I used to never like poutine but after trying Fritz, I started to love it and now whenever I'm in Vancouver I need to get Fritz!

Their prices are reasonable for the big portions and I appreciate that they are open so late as well. Despite being pretty busy, the service is pretty quick. The fries are nice and crispy, and the cheese curds melt in your mouth. They also have a lot of unique sauce flavors you can get on the side. It's best to eat fresh so I wish there was better seating (there are just a few benches) but I guess it's more of a to go place anyway.

My husband and I absolutely love poutine and went out of our way to eat here on a trip to Vancouver. Unfortunately Vancouver doesn't have many poutine establishments.

The fry house is very small and is open late, they probably are most popular late at night! That said, it's best to plan to take this to go and eat it in a nearby park as there isn't much seating inside.

The poutine was assembled to order and came out fast. We both thought it was pretty good but weren't blown away.

O Fritz, how do I love thee. An absolutely wonderful poutine place with delicious dipping options. If you like lighter gravy with melty cheese curds you've come to the right place. I've tried a few dipping sauces but always end up loving the Garlic Lovers.

Parking is terrible because it's right at the heart of the city. Also not great for big groups, seating is limited. Service was quick!

Large portion sizes, fries made to order, and awesome gravy. Pleasant surprise for someone having poutine for the first time.

      1 check-in

Dropped in on a Wednesday at around 1 PM for a quick snack. We had the medium poutine with garlic dip to go, but we asked for the gravy on the side, which was the best move. I've realized that I don't really like poutine because the gravy makes the fries all soggy. But when I have the gravy on the side as a dipping sauce, it is amazing. The fries stayed crispy, even though it was for takeout. The cheese curds were slightly melted, but that's the price you pay for not eating it fresh. 10/10 would do this again.

This staple is a must try while in Vancouver! Fast and cheap savory snack/meal. You may want to split it with someone because even a small portion is very filling. You have lots of options/add ons to choose from. The place is super tiny so this is definitely more of a to go place. However, they do have several tiny benches and tables if you prefer eating inside.

      I'll keep this one short-
3AM in downtown Vancouver after a long night- the line may be long but it was worth it. We got poutine and poutine with smoked meat. The smoked meat was salty in the best way. I've never had this before 10pm, but I'm
Sure it tastes just as good in the day time. The fries were nice and hot.

Ok, first I'm from the US and never had poutine. In New Mexico we have green chile fries, but I'm a fan of poutine!
This place is a "home or something n the wall joints and pretty. I my book, that means it's usually good, and it is.
Had the MTL smoked meats, and got a bucket for
Leftovers. It was quite tasty, the fries were crispy and well seasoned, gravy hearty, and the meats well smoked and seasoned.
I know I'm no expert, but this is tasty poutine, and reasonably priced.
      Thanks the yummy meal!

Brought my daughter here for an afternoon snack, poutine with pulled pork.
YUMMY! The perfect snack for a cool wintery day. The fries were crispy and chewy.
They don't just top the poutine with the pulled pork, they layer it so you get an even distribution. PERFECTION!

      Cheers! Pulled pork poutine

When I looked up where to get poutine in Vancouver, Fritz was at the top of that list. So of course, I had to go try. But I didn't realize how small the place would be. We almost missed it as we were walking by. It's a small place with a couple benches inside.

I got the original poutine - fries, cheese curds and gravy. My friend got the medium Fritz with an order of their garlic dip and chipotle mayo. We got our orders very quickly and they checked in on us after to got everything to make sure everything was good. The fries were perfectly fried and kept their texture in the poutine. The gravy had good taste and wasn't too salty. The cheese curds had a nice chew and pull to them. It was a great combo. The garlic dip and chipotle mayo were great. I mean who doesn't like a garlic dip with fries.
