Floorcraft

Starting with Susan in the office and branching out to the guys who installed our stair runners, Floorcraft is the place to call for any flooring projects. They will send you samples, follow-up (but not in an annoying way,) and make sure you are happy with the outcome. We chose a beautiful wool carpet for our stair runner for three sets of staircases and the team installed it in a half-day! They were on time, knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. Would definitely use Floorcraft in the future.

They installed engineered wood flooring in my entire condo unit in January. It's buckling. They initially told me there was nothing that could be done and it would return to flush once warm/humid weather passed. I pushed back, they sent their installer who was somewhat perplexed but did not have a solution other than to wait until September -October at which time they might be able to pick up some of the buckling boards (they will need to be broken to pull up) and re-glue them down. No guarantee this will work. In my research and based on installer comments the floor should have been leveled first. No conversation or recommendations were made about leveling the floor. This was a $22k job-in for a penny, in for a pound. I would have paid to do it right. And now I have few to no good solutions and worse yet-they appear totally unconcerned. I cannot recommend this business.

I needed to have 4 rooms with wood floors refinished, and the rest of the house recarpeted. Sal promptly gave me a reasonable quote as well as important advice on what not to do as I prepared the house for sale. His team was professional, on time, and careful. The stairs with spindles took a lot of work and it looks great. Sal's personal touch, accountability, and communication made this very time pressured job a East for me. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Great customer service! Sal offered great suggestions for carpeting on the stairs and in a couple of closets. The carpet is gorgeous, and the installers did a great job. Highly recommended!!!

We hired Floorcraft rather than Home Depot because we wanted white glove, no hassle care. We paid them more than HD seeking a smooth installation with no problems. We were mistaken.

The job was two parts, replacing a damaged carpet with vinyl laminate and more carpeting in two phases. The workmanship was OK with a slight problem that was eventually repaired after much struggle on my part. The real issues were communication and not standing behind their work. They did not call either time to confirm their arrival. The first time, they were a little late, arrived after I called. The second time, they did not show up at the scheduled time. I called the office an hour later, no apology for having us wait for them. They showed up 2 1/2 hours late to install carpeting. Oddly, they wanted me to pay cash after the install. I had paid via card previously and insisted I do the same the second time. Smart move on my part.

A week later, the real problems started. There was a transition strip between the laminate and the carpeting and the carpeting was coming up and fraying. I called and a week or two later, Sal came by to fix it. He could not and said someone from the office would call. They did not. A week later, I called. They sent no one. I called again two weeks later, no response. Then I called the credit card company to dispute the charge. The credit card company called them and after a few phone calls, the repair was made, about 15 minutes worth of work Of course, I was not properly notified about their arrival time.

Basically, they did not want to remedy their installation mistake until I contested the charge. That is not what I call good service and the opposite of the smooth installation I had sought.

Avoid. If it all goes well, you are in luck but if you have a problem, be ready to fight. They will not stand behind their work. BTW, some people seem to like Roddy, the owner, but he was surly and dismissive towards us. Not a pleasant person once he has your money.

Sal was our main contact and provided top notch service from start to finish. They did nearly our entire house. New carpeting in the master bedroom, refinished wood floors in two small bedrooms and laid down Luxury Vinyl Tile in our downstairs den. The prices were fair, the service was outstanding. I give the the highest possible recommendation.

Roddy & Sal are so professional, beautiful selection & great prices!!! They installed carpet in my house & my Mom's and did an amazing job!! They even came back to patch an area of my Berber after my new German Shepherd pup thought it would be fun to 'dig' !! You would never know there was a patch!!
