Five Ten Gifts

Love this shop and all its fun items! Just got this set of 5 glass trees ((Christmas or any time!).

So fun. Also has pink, green and blue.

This tiny place is filled with colorful, interesting things everywhere you look. Herb planters, pocket knives, clocks--so many gift ideas. Like the Room of Requirement, but squeezed inside a closet.

This funky little boutique is about the size of my kitchen, but it's filled to the brim with tons of cool goodies for your home. I could spend an hour playing with everything in here. Form over function reigns here for the most part.

I picked up some fun pink acrylic clothespin chopsticks here just for the hell of it. You know, I occasionally have some friends who come over to my house and don't know how to properly use regular chopsticks. Funny thing is though, these chopsticks are harder to use than real ones. Whatever - they look cool and make for a great conversation piece.

Be unboring and do your gift shopping here. It's highly unlikely the recipient will want to return it.

If you're ever looking for a gift for me pick up something at Five Ten Gifts. The odds are about 99% that I'm going to like it.

This is a fairly small little shop with a very eclectic set of gifts like a blow up moose head that looks like it's mounted as a trophy, clothespin chopsticks, specialized ping pong rackets and so on. There aren't many more that one of each item so not only will it be cool (for you or as a gift) chances are you won't see too many of them around town either.

I was on my way to lunch with some friends and happen to have some time to spare and wandered into Five Ten.
It's in a cute lil Victorian style bldg neighboring an office so it's kinda obscure if you are walking down Waverley but they do post a sign up front on the walkway.

The store definitely have some cute gimmicks and knick knacks....Pylone spades, toaster and luggage tags.

I visited Five Ten tonight and found tons and tons of awesome design gifts for my designer friends. The shop is small, but jam packed with all kinds of colorful gifts for yourself or people who like well designed, unique things. The variety was similar in some ways to what you find at a MOMA Store, but actually had quite a bit more interesting things than I've seen in most museum stores. I picked up a couple of different folded paper calendars, some high power / colorful magnets, a designer frame/thingy, and a couple of other odds and ends. There's a really awesome clock that I've got my eye on, and probably five or ten (ha ha) other things I'd like to give as gifts.

The store hours are a little tough if you work 9-5, but Whitney is happy to stay open late if you email or call her in advance, which is what I did.

What a great find! I am always looking for something unique and fun and the whole store is chalk full of exactly this. I happened by the store off of University Ave and while it is small, it is loaded with items I have never seen before. Perfect gifts for the hard to please friend or relative :} I always stop by when I am in town and never have been disappointed. Great seasonal gifts too!

Another great store for gifts. I've already gotten some great stocking stuffers here. I got a great neoprene laptop case here (prefect for shoving into a purse!).

I love walking into a store where I can just walk around and look at everything. This is a great store to browse in, but you won't be able to walk away empty handed.

This is a great store for gifts and knickknacks that you probably wouldn't find anywhere else. I found gifts for 3 people with very different personality types and was so happy that I only had to stop at 1 store instead of 3+.

This store is very cute and also very small. But they use their space well. Every nook and cranny is filled with delightful goodies. They have things like baggage tags, wall clocks, vegetable peelers(!) in the shape of a woman and other fun stuff. It's really a great place to browse and find things you didn't even know you needed. You'll probably find a gift for your best friend, significant other, parents, professors, and boss here. In one place. In the size of a large walk-in closet.

Be aware though that such cool things come at a price. There are bargains but you'll have to search for them. Just ration out the number of times you come and it shouldn't be a big problem. Hm...I'm due for another shopping trip here soon...

Whitney continues to find such creative gifts. I can always pick up fun presents for friends (and myself). Last week I mentioned that a clock I bought many years ago finally "bit the dust". Oh, she had an extra one in the back which she quickly presented me in their cheery bag. Wow! Thank you!
