i am such a fan of the ferry building, especially their saturday farmers markets.
regarding the farmers market: it can get crowded but there's something for everyone! from fresh produce, to a hog oyster stand, to homemade goods, there are so many different things to see and try. the food selection looks larger now than it did before, and there are picnic tables set up for more organized eating as well.
definitely take a stop and browse around, you'll likely try something you haven't had before.

Part of my weekly routine when I lived in SF a decade ago was to hit Saturday farmer's market, grab a blue bottle coffee and a porchetta sandwich, and bike along the Embarcadero into Tiburon and back.

I've since moved away, settled into dad mode, yet every time I come back into town I swing by as part of my SF greatest hits... things are SF-priced but the quality is amazing as always!

My husband and I decided to visit this farmer's market during our road-trip. This has got to be the BEST farmer's market we've been to, dozens of vendors and even live music! Not to mention it's located at the famous historical landmark, San Francisco Ferry Building! So many shops and restaurants we wanted to try! At the farmer's market we stopped by Midnite Bagel and both ordered a delicious Salsa Seca bagel with Jalapeño Spread and also picked up some sweet Murcott Mandarins from Rojas Family Farms!

I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing farmer's market, located on the Embarcadero, on Market Street! Parking is available nearby at Embarcadero Center Parking or Sea Wall Lot 351. This farmer's market is open Tuesdays & Thursdays 10 AM-2PM and Saturdays 8 AM-2PM.
We'll definitely be returning to check out more of their local vendors! SYOY! :-)

My friend came to visit and wanted to check out the Saturday farmers' market at the Ferry Building. I haven't been here in a while and didn't realize how packed it was. I know it's popular but Wow!!! I wasn't prepared for all the people. Probably more food vendors here than Off the Grid but hey, what do I know, I haven't been to one of those in a while as well. This is a great place to go for all your fancy food cravings as the inside markets have everything from caviar to specialty chocolates. Outside on Tuesdays and Thursdays, they have a smaller version of the Saturdays farmers market but this place runs year round so it's pretty amazing. Lots of food vendors and produce vendors. I think the prices may be slightly higher than other farmers markets but that's to be expected. My friend and I had a great time walking around and checking out a bunch of vendors and their offerings. Overall, fun times.

So busy and so many people at the Ferry Building Farmers' Market.

This farmers market is as good as it gets! We took MUNI from Dolores Park and getting there was a breeze...

I'm a super fan of El Molino Central (Sonoma) and Farmers Wife (Sebastopol) and both eateries are set up here serving delicious food. So many options for farm fresh food and something for everyone.

We bought everything we needed for bruschetta and more! I made the mistake of buying a four pack of Guava hard cider and carried it around the rest of the market. Eating fresh, clean, and local never felt so good!

The Farmer's Wife - hands down the best sandwiches/melts in the world. My wife and I have dined at some of the best restaurants around the world and these sandwiches give us more enjoyment than many of those dining experiences.

We've lived here for 3 years and we now get these sandwiches EVERY SINGLE Saturday we are in town. It is unparalleled, and the flavors Kendra puts into the sandwiches are so diverse and rich. Very friendly team too!

If you visit the Ferry Building, don't miss this stand!

If we resided closer to the ferry building, we'd make it a routine to visit the farmers market every Saturday. This long-standing event continues to expand and impress, boasting a diverse array of tempting, high-quality vendors.

We have a fondness for the cooked foods, baked goods, fresh produce, and the exceptional coffee they offer. While the lines might vary in length, the experience is well worth the time and journey from any part of the bay.

You can drive and park in the paid lot nearby or the metered streets. You can easily take Bart or Caltrain from other areas of the bay. If you're local, the bus or bicycle is a ideal way to commute to the market.

Beyond its remarkable selection, it's our preferred farmers market due to its waterfront location, bustling energy, and unparalleled quality that surpasses all others we've explored. For those who haven't been, we strongly recommend giving it a shot - you won't regret it, and a splendid way to spend your morning.

I love the Ferry Building's Farmers Market for all of their amazing vendors. I've been to tons of farmers markets, and this is one of the Best. Yes, some items can be pricey but totally worth it. My girls and I love spending time here after our workout at the Bay Club a few blocks away. We grab breakfast at one of the farmers market vendors, we love the one that serves tamales, chilaquiles and fish tacos. It's so good but they take cash only so bring cash.

I like checking out all the bread, cheese, fruit and veggie vendors. There are also so many restaurants in the Ferry Building you can check out after shopping at the Farmers Market. I love it here and it's a great place to spend your Saturday mornings.

One of my favorite farmers market. I just don't get into San Francisco for it enough. Today I made it but it was a little late so some of the booths had already sold out and gone plus our weather's been unreliable.

There's so much to choose from. It starts in front of the ferry building goes around back so just keep checking out all the booths
