Absolutely love Melanie and her services! After having my first baby, my postpartum hair was a mess. I had a relaxing session baby-free and recieved a scalp facial which was heavenlyyy and learned about all kinds of organic and holistic products to add to my routine. She is so informative and sweet, I would recommend her to everyone!

Honestly, Melanie is the best! She does such an incredible job with my hair. Love that she uses organic products. Lots of compliments on my hair since I've started going to her. She is also just such a wonderful person! Easy to talk to, a beautiful heart, truly cares about what she does and does an amazing job. Definitely my favorite hairdresser I've ever had. Melanie truly works her magic! She really puts in effort to take her time and listen to what you are wanting. I enjoy her chair at The Moon Room, knowing they are an eco-friendly, sustainable salon. They use organic color, and carry a vast array of Earth conscious products. I love that Melanie incorporates aromatherapy and crystal energy into my time in her chair. She is very accommodating and patient with major changes - they can be scary! I always leave with such confidence and on a high from our time together.

I am so grateful for Melanie! I've struggled for years with thinning hair and since seeing her I've experienced a major improvement to the overall look and health of my hair... it has so much more body and fullness, and the color is rich and beautiful. For so many years I had to keep my hair very short because it would just look limp and thinner if I tried to grow it. With Melanie's expert styling I have been able to grow out my hair and I love it!
I also appreciate the organic color products she uses...no burning or tingling on the scalp, and better for the environment as well.
Plus, I love Melanie's personality...she's sweet, caring, and upbeat!

I'm in no way a hair color aficionado, I have had balayage and I have had highlights and only started dipping my toe into the pool of these services less than 5 years ago. I went through a phase of highlighting the heck out of my hair so I would be, as they say, "blonde af." But my naturally ash blonde base started to look darker and darker in contrast to the icy highlights. Super gorgeous, super fun, super expensive and unsustainable. Enter: Magic by Melanie (who recently opened her very own magical salon called Fern & Fae and I'm obsessed). Honestly, I have so many complimentary things to say about Melanie's craft and energy, I don't know where to begin. 1) She's unparalleled in skill, professionalism, and grace. 2) You will leave with the hair of your dreams, and you will keep the hair of your dreams with the seamless grow out that has you thinking 3 months later, "well my hair looks great, I don't NEED to get it done...but I WANT to go freshen up." (No more post salon anxiety about when your roots will start inching their way back into the party). If I thought my hair was gorgeous before, I love it ten times more now. 3) You will feel so.dang.good. throughout your pampery appointment, sipping a coffee or a sparkling water, it's like a charging station for your energy reserves as well as a hair salon. 4) If you're anything like me you will close your eyes and just relax (for the first time in a stylist's chair) for the entirety of your appointment because you 100% trust what Melanie is doing. *Anyone else with hair trust issues? I found out about Melanie from a couple of friends of mine who always has the most beautiful hair. They gave me Melanie's information and I'm SO glad they did! I had been doing my own hair for years and had gone back and forth between light and dark and could never achieve the look I wanted. All of this ended up really taking a toll on my hair. It was difficult to let go of being the DIYer that I am, but it was truly the best decision ever to start having my hair professionally done. After my first visit with Melanie, she gave my lackluster hair so much life! It was beautiful and dimensional and actually shined again! I had brought in a set of clip in extensions that I wore often and wanted to color match. Melanie politely suggested that I might be happy trying tape in extensions. Yet again, another amazing decision! She has truly transformed my hair into the most dimensional and beautiful shades, and now its long and gorgeous every day. I never realized how much of a confidence boost waking up with gorgeous hair can be. Absolutely 100% the best choice I have ever made and is so worth the self care budget. What makes it even better is that Melanie is an absolute doll and always a pleasure to see. She has an immaculate eye for detail and really knows how to make you shine. Part of me doesn't want to spill the beans because I don't want to fight for appointments with her but she is truly the best and I just want to return even a portion of what she's done for me.
