Fuel Stop

I love this place! Great vibe and decor and educated clientele who WANT GAS. They also sell pipes for real drugs for when you're sick of huffing or just need to lay off. The air pump is from the 90's and takes quarters so that sucks but also I like gum.

Here in summer 2022 gas is at an ridiculously high price--for future me or historians reading this 100 years hence, it's literally never been this high in real dollars in my life! (Unsure about how it would fare as a percentage of income or anything nerdy like that.) seeing gas as high as $5.99 is not an uncommon sight at the moment. I was in Oak Park over the weekend and it seemed like a good idea to check since the suburbs are usually cheaper, and this was no exception. $5.22 per gallon may be the cheapest I've seen it in weeks.

There may be a reason for that. I don't know about the quality of the gas, and perhaps I should have stopped at the Shell across the street that was 5¢ per gallon cheaper. But it's powered my car.

This station is small, six pumps. It wasn't terribly busy when I was here. There's a small convenience store, and they have a vacuum and air pump (positive about the first, pretty sure about the second).

Receipt never prints at the pimp, employee/owner doesn't care.just shrugs and says nothing!!

Self-serve pumps out of order. Went in to pay, but had to go to 2 different pumps before they got one working. Won't go here when it's cold.

Cheapest gas on this corner/ block compare to the other gas stations!!! For regular gas it's $2.19 from May 2016 and the price will change if you come later in the month or years later! It won't stay the same! The people who work here are very welcoming and helpful and kind. It have all the essentials you need for your home or kids! They have all new gas pumps! It is open almost 24/7 but this place is highly recommended for people who forget to get milk or razors or shaving cream or some chips for sports events!
