Fix My Gadget

This is my official update to this business under the title Fix my Gadget. This business has two locations, one store on Watt Ave in Sacramento and one store in Grass Valley.
Every business has it up and down with employees who are not committed to work,
The owner Sara and her husband has the two stores and now in need of talented staff who needs work and don't mind assisting customers in a high caliber way. Give a call and inquire if you feel you be the qualified remedy to be successful.

I used the Yelp service quote feature to get a quote to repair my broken headphones from various businesses in the area. Fix My Gadget responded with a quote to repair my headphones for a flat $35. When I went to the location on 11/27 to drop off my headphones, the young guy took the headphones and charged me $35 for the repair and gave no indication of when they would be fixed just that they would call us. Later that evening I received a text message that they found the issue, parts will be ordered, and the headphones will be ready for pickup in a week . There was no communication of the cost of these parts, that they were in addition to the $35 I had already paid, or confirming if I wanted to continue with the repair knowing the new cost. They just ordered the parts and assumed I would pay for them.

One week later, on 12/5 I hadn't heard from Fix My Gadget, so I texted. I got a response that the parts were arriving on 12/6 and by 12/7 the repair would be done. On 12/7 I hadn't heard back...again, so I texted. Fix My Gadget responded saying the parts will be delivered on 12/14. Another week later, on 12/14, I hadn't heard bak, so I texted....again. I got a response that the headphones were ready for pickup.

When I arrived at the store, I tested the headphones and everything worked great. I'm guessing these were different headphones altogether, because they wouldn't pair with the devices they were previously paired with at originally. In addition, Fix My Gadget charged me an addition $62 for "parts" which they never communicated or confirmed I was willing to pay. Come to find out, the $35 I originally paid was a nonrefundable deposit as the person at the business explained to us their process, but it was the first time we heard it. Overall I paid almost $100 for my repairs that I was not expecting.

The communication was most likely broken down due to the multiple ways we contacted the business where each representative probably assumed our first point of contact explained things, but we were unhappy with the information we got during the entire process. We were happy that Fix My Gadget was able to fix my headphones in the end. I think anyone who uses their services will need to ask more questions than we did and the experience will be better.

Excellent quick work! Only thing is that Yelp says they are open Sunday but they are not.

Upon first glance you might be tempted to write this tiny electronics shop off. Don't. After another shop ignored and skipped over me I found this shop. I'm so glad I did. When I first walked in to this crowded shop in Country Club Mall I was greeted by a line of people. Ergh. But the woman who was working the day I went in was a dynamo. She welcomed me and in an orderly manner dispensed with the line in seconds. I was certain I needed a new charging port, but it turned out my off brand (Anker) charging cord and Amazon purchased "Apple" USB-C was to blame. I purchased a new Apple cord and Apple USB-C and Magic!!!

I was accused of lying about getting my screen fixed from them, even though I proved and showed her I had my warranty receipt which states I can get a replacement if it glitched, which it has since I got it done. She originally said it will be 30$ then she charged me 50$. that will be the last time I go there.
My name should be in the database, otherwise how did I get my receipt ? how could I put it "wrong" on your device but it's correct on my receipt? Next time don't assume everyone coming in your store is lying or trying to beat you out of some money. :)

I was referred here by a friend and using this referral was one of the best choices I made all week!! The screen on my Apple Watch randomly lifted and Muhammad took care of it within minutes! He was proficient and extremely polite! Definitely recommend!!

My toddler broke the screen on our Apple IPad 4. I asked around and this place quoted me $99, whereas everyone else said $200 or more. The screen was cracked with no black spots. I decided to take it here, even though it's 30 min from my home. When I got there Thursday morning, I was told it would be $199 because the damage to the screen was more than they expected. Since I had already driven that far, I agreed for them to fix it. They said 4 hrs. I waited around with my 3yo, did various activities around the mall. Went back around 4pm, iPad is still not fixed. The lady, Sarah, promised to deliver it to my house (which is the only reason this place received 2 stars, they had nice manners). I paid, and waited for her text. I fell asleep while putting my kid to sleep and didn't hear her calls around 8:30pm. I drove back and picked it up on Saturday, only to find a huge air pocket (1st picture). She said she'll fix it. We picked iPad up before closing and found dark spots in the corners and some parts of the screen (the last two pics). I haven't talked to Sarah yet about this issue (my husband picked up the iPad), but I really just don't want to leave my iPad there any longer. This iPad cost me $800. Not sure how much more I am willing to spend to get this screen fixed. :|

Mohamed the store owner of fix my gadget is extremely kind, and very knowledgeable of all electronics, he has ALOT of items in his store ranging from phone cases, to phones, laptops, wireless chargers, wireless headphones, car holders and battery packs plus so much more. The options are limitless he can order and fix anything, and he BEATS THE COMPETITORS pricing! My sister has come here had her phones and iPad fixed and I recommend any and everyone to stop by to either buy supplies for gadgets/electronics and 9r fix your electronics. My son managed to wear out the charging port on his iPad, so I decided to look into having it replaced. I called over a dozen different repair places, and Fix My Gadget had the best pricing. They did a great job with the repair and even gave me a call when it was ready for pickup. Highly recommended.
