Five Emerald Limousine

This was the fourth time we've used Five Emerald Limo to and from SFO and have been very satisfied each time. On our last trip, Philip, our driver arrived early, was friendly, helpful, courteous and most importantly, got us to the airport safely and on time. Philip was also our driver on our return trip and was again excellent. I highly recommend Five Emerald Limousine.

I've gone back and forth on posting this for over a year. However looking back at my experience I can't help but be upset by the way it was handled.

In October 2021 I took a ride with Five Emerald Limousine with my family. The day started off fine, but ended terribly.

We left our last spot of the day around 3pm, providing a specific address for our final destination. After a few minutes we noticed we were going the wrong way and brought this up to our driver. He told us he was following the GPS and that it was the right way. A few minutes later we were no longer on a road, but on loose gravel path. At this time we asked to turn around. Our driver agreed, stating he was going to pull up a little more and then turn around.

Our driver decided to turn around on a long grass hill (just past a loose gravel turnaround). The limo got stuck and at that time we got out of the limo because it felt dangerous. It was a good thing we did become as the driver was trying to reverse the limo, the grass underneath the limo caught on fire. We had noticed a fire extinguisher in the car on our ride up, so we went to get it to put the fire out, but the doors to the limo were locked. We banged on the windows profusely for what felt like minutes. The driver finally unlocked the doors, we put the fire out and then the driver came out of the limo discombobulated and in a haze from the fumes.


A few key takeaways from this experience...
1. SAFETY. We truly could have been seriously injured if we had not insisted on getting out of the limo while the driver turned around on a hill (I can't help but think about the unfortunate events of when people have died inside limos with locked doors when fires have taken place ).

2. CUSTOMER SERVICE. As the sun was starting to go down and we were waiting for another car that the driver told us was coming (which never came). I called the limo service phone number provided just to ensure they were aware of what was going on and that another car was truly on it's way. I was faced with attitude and dismissal. It wasn't until I advocated for myself and informed him that the winery we were at in Saint Helena had called the Fire Department and CHP to look into this matter because no car should have been where we were AND that the winery we had visited us felt terrible for us that went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure we had ride since we were stranded. It wasn't until that that the individual from Five Emerald Limo said a manager would be calling me.

3. FOLLOW THROUGH. I was offered a free ride (see attachment text message). When I initially received this offer, I wasn't comfortable taking it because I wasn't comfortable getting in another Five Emerald Limo. However, after some time I thought I would give it another shot, sometimes people and companies deserve a second chance. Unfortunately when I reached back out on this offer, the fine print (that wasn't included in this text message) was shared and I was informed that the free ride would only be to the Airport (10 minutes away) and that it would not be the same free ride I had initially taken (bay area to Saint Helena). The manager went back on her word and to me after a situation like this, that is unacceptable.

I arranged transportation with Five Emerald Limo for my boss while he was in San Francisco last week. They showed up on time inside the airport and avoided heavy traffic when taking them to their destination.
When they arrived for pick up, they communicated with my boss early to let him know they were already there. He was very comfortable with the driver Abe and requested him for the return trip. I had several emails and phone conversations with them as we had to change schedules a couple of times and they were always very responsive and helpful. We will definitely use them the next time he is in San Francisco.

My husband and I have been using Five Emerald Limo since we moved to the Bay Area about a year ago. I first discovered them when doing some research and found that they had one of the most competitive prices in the market. My husband travels for work multiple times per week, and they have always been reliable, with professional and friendly service. I really appreciate that they often arrive a few minutes earlier than scheduled, and always with a clean, luxury vehicle stocked with bottles of water. The best part about them is that they have a great online booking system which makes it super convenient to book roundtrip travel seamlessly during any time of day. I would highly recommend Five Emerald Limo!

If I could do 10 stars I would. Five Emerald saved the day. I can't say enough great things re: the professionalism of Five Emerald Limo. They were always early and stayed on top of the needs of over a dozen major recording artists and their teams. They provided over 60 trips for me in a three day period and I didn't have one complaint... but I did receive several praises. I will always use Five Emerald Limo in the Bay Area they're second to none.

WOW! The BEST car service in SF area ever...From our on time pick up to our final destination, Five Emerald limo is the BEST! Ira was the driver; he was soooooooooo polite he made us feel like royalty. If you want GREAT car service this is the site!

We were flying from Ontario California to SFO for a business conference for my husband, we had a what was supposed a 3 hour layover however were were delayed an additional 2 hours, that was apparently NO PROBLEM for Five Emerald Limo because as soon as we got our bags from baggage claim and waited on the curb my husband's phone was ringing and it was the dispatcher for Five Emerald asking if we were ready for pick up. Literally 2 minutes later we were greeted by a Lincoln Navigator with our AMAZING driver Walter, the SUV was fully loaded with ice cold drinks and Mike and Ike's candy. We were very surprised with the Lincoln because we originally booked a town car so to have the extra room was FANTASTIC as we are a family of 3 with a small 2.5 year old son.

All of the above was not only welcoming because our trip was longer then expected BUT we had the GREATEST experience with Walter. When we entered downtown San Francisco, Walter was informed that he was cancelled on his next pick up thus he had a couple extra minutes to show us a little bit of the popular spots in the city. Well those couple of minutes turned into 1 hour!!! He took us to Nob Hill and Russian Hill, down some of the craziest steep streets. And he also took us to Lombard street and drove down so we could cross that off of our list early!!! We had the absolute best time and even requested him for pick up to the airport. We would HIGHLY recommend this car service and would 100% use them again if we find ourselves back in San Francisco!!!! My one and only regret is that we wished that we could have used this service to take us on a sightseeing tour but unfortunately time would not allow us to do so, hopefully we can do that if we come back!!!

I researched MANY Limo services to take my family wine tasting in Napa for a day trip from San Francisco. After interviewing the companies over the phone and reading the Yelp reviews I went with Five Emerald Limo. Ira was great to work with and assured me of a pleasant experience.
Ubo arrived 10 minutes before our scheduled departure and drove us to each destination we gave him on the itinerary. He even made a special trip down a narrow country road, had to wiggle that stretch limo around, just so I could travel down memory lane. Very impressive!
He had us promptly returned on time.
The price was comparable to other companies too. You read some horrifying stories online about some services and I was very concerned.....so relieved all went according to plan.
The car was fine, but it seemed like an older model....some of the limos out there are beautiful and classy. I'd say the one we had was average.
Regardless, I am so glad I chose Five Emerald service and look forward to using them again.

I use Five Emerald Limo when I go out in San Francisco on the weekends. Ira always arrives on time in a black and elegant town car and he knows the best places for dining and clubbing in SF. He always makes sure customers have a good time. He actually offers cold sodas and water in the car. So cool! Hire him!

We used Five Emerald Limo for a recent girls trip to San Francisco and couldn't be happier. One day we went from San Fran to Half Moon Bay and the next day went from San Fran to Napa. Both days Luis was our driver and I can honestly say I have never had a more professional, friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, and all around perfection in a driver than Luis.
