FixEm was professional, reliable, effective and reasonable. Bryce came to Berkeley and diagnosed and repaired our Viking oven which had multiple problems. He also fixed our dishwasher. He knows what he's doing and there were no surprises. It Is reassuring to know that I have a dependable appliance repairman - I will call FixEm and Bryce When I need a repair. Mary Ann

Another service call was needed for our dryer... this time, the dryer was squeaking.

Jose showed up for the repair. He diagnosed the issue and immediately fixed it. I really liked him... he reminded me of an OG repairman, someone who has been around and knowledgeable in his job.. He was friendly and professional.

This is company is fast and efficient in responding to your call and needs. The quality service is top notch. They really care about your ensuring your satisfaction. I recommend this company if they service your area.

**by the way to Zoey M** you shouldn't give this company one star because they don't service your area in Richmond / Point Richmond. I'm sure they have their reasons and you're in their city boundary. That's their right to determine where they will go.**

Unreliable scheduling.

I cut my trip from Tahoe short so I could return a day early and I can be present for my appointment with these guys.

As I am waiting for them, I receive a call from the scheduler during my appointment window to reschedule for the afternoon instead since it is convenient for the technician's route.

I politely decline and reschedule for the following week, since I have many obligations that afternoon.

The following week, I return back from my out of town trip a day early from Superbowl weekend to once again be present for my appointment with these guys.

As I am waiting for them, I receive a call from the scheduler (on a recorded line) a few minutes before my appointment window (9-12 pm), and she wants to reschedule because the technician is sick.

This ordeal was very inconvenient and I declined their 3rd attempt to reschedule. I thought their high rating would be a no brainer but I have lost confidence in their ability to stick to appointments.

The scheduler was polite.

I will say these guys were responsive. But that's about it. I called them a while back to fix my leaking washing machine. The guy on the phone was cordial enough and set up a date and time for the tech to come to my house and diagnose.

Well the day came and the tech showed up. Man, did he not look happy. He seemed grumpy, right off the bat. And honestly, seemed like he didn't want to be at work that day. He took a look at my washing machine and in 5 minutes told my wife and I we needed a new washing machine. Didn't offer to fix it, no explanation really, nothing. AND we still had to pay them for coming out to tell us they couldn't fix it.

Whatever, we thought maybe we got unlucky and the guy was having a bad day. Well our fridge then gives out 6 months later and I call these guys again, giving them a second chance. Well sure enough, they sent the same tech, and guess what, he had the same look on his face, same grumpy attitude!! How could this happen twice. My wife was the one who talked to him in regards to the fridge, and when he opened our freezer, liquid came out and spilled on our floor (because everything defrosted). Dude didn't even say sorry, just told my wife "you probably want to clean that up". Are you kidding me!!!! And then again within 5 minutes, tells us we need a new fridge, and didn't fix it! And we had to pay them again!!!

I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. It's unfortunate I forgot the techs name because he was honestly one of the rudest service individuals I had ever contacted. I'd give them zero stars if I could.

Please be aware, they might seem nice on the phone, but be aware, especially if that tech still works there.

Bryce repaired out old Sub Zero, nice to know ow it was only a couple hundred rather than a thousand! Good price knowledgeable and quick.

The dryer in one of my rental units developed a problem. The drum would not turn properly. I called FixEm and they came promptly to check. A few days later they returned with the part and problem solved. My renter is happy and so am I! I'll call FixEm next time I have an appliance problem.

Service was quick and they fixed my dryer! Not a bad price either, especially since the fee for the initial diagnosis goes toward the repair costs.

FixEm was very responsive to our first call. Arthur was our service tech. Very impressive. His knowledge and perseverance to fix our icemaker was impressive. He was very professional and communicated when he would arrive and kept us informed of what he was doing.
I highly recommend FixEm for your appliance repairs - especially Arthur in the East Bay!

Good guys- upfront told me the machine was great, but too expensive to fix. Well organized, right on time.

This is the second time in 5 years that FixEm has helped us. This time it was or downstairs refrigerator. They did a great job. The ice maker had failed and required a replacement. The technician was able to pick p the part and returned to install it at 8PM the same day. He was done before 8:30 and it appears to be working again. Quoted us a fair price including labor and that was exactly the final cost.
The technician was very knowledgeable about appliances and I learned a lot from him. He also let me know that our Kenmore unit was hard to find parts since Whirlpool no longer makes Kenmore refrigerators.
All in all, I fully recommend FixEm for any appliance repair. They are courteous, knowledgeable and honest. They are an excellent choice when you need a job done.
