We happen to walk by Foo earlier this week and my son looked up the reviews. He saw the menu, saw the great reviews and said we should go here before we leave Victoria.

It's a casual dining spot without table service. You order at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready.

We asked the friendly cashier what she recommended and went with one of her recs - the caramel chicken. It was delicious - chicken was a bit sweet and a bit spicy, cooked perfectly! Not dry so may it was thigh meat? It was served over rice. So good! Get this!

The curried noodle stir fry was delicious too! Shanghai noodles with veggies, shrimp and BBQ pork. Had toasted almonds which gave it a nice crunch! Get this too!

The albacore tuna bowl was still good but likely our least favorite entree. It had tuna poke, big ribbons of cucumbers, pickled rec onions and jalapeños with rice. It needed something else - shredded carrots, edamame, corn?

Oh yeah, they were so nice when we ordered and added us if we had any good allergies. So thoughtful when they ask patrons about that!

      Highly recommend Foo!

This spot is a hidden gem! We got the stir fried vegetables, togarashi tots, tingling noodles with tofu, and red curry with tofu. We were concerned about the red curry being too spicy but it was fairly mild with a delicious coconut milk flavor coming through. The tingling noodles were very flavorful and the addition of the stir fry vegetables complemented the dish nicely. The togarashi tots are definitely worth getting. They are crispy on the outside, warm and soft in the middle, and very flavorful. The menu description doesn't begin to do them justice.

A real treasure! So many restaurants have closed, overcharged, played games with portions or the quality of ingredients. Foo delivers the same great quality and healthy portions at a fair price. The service is friendly and the vibe inside is warm and relaxed. Our favorite dishes are (1) Sweet & Sour pork belly with green beans, (2) Pineapple Fried Rice with pork, and (3) Saag Paneer.

Food: The saag paneer dumplings are something I am almost mad that I tried as now I will be craving them all the time but will not be able to travel six hours to get them. They are crisp and melty all at once and come with a delicious fry bread to sop up the sauce. The kung pao tofu was also good - tofu perfectly fried, good amount of veggies.

Service: a walk up counter that seems to do a ton of takeout. We went on a Saturday night and got our food within 15 minutes of ordering. Service was friendly and fast.

Ambiance: it's a walk-up shop with a small patio area to eat. There were a lot of people when we were there so we hovered to get a table and had people hovering when we left. Sometimes you don't have time for a sit down meal and want good food - this was that time.

The gluten free caramel chicken was amazing! The flavor was wonderful and the chicken had a perfect crispiness to it. I never would've guessed it was GF.

Wasn't a bad experience, but not great either.

Got the caramel chicken for takeout. Chicken was crispy and sauce was good, but honestly, I couldn't really perceive any caramel or chili or anything in the description. The rice grains were also long, which was fine, but I feel like these places usually have jasmine. Still good tho.

Root beer was fine, but tasted exceedingly flat. I'm American, so maybe I'm just not used to the brands here.

Parking is a nightmare, and also had to wait, like, 30 mins for food :(

This is a food stand of sorts. You walk up to a counter and order. You sit at a counter inside or hang out on the patio. No frills. Just a local hangout that was hopping.

Unlike other commenters, we found the person at the counter extremely helpful. She talked about the menu and told us how we could modify some things to our liking. Order anything with any protein. Nice.

We got the paneer (really good), the sweet and sour with tofu (spicy but good), "beef" and broccoli (subbed shrimp, and also spicy) and pad Thai with tofu (we found it to be very spicy).

All the dishes were flavorful...but because the food was a little out of comfort zone for spice, I'm giving it 4 stars.

But I will tell you that even though it was spicy, we finished it all!

Honestly, I only got the Fry Bread. It was sooo good. The menu looked great and the waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu. Cant wait to try something else!

For dinner, we opted to eat at Foo Asian Street Food, and it was fantastic! Great ambiance and atmosphere. You can see the chefs cooking up a storm. We ordered the Saag Paneer, which comes with fry bread. The Steamed rice and a medley of vegetables make up the Tofu Kung Pao dish. Both meals were flavorful, excellent, and well-prepared! They have a terrific cuisine. I adore their concept! The host provided excellent and welcoming service as well. I'm grateful. Highly recommend this hidden gem! We'll be back.

Looking in ~ attractive divey joint for a late nite bite. Inside seating is a window high top long table meant for single diners, not good for groups.

Fusion Foo ~ some proper flavor though it is more on the fusion side. The to-go box was 80% rice. Rip. Potstickers were over fried almost cookie like.

Service ~ rushed tone over the phone, not smiley in person.
