I ordered Uber eats from here. Two wheel croissants- Black Forest and Nutella. Both were excellent. We had terrible stale doughy ones at Little Cafe on Robson so I was skeptical about this one, but this was actually fresh, light and fluffy on the inside, full of flavour and filings. Well worth the price.

I ordered this Rose de Macaron cake from Foret Noire for a family member's birthday. They call it Rose de Macaron at Foret Noire but at most other places where I've seen this dessert it's called Ispahan. The Ispahan is a traditional french dessert that combines the flavors of rose, raspberry and lychee.
Isn't this cake gorgeous? It was a real treat to eat too! I loved the combination of flavors in this Rose de Macaron. The big chunks of canned lychee were my favourite part of the cake. Huge fan of lychee! In fact, I would have loved to have seen just a few more lychees in it. It was still a good amount, but I just love the fruit so much. Can't get enough of it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Shawn H.Central Vancouver, Vancouver, Canada26247Aug 11, 2024
I've had 2 very poor customer services experiences in a row here. First time I walked in the door with my friend and employees waved us back out the door saying they were closed. If you're closed then lock the door. If customers walk in the door you should never rudely tell them to leave. Second time I ordered a croissant and asked for a coffee or latte. The young woman employee said she could not make me any coffee and also said I could not stay to eat the croissant because they were closing in 5 mins, when in fact their hours online said they were still open for another 45 mins. I will not be giving them a 3rd chance for poor service.

I picked up 3 items the other day:
Chocolate croissant, almond croissant, and a round pistachio croissant thing (I honestly cannot be bothered to remember whatever is the latest stupid trendy name for basically a tightly wound up circular croissant covered in some goo).
They were all good. Very large, fluffy inside, crackly crispy outside. Was it mind-blowing? No. But it was good.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2155276Sep 14, 2022
When you see the sign out front saying that they have the best croissants in town, they ain't lying !!!
I can't believe I've never been to this little cafe before.
The dulce de Leche was crisp and so fresh and the caramel sauce wasn't over powering. You can tell they made this from scratch.
The Nutella cruffin, was a hybrid of a muffin croissant and it just melted in our mouths !!!
The owner was all smiles and so friendly.
You can tell everything was made with love and I will surely be back soon to try everything else!!

I got "la boite" (the box) and a strawberry croissant. I was very disappointed how dry both pastries were. The filling inside the box had very little flavour and was too heavy for my taste; the ratio between filling and dough was off, in my opinion.
The strawberry jam filling of the croissant, on the other hand, was too sweet and I found myself giving the other half to my brother. $6.50 for each item is very steep, and I expected a better product for this price point. Surprisingly enough, I prefer Costco croissants to this.
Also - the lid of the box has a weird liability blurb, which I found pretty funny (and odd).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kimberly P.Vancouver, Canada3339890Feb 1, 2024
The pastries here by all accounts are amazing. As far as gf options go, I have ordered the Rose de Macaron twice now for birthdays and both times, it was absolutely delicious! The cafe is small and cute, but not super warm and welcoming. It loses stars because of the service. The man I've now dealt with twice now is NOT friendly. Sometimes he is just indifferent, but other times he's outright grouchy. I'd be tempted to go in more often if I knew I didn't have to interact with him.

One of the best cake & dessert places I've been too. Top quality & flavours and beautiful presentation. Clean and chic interior, with very unique store decor.
Mille-Feuille (10/10): caramelized puff pastry was super buttery and flaky. The cream inside wasn't too sweet, and had a strong vanilla flavour (I can also see the black speckles of real vanilla beans in the cream).
Salted Caramel Chocolate Tart (9/10): loved the thick tart crust (had a bit of a charred/dark chocolate taste). I prefer the cream from the Mill-Feuille, but overall, still a great tart with a sweet & salty balance. Caramelized hazelnuts on top.
Mango Panna Cotta (9/10): strong mango flavour (not artificial tasting). I wasn't really used to the texture of the vanilla rice pudding underneath, but the mango portion was great.
Pricing: about $10+ per cake (quite reasonable considering it's a good portion, and high quality).Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Aug 25, 2021
This cafe is a lovely French pastry . The shop is located just a couple of blocks away from the Broadway city hall train station. The shop can't be missed with its pink-themed interior. They serve coffee, but the pastries and cakes are the stars of the shop. I tried four different cakes.
If you love chocolate, try the broadway. It's very creamy and chocolatey. The Versace is a vanilla/milk-based cake. The mousse is so good, but I was drawn to this cake because of the design. It's so pretty and delicious at the same time. The panna cotta is also good; I love the vanilla pudding at the bottom of the cup. My favourite would have to be the tiramisu. It was very delicious. The coffee/espresso flavour was very subtle, not overpowering, and the chocolate used to wrap the cake was the icing on top.
This coffee shop is highly recommended for its delightful patisserie and cakes with a selection of delicious treats to choose from and beautifully displayed.
They do as well have uniquely designed chocolate gifts which are a fantastic present to chocolate lovers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aug 21, 2021
CUTE DESSERT PLACE. This place has always been a cute dessert place and they have a wide range of cakes, chocolates, and baked goodies even coffees! I really enjoy their selection of goodies and we definitely didn't choose one that disappointed! Highly recommend the following!
*
Lemon meringue tart ($10.79) ~ I really enjoyed this! It's on the zesty side for sure! The lemon despite being zesty and tart still had a nice prominent sweet taste to it.
*
Exotic flower ($10.79) ~ mango lovers this has mango infused into it! The bottom layer is nutty so there is a layer of hazelnut which cuts the rich mango sweetness. The white chocolate on top complimented the dessert and added a nicely needed sweetness to the mango mousse on top.
*
Exotic tart ($10.79) ~ vanilla pastry cream and a load of fresh fruits! The glaze on top of the fruits was perfect and made every fruit sweet and tasty with the vanilla pastry cream and tart! I really enjoyed this!
*
9/10 ~ I enjoyed their desserts! It was all delicious and unique and the presentation is phenomenal. I do wish that the exotic tart had a more light tart as it was very dense but overall super delicious. I'd be back to try more of the goodies!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0
