch on my door handle.

I went to get a full synthetic oil change on my 2016 BMW 340i. Last second, I asked for a brake fluid flush as well, and luckily they were able to accommodate me. I was asked to pick up the car very late ~15 minutes before closing, but I think that's reasonable due to my last-second request for an additional service.

Unfortunately, the technician who had grabbed my car in the morning had opened my door into the wooden utility pole next to the parking. Luckily I don't drive a show car, but I would have been very unhappy if I had been driving a brand new vehicle and this had happened. Someone did clean the scratch up with some grime remover after this picture was taken and while it is still scratched, it is barely noticeable now

My daughter brought her Nissan here and had THE BEST service at an auto shop she's ever had. Not only did they offer a competitive rate, they were personable, professional, and even went the extra mile to fix a rim for her. They followed up with her via text days later to make sure the vehicle was running well. Wow, just wow. 1000% recommended.

Faxon is super professional and awesome for an independent shop. I've brought them the more complex jobs, when I know it needs to be done well at a decent price. My most recent timing belt job, they quoted almost 50% lower than the Honda dealer -- definitely an easy decision to make and I'm very happy with the work!

A friend recommended this garage to me as I was looking for a new mechanic. I brought the car in for a check up and oil change. They found that a front strut had shifted and it wasn't safe to drive. I appreciated their honesty, excellent communication and competitive prices. This is definitely my new garage.

This shop is a little bit of a drive to get here, but for me it's worth it.

They have taken care of my cars from the first time I used them to mount some tires I purchased online. Their kindness and attention to detail is what keeps me coming back and referring my family and friends to use them.

The pricing is reasonable, and before you think you know what service you need, let them give you an assessment of the issue because they will try their best to not over prescribe services you don't need.

They have my vote for quality, value, and great customer service! Keep up the consistency.

Update: Another great experience. These guys are honest. They could have sold me on something that turned out to be a non-issue but they checked it out over and over and didn't recommend any work. My previous review is detailed. This one is just to thank the people at Faxon Garage for their continued honesty in dealing with customers. I find them to be very trustworthy and competent. The explanation for the decision was way over my head. The point is that they could have, but didn't, upsell me. Honesty goes a long way.

Buyer beware! Took my kia to Faxon Garage last week for a steering wheel clunking sound problem, was told a while later that the whole steering wheel needed to be replaced for 2k+ and for a diagnostic fee of $161.28 (fee was never mentioned when dropping off my car and had to be paid before getting my key back). Baffled by the 2k+ quotation I took my Kia to another repair shop for a second opinion, and within one min of looking at the wheel the new shop's mechanic said it's a common problem for all Kia and Hyundai cars, part is $5 plus labor of about 3 hours. Had the steering wheel fixed for about $650 within the same day. Clunking sound is gone and car has been running fine.
