Our backyard was filled with overgrown weeds, almost reaching over the fence, posing a fire hazard, so we needed a quick turnaround.

After finding Taurino, we decided to hire his services. He and his team were extremely professional and diligent in removing the weeds. They hand-pulled the weeds, raked and shoveled the excess roots, and left the area spotlessly clean.

Why would they take the time to come out if they were too busy to follow up?

Taurino was able to get the same pavers that the former owner had used. He did a great job integrating the new to the old. Was a pleasure to work with. Great communication. Also completed drip system and installed rocks in back yard. Would highly recommend him and his crew.

Based on the project we just had done we highly recommend G&M. We couldn't be happier with our front yard makeover. Taurino and his crew were super professional and easy to work with every step of the way- from the quote process to the final beautiful results. We basically had a total clearing of our small front yard, adding a French drain, small retaining wall border, a paver walkway and short dividing fence on our property line, plus irrigation repair and a xeriscape type replant with drought resistant plants and pebble covering. I am posting a few before and after photos to show off the wonderful result.
We initially reached out to over a half dozen landscaping companies and only about half got back to us. Of all the quotes we received the G&M quote was the clearest and most detailed. Taurino incorporated all of the aspects of what we discussed on his first visit out, breaking the project down by the different parts so it was easier to evaluate the cost and determine where we might be able to scale back on our grand vision so we could stay within our budget. The quote was also very detailed, specifically describing the type of materials that would be used, which gave us confidence about the quality of work they would be doing.
Taurino and his crew were really great to work with. The work started very soon after we accepted their bid. They arrived on time each morning, got a lot done each day, and left the site tidy each evening. Taurino was onsite with his small and talented crew most of the time throughout the project. We were very impressed with how professional, hardworking, and friendly everyone was. The same guys were onsite each day plus a few specialty tradesmen came for parts of the project like the bricklaying- everyone was very good at what they did. We did our our own plant selection and shopping, and the G&M crew did the planting per our design requests. There were no 'surprises' or add-ons once the work began, apart from one small design change we requested midway through.
All in all, we couldn't be happier with the job they did and the beautiful results. We have received so many compliments on our yard and several neighbors who saw the project unfold have asked for contact info of G&M after seeing how well it went. We plan to have G&M back in the future for additional walkway replacement and perhaps a backyard redesign.

I highly, highly recommend G&M Landscaping & Construction!! I reached out to them and actually received a quick response, quote and a start date for multiple jobs which included: Fire mitigation in compliance with the Vegetation Management Matching Grant, installation of a large concrete area and then turned our roadside ditch in the front of our home to a wonderful parking area. G&M worked with the county to adhere to the regulations of the permit and it all went smoothly. I can't say enough good things about this company and the extremely hard workers they employ.

We had a fantastic experience with Taurino and the G&M team. We completely overhauled our San Francisco backyard to be much more functional and kid friendly. The team removed an old firepit, old pavers, deck, dying bamboo and a sorry looking patch of grass. They elevated the yard and installed a beautiful new stone patio, a big new area of turf for the kids to run around, beautiful stair lights, cafe lights and uplighting, river rock and new plants. They also installed a new sprinkler system. The space is modern, functional and exactly what we envisioned. The team is very communicative and completed the work quickly but with a lot of care and precision. We would highly recommend G&M!

Had an awesome experience working with Taurino and team. They installed a retaining wall, turf, rocks and low maintenance plants in my front yard. Great experience from a local company.

We just completed a lawn and some planting removal and irrigation project with Taurino and his team. They did an extremely professional job in a timely manner and were reliable. The pricing is competitive and they kept the worksite clean at the end of the day. They also made the time to complete some extra work we requested at the last minute.

My review is based solely on the bidding process as we ultimately decided to go with another company.

They responded immediately to our inquiry, set an appointment, showed up on time and provided a competitive estimate in a timely manner.

Unfortunately, their estiamte came in a few days after we made our final decision, we wanted to move fast! However, it was a competitve, fair bid and we greatly appreciate the follow through and follow up.

We would not hesitate to use them in the future and would certainly reccomend to friends and family.
