Fitness 19

Came here on a day pass with low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. As soon as you walk in, the front desk staff is very welcoming and informative, guiding you to the equipment and facilities. The bathrooms were very clean, and the workout areas were well-maintained. Everything works as it should. My only complaint is that the gym is a bit small. Other than that, for $19 a month, this place is great!

This gym has been under new management for several months, and I think it's time for an update. New management, new rules? There has definitely been a shift with the new guy, and it reveals itself in how well the gym has been maintained.
Since the departure of the previous manager, the women's restroom has been neglected. The entryway to the restroom is falling apart, and in recent days, the wallpaper fell off, revealing mold on the underside. There has been a quick fix that still leaves the mold unaddressed. (This is an owner/upper management issue.)
Now, onto the restroom itself. The stalls have lacked basic necessities; the counters used to get wiped frequently, too. Do they have someone to clean the ladies' room? Yes, and it's a one-MAN-cleaning-crew; the problem with this "crew" is that HE has walked in multiple times unannounced, leaving me feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. Today was no different. Have I brought this concern to Jake, the current manager's attention? Absolutely, and I was met with his lack of customer service skills and lack of empathy. While at his desk, he paused, made little to no eye contact, and displayed his disinterest; his sole focus seemed to be the visible spreadsheet he had been working on. I have also reached out to the district manager via email to no avail. I was also given a phone number to reach someone at the corporate office, but no one returned my call. So here I am revising my review in hopes of getting someone to give this iron sanctuary the attention it deserves.

The front desk staff might as well be sleeping cause they don't greet you or say a word to you when checking in.

All the cardio equipment is cramped and on top of each other due to lack of space.

2 of the stairmaster machines are out of service and 1 weight machine is out of service.

The only problem so far is that the bathroom is clean.

High regards for Jesus! Professional, friendly, consistent aura and just positive vibe all around! He shows up for himself and for the members of the gym - this is much appreciated in an establishment where people are leaning towards a balance experience. We need more of Jesus! Thank you!

I came here the other day to get a guest pass, but the staff wasn't at the front desk. So I just looked around, it's a nice gym itself and looked pretty clean but it is a lot smaller than it seemed on some of the reviews here. On the bright side, if you do like taking classes, the aerobics room is a good size.

I've been going to this gym for about 4 years now. I enjoy coming here because of the workers, and other guests. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The price is fair in terms of what you're paying for. The gym is a little small but they have all of what you need. I wish they added more squat racks, however, since there are only 2. Gym does get packed around busy hours of around 5pm. Can't beat $15 a month for a gym that has everything you need.

The Gym is nice and clean. A little to small for my taste but working out is working out so it really doesn't matter to me.

I just want to call out one of the trainers. It is common gym etiquette to re rack weights but this particular trainer didn't care about that and just directed his client to move on to the next workout without wiping down the sweat or reracking weights.

How could the business expect members to follow proper etiquette when the face of the gym itself says screw the rules.

Place is predatory. Their cancellation policy is ridiculous. Want to cancel at Planet Fitness? Walk in and it's done by any member in less than 5 minutes.
This place requires you write a freaking letter stating your cancellation, A FREAKING LETTER!

They've been charging me for the last two years when I had come in to cancel during Covid. Still charging me to this day.

Loved fitness 19 after my horrendous experience at 24h fitness (see my last review before this!). I am looking to relocate in the area but the gym I choose is definitely a deal breaker on where I am going to live. I decided to try fitness 19 - they offer a 7 day pass to locals and technically because I don't have my California state license yet, I wasn't supposed to be able to try it yet based on their terms and conditions. The staff were extremely kind about my situation and still let me book a one day trial to test out the gym! A+ for customer service alone. He even took the time to walk us around for a tour and explain pricing even though we weren't paying customers (yet!)

The pricing is very affordable and if you're a Canadian looking to relocate to the US.. let's just say they're half the price of a standard gym here! This gym is pretty well kept with a lot of cardio equipment, a stretch and body weight area, a cool water massage chair, a room where classes are held and even a powerlifting area with bumpers! All the equipment was well maintained and they had tons of variety even in a small area.

The only thing I would "complain" about is that the gym is a bit small for my liking and even in the middle of the day on a weekday, it was pretty packed and it was hard to wait for certain pieces of popular equipment (the chest fly machine was a fan fave, with people lining up for it with their bags lol)

Anyway - I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone in the area especially when their pricing and the facility you get. Not to mention they were the ONLY gym kind enough to understand my situation and be kind about it - which is why all the other gyms lost our business immediately with the stank attitude.

I'm new to this gym, but I've already had a great experience. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Kevin took the time to thoroughly explain the different memberships to me. I worked out for three days and then walked in unexpectedly just as they were closing on a weekend. Despite this, Lydia was kind enough to stay after hours to help me sign up for my subscription. Highly recommended!
