We pay monthly rent for a parking spot in this garage and our car was broken into. 2 windows were smashed and items were stolen. Our own fault for leaving anything in a car in SF but assumed that at $300 a month, security would be patrolling to prevent theft.
Guess not! Not only was our car broken into, but no one alerted us that this had happened. We have a parking sticker on the car and they obviously have our information, yet no one reached out.
Not sure what security does, so it's best to just not risk parking here. When we asked the building to at least reimburse us one month of rent for the spot, they refused. Horrible service overall and we are canceling this spot for somewhere more secure and better service.
Avoid at all costs!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 11, 2018
We were having dinner in the area. Parking can be a pain, so my friends ended up parking at the Fillmore Center Garage. I believe they got here on Wednesday, May 9th a little before 6pm. When we picked up the car, it was around at 7:45pm, so for less than 2 hours, the cost was $5.
I can normally find parking somewhere in the area, so this is a last resort if it's a busy night or I'm running late. And cost wise, $5 is not bad for about 2 hours. Convenient garage when you can't find street parking.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0 - Rosy U.Berkeley, CA01Oct 25, 2022
HOW does this garage smell so bad. Bottom floor is atrocious, anything higher the smell is strong enough to make one dry heave. I cannot believe no previous reviewers have mentioned this. It's a truly remarkable, once in a lifetime experience. Gave it an extra star for uniqueness alone.

This place is a complete joke! Forgetting all the terrifying posts about cars getting broken into the entire company is a mess. First of all, the car burglary makes total sense since the one attendant that works there was chilling FaceTiming someone. THEN when I attempted to pay, it refused to take my card. This happened twice, so shame on me for returning, I completely forgot. When I called for an attendant it gave me a wrong number automated message lol. Then I called and it seems that the emergency line is a out of area phone line that has no clue how to handle situations. Being there at night, in a suspect area while it's pouring rain is miserable. Never ever again!!

AVOID THIS GARAGE. My car had the rear window smashed, and 3 other cars nearby had their windows smashed during a at the Fillmore. I had gone back to the car during the show to put my jacket in the trunk, so sometime in the 2 hours between then and the end of the concert all our cars were broken into, and security had no idea. It took all of us calling and looking around to finally get someone to come take a look.
THEY HAVE NO CAMERAS showing the parking areas, only the entrances which anyone can just walk up to and follow someone else inside. Obviously they are smart enough to have a "we are not responsible for damages" policy clearly written on the cards but they should be responsible for having adequate security and surveillance to prevent this from happening so frequently.
I do not recommend anyone go here, it may be close to the venue but having to pay a $260 repair bill for a single window is all I need to know to never come back here again. Also, the thieves didn't even take anything of value, literally $0 worth of items were taken. Such nonsense.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christina G.Sacramento, CA44596Feb 14, 2016
READ THE REVIEWS.
I should have listened, but I didn't. Parking was a decent price and seemed so safe. There are some of the most beautiful and expensive cars I've seen in San Francisco parked in the garage regularly, however, the night I put my 13 year old truck in there, it became a victim.
I parked at about 11am, and when back at 4pm to insure that it was locked and safe for the night, only to find a window broken and stuff rifled through. I honestly believe my car would have been safer on the street than in a "secure" garage. Park at your own risk, knowing that the 25$ overnight rate could turn into several hundred for a new window.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Hope O.Portland, OR475823Dec 3, 2012
While living at the Fillmore Center, this garage was my only option for parking. I paid for monthly, which was in the ballpark of $150 a month, so pretty much standard/borderline cheap for San Francisco.
It was always clean, I personally had no security issues, no break ins, and it was well lit. Located roughly 1.5 to 2 blocks from the Fillmore (venue) and very close to a lot of restaurants and shopping.
Hourly rates were standard as well. Don't bother trying to find a spot on the street, just pull into this garage and save some time :)Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Jason P.San Francisco, CA243100109Apr 27, 2017
I have had one bad experience, and one exceptional experience most recently here. The bad one was when one of there pay stations was out of order and I went a few minutes over my validation a few months back. The older guy lectured me about not waiting to the last minute to get my car out in case this or another issue comes up. While I appreciate the constructive criticism, I didn't appreciate the condescending way he talked to me. He was eating something while I was being "reprimanded". and chunks were flying out of his mouth and into my car! GROSS!
The most recent one was a nice younger guy I felt with. My ticket got jammed up in the pay machine, and he came to help. He apologized, put it out of order, and manually opened the gate so I could get out. His customer service was wonderful! I didn't feel like the idiot the first guy made me feel like. I wish I knew his name, but a very nice younger gentlemen. Thanks for making this a simple resolution. As far as reviews for break ins, a secure garage can only be so secure. people can slip through gates or doors. Adults need to grow up and not leave crap laying around in their cars. The majority of car break ins happen because someone sees something interesting laying out for public display in the car. I have NEVER had a car break in. Then again my car is always empty or appears that way. I never leave valuables inside, or in public display.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Marian L.San Francisco, CA19Sep 4, 2015
Sadly, my car was broken into at this, supposedly, secure garage. It happened to a second car as well. Security either via camera or attendants is seriously lacking. Now, I have to pay a $500 deductible for comprehensive. Is this justice?
