Never ever let this company come to your house. Henry came to our house and told Warranty company he can't do it because he is short of manpower. He took 2 days to tell them. We don't have our refrigerator working for three days and this person just does not care about that. I want t give zero starts if possible. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE your time with this company.

Focus Appliance was sent by my home warranty company to fix a leak in my fridge. After an initial positive experience, they vanished off the face of the earth. They found the piece needed to fix the leak, came & installed it, then when I called back to let them know the leak was NOT fixed, the company dodged my calls for a full month. I let my home warranty company know, and Henry said he'd connect with me to schedule another inspection. That never happened.
It shouldn't be this hard to get a company to do what they were hired for. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Henry (Focus Appliance) was assigned to repair my washer by my home warranty company. The first time he came, he did not work on the washer, saying that he needed it to be moved from up and over the drip pan. He refused to do it or assist, so I had to reschedule after roping a friend to help me out. Then, I tried to tell him what my issue was with the washer (stops mid-cycle, sometimes will continue if I manually rotate the drum a bit, sometimes won't), but in between him talking over me, arguing, and trying to gaslight me into thinking the problem was something (water not filling the drum) other than what I said, I tried to take the tact of just saying "uh huh, yeah sure, maybe," since he would have to come back anyway.

A couple weeks later, I am able to move the washer out. I basically have to harass him to come back, and I show him what was going on with the washer. He replaces the some part, I move it back. The problem persists, until I unplug and plug back in the washer. Fingers crossed, but then recently it started having the same problem. Back to rotating it until I get a new washer, I guess.

Henry was sent by the Property Management Company for my apartment to assess my 10-year old fridge, which gradually turned into a cooler over the course of 2 days. I mean one WITHOUT "BLUE ICE."
Henry was PUNCTUAL, FRIENDLY but extremely efficient, had the Compressor Belt WITH HIM, & swept VERY THOROUGHLY behind my fridge before putting it back.
All told he may have been here less than 30 minutes!
I can't address his rates as I'm a renter, but he'd certainly be my first call if I was an owner!

Our home warranty assigned Focus Appliance to repair our refrigerator after it started running 10 degrees warmer on December 5. Freezer was working fine. A month later our fridge is warm and the freezer thawed out!

Long story short, Henry missed the first appointment on 12/8 and didn't call us. He showed up the next day to diagnose the problem. Between shipping delays, poor communication, and not being proactive - the repair didn't happen until 12/26.

Two days later the new fan started making noise and stopped working. Fridge warm. Freezer thawed. When we pulled food out of the freezer we found an extra screw. Never a good sign.

I've called him twice and our home warranty called him twice. No response. Given the previous reviews here I'm not sure what happened. Regardless, the series of events and a month without a refrigerator is pretty ridiculous.

Henry (Focus Appliance) seems knowledgeable. But if your insurance or home warranty co assigned him to repair your fridge watch out for what he charges to the insurer. He could exaggerate the services/materials to get himself a higher payment. It might not matter if all you pay is a trade fee but the billed amount would be used to reduce your payout from insurer if the fridge needs to be replaced later (happened to me as insurer typically does not check if a part was really changed - a loophole he exploited that came back to reduce my cash payout for replacement).

Henry fixed my oven when nobody else could figure it out. I have a Fisher Paykel oven that wouldn't ignite. The home warranty company kept sending people who looked at it and decided they didn't know how to fix this. Finally they assigned Focus Appliance. Henry came over, checked it out, ordered the part, came back and fixed it, just like that. He communicated his visits and what to expect perfectly. Thank God they finally sent someone who knows what he's doing. I would absolutely recommend Henry - it's so good to find someone who fixes it, bam, done.

Henry (the owner) has come to my house twice in the last two years to fix various appliances (dishwasher, refrigerator and oven). He is extremely pleasant, responsive, professional and efficient. He fixed everything that was covered under warranty and came in under budget on the item not covered. I couldn't be happier and would recommend Focus Appliance to anyone needing appliance repair.

Henry fixed my dishwasher and was incredibly helpful in answering my questions about my other appliances (for free). He is very knowledgeable and works quickly and efficiently. Definitely recommend!
