Flores Landscaping

I had my yard landscaped several years ago with drought tolerant plants, no lawn. It looked great. I was unable to keep up with the weeding so I saw what a great job my neighbor's gardener was doing for his lawn and I asked for Arcadio's information. I promptly received a quote to get the weeds out, bark placed and monthly maintenance. Arcadio has always come through as he promised and the work has been stellar. I am a very happy camper.

Don't use them. They are not insured and do not know how to trim trees according to SF rules. I was fined by the city because they over pruned our trees. The fine was $1,800.
In 2016, they did not have insurance otherwise they would have paid me for the fine from SF DPW. They also were not following SF Pruning guidelines, otherwise SF DPW would not have fined me.

Mr Arcadio is such a nice guy! Very patient and listens to your needs. He is the guy to do your yard, Totally recommend him! Plan to hire him again in December for some major landscaping job! Hire him!

I found out about Flores Landscaping through a recommendation on Nextdoor. They did an amazing job. It was completed faster and looked better than I had imagined it would. Their prices were fair, they were on time, and went above and beyond. They added a large flat rock to the design which allows us to easily transition the yard to or stoop without having to walk all the way around. Highly recommend!!

I got 3 quotes for some landscape and irrigation work. Flores was the most expensive but I decided to go with them hoping that the quality was worth it. The crew rushed the job. Weeds growing back through their barrier job. They did my irrigation wrong and charge me to fix their own mistake. Sorry, but I would not recommend.

One of the best in the Peninsula! Mr. Flores was able to handle the jungle in our backyard and the attention to detail was top notch!

I hate doing this but this is my last resort of getting in touch with Arcadio. He's been coming to take care of my back yard in San Francisco for several years, and I've been very happy with him. Originally, he also installed an irrigation system, which has been working great too.

But for several months now, I can't get in touch with anyone at Flores Landscaping. I've called and left messages, but Arcadio has seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth. The 5 stars I would give Flores Landscaping are suddenly a painful 1 star. I haven't found a replacement, and the yard is definitely showing it, with the grass that's gone yellow and messy plants.

I'm not sure what's going on, but maybe this review will catch his attention, if he's still around.

Arcadio and his crew installed irrigation and a new lawn at our home last month and did a very good job. Yesterday, the water department's meter reader notified me they did such a good job that he couldn't find the meter to take a reading and I discovered that grass was growing over the water meter and I couldn't find it. Called Arcadio and he came out today and located the meter and removed the grass, soil and gopher screen covering it; turns out his new crewman was not aware that he should not cover up the meter so this will become a training issue for his crew.
Problem was solved promptly and all is good. I would recommend his landscaping services.

Arcadio and his son, Giovanni, are great and friendly people. Landscaping service was good and clean. No complaints on quality and communication. Also, Arcadio was able to fertilize my fruit trees.

Only one small, drawback to me, personally, is the pricing which is 'fair to high' for the amount of time spent landscaping the property. Work was front and backyard maintenance and with two people it took less than an hour with a somewhat high, but fair rate. I didn't mind it for the two times I hired them in two months, but it can be costly. I was able to locate a family friend who does the same quality job at almost half the cost.

Suggestion to you guys: If you are going to charge your rates, please spend a minimum of an hour on the property and perhaps be a little bit more detail oriented on the jobs; otherwise, adjust your rates with a small discount based on your time spent for smaller jobs such as minor landscaping.

We've been working with Flores Landscaping for a couple years and couldn't be happier. We have the typical SF home layout where the only access to the yard is through the house. Arcadio's team always takes extra care moving equipment through our narrow hall and family room without a speck of dirt or hint of a scratch. Best of all they are friendly, courteous, efficient, and skilled gardeners. Looking forward to a big project with them soon. I'll update with photos soon.

Flores Landscaping is awesome! The owner Arcadio gets to you as soon as possible, but sometimes they they are very busy so you will have to wait, but the wait is worth while! They also care for the job a lot, they take gardening to the next level, they are very hard working, and they give good prices! I have nothing else to say just that they are friendly, hard working, and caring. I totally recommend them!!
