Foothill 100% Hand Car Wash

I think true, 100% hand car washes are pretty rare so I'm glad that I live so close to this one. It's attached to a gas station and, I believe, a smog check. When you pull into the area, you'll want to bring your car to the right of the building (you will likely see other cars already queued up). Wait in your car until you're approached by one of the attendants (keep an eye on them, too, because they may motion you to move your car forward, to the right/left lane, etc.). When it's your turn, they'll ask which wash you want (there's a slightly faded board with three options). I opted for the middle selection - Deluxe. The attendant wrote the corresponding price on a piece of paper - $39.99 - and I walked inside the convenience store to pay.

There are some chairs scattered around the periphery of the building, but not a ton of shade if the sun is not hitting the building at the right angle; bring a hat and sunglasses if you'd like. If it's raining, I'm not sure if they put out umbrellas, so be prepared for that, too.

With maybe five cars ahead of me in line, I think it took a little over an hour coming close to lunchtime on a weekday.

There was a couple ahead of me in line and, because some of the waiting chairs are close by the area where cars are washed, dried, and vacuumed, I saw them ask the staff to fully dry the front of their car. The woman then asked if they had any scents and they responded that they have vanilla. I personally don't usually go for scents and don't mind that they don't have an array like other car wash places.

Overall, I was really happy with their work and look forward to taking my car back in the future.

Great service! My car looks great! The wait wasn't too bad. They work really hard to clean your car, & they're still friendly even though it's 90° outside. I'll be back!

I am so grateful I finally found a 100% hand wash car wash! They do exist! They did an amazing job. My car is shiny and clean inside and out. Y también hablan español. I'm definitely coming back.

These guys are super efficient, do exactly what they're suppose to. And great value for the money. I always bring my car here and leave fairly satisfied. $20 for outside only car wash.

I went there today for a hand car wash. I thought they can able to clean my car well, especially inside that it's not that dirty but there are certain ways I want my car to be clean. I was disappointed to see my car still dirty.
I'm too introverted to confront people so I just go back home with disappointment on my face because it took me 20mins to get there.

Not coming back there for sure.

Wow! This place does a great job.

Came here today (7/26/22) to get my wife's car washed. We had been in Tahoe for a week with our 3 kids and it was absolutely destroyed. The inside in particular was just covered with sand and other grime.

I had never been here before, but it's right down the street from my house. It's all by hand which is rare. A crew of 3 were working today.

As I pulled up the gentleman opened the door and literally was like "Wow it's really dirty" I almost laughed. I was like that's why I'm here. I selected the Superwash. It's basically the middle package, but includes the inside and outside. He said it would be an extra 10 bucks because of the excessive filth and that it's an SUV . I gladly said fine as I just wanted it clean.

It took about 30 minutes , but when he drove it out I was flabbergasted. It looked so clean. All the sand was gone from the inside. Outside looking shiny. Again having three kids riding in this car on a regular basis I never see this car looking anything close to this good.

Final Thoughts: I will be a regular customer of this place from now on and bring our other vehicles. Great Job! I highly recommend this place to all. Don't forget to tip when your car is done as they're working hard out here and doing great work.

Took my Toyota 4Runner here after my return from Black Rock City. They did an okay job - I think if my car hadn't been to BM and just needed a regular detailed hand wash, I wouldn't have caught all these things where I felt they were either missed on purpose or just out of pure tiredness - it was a hot day, but for me being the only car there at the time, I would have expected it to also take longer to wash and detail- it ended up being ready for me much faster than I was anticipating.

I'm super detail-oriented so when my car was ready for me, I found a few areas that I decided to fix myself with a rag I had in my car. The guy saw me and came by to say he can help - he did, but afterwards I still checked everything and cleaned up some areas. The workers were very nice, only a man and woman were there at the time I visited.

I have been to better hand car washes and partial hand car washes in Souther California that were my go-to spots for fair prices in return for the highly detailed work they did. I am still in search for places up in the Bay Area.

There is a small seating area with umbrella for shade if you want to sit there and wait for your car - there were only 2 chairs though. I wandered to the strip of businesses that were on the other side of the gas station. There's a convenience store and Mexican restaurant I ordered from during my wait. There was also a deal for $5 off a car wash - you just need to go inside the shop to redeem and the guy inside gave me a free air freshener.

Just a reccomendation for improvment. The towls used should be seperated for outside drying- Interior dash and trim and windows. The towls shoul be seperated.

Interior floor mats where wet and dirty. The interior was left with spot and poorly wiped.
