So random. So fun. We went with a party of six ranging from 13yrs old to 50yr olds. We had to split our party since each team is made up to 4 people. (2 of us were paired with two strangers who quickly became friends!) We laughed SO MUCH and the games are really challenging and dumb....but dumb fun. My kids were a bit better in some challenges and the old people in our party (me included) did better at other challenges. It's best to go in with a spirit of trash talking and to NOT BE SHY!! It's more fun if you embrace the ridiculousness of it all. It took under an hour and was just a great way to enjoy an indoor activity in the city with strangers of all ages. (Oh- but if you get migraines from strobing lights...this is NOT for you!!)

Listen I'm the kind of reviewer that reads the negative reviews before I leave mines so I can debunk bs..
First of all the price on this is AMAZING. If 40$ is "expensive" to you idk why you're even leaving your house to go outside.
Secondly the advertising is perfect. If you have a basic reading skills and comprehension of an adult human being you will understand exactly what this expedience will be like.
Thirdly it is definitely an active experience and takes some figuring out. It's a super fun time and even MORE fun if you have kids I'm sure of it, they would LOVE this. If you're not a gamer you won't enjoy this.
Fourth the staff they have are very nice and pleasant and will give you all of the information needed to have a good time.
Lastly idk why ppl set their own expectations in their brains at a certain place and then get upset when things don't meet their imaginations interpretation of a multiverse possibility when you can be a nice normal human being who thinks of what it can possibly be but doesn't get dead set there. One way leads you to misery in life and the other sets you on a path of happiness in life. Don't set unrealistic expectations.
Have a great time and be dressed for activity the way they tell you on their site. We all have the same information, some of us just do more with it.Helpful 2Thanks 4Love this 3Oh no 0 - Feb 22, 2024
Ok so this place was on my bucket list for some time and I finally got to go and it was soooo much fun. Its not at all what I expected, I was expecting like a trivia/ Jeopardy type of game and it was NOT that.
Very engaging and hilarious and definitely fun for any age as long as you have a thumb that could work fast. DO NOT forget your glasses for this one, because some of the games had me thinking that even I needed glasses.
It could be fun in a big group but honestly even just the two of us joining up with another team of two was very enjoyable.
Only downfall was the prize hahaha, I mean we didn't win anyway but sucks for themHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Feb 11, 2024
The "Game of 1000 Boxes" in New York presents an intriguing concept, aiming to blend the thrill of chance with the excitement of team-based puzzle-solving. However, after experiencing the game firsthand, I see that much misleading marketing is at play.
While the games offer moments of enjoyment, they don't meet expectations, especially considering the substantial admission fee. The cost does not seem justified for an experience that lasts merely an hour (precisely 60 minutes). Although the game prides itself on variety, switching up the challenges to keep things fresh, some games lean too heavily on luck or chance, detracting from the skill and strategy one might expect from such an adventure. Only expect a little of skills like on Jeopardy. It's more like luck on slot machines.
Moreover, a notable oversight is a need for more information regarding game capacity fullness. Our visit was met with only two other teams in the fray, significantly diminishing the competitive atmosphere and overall enjoyment. A more vibrant, crowded field of competitors could have enhanced the experience (like how they market it online), making the games feel more dynamic and exciting. I understand it's not necessarily their fault, but knowing how many people to expect would be helpful. We came in at 7 pm on a Saturday, so I can't imagine how slow it would be on weekdays.
If you're coming here for a corporate event, it's surely better than your other options in the city. If you're looking for a fun, strategy-focused game with friends or dates, no. Not here.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

Thanks for your review John, we value your feedback and are sorry to hear your experience didn't meet your expectations. We strive to fill the room to maximize the energy in every show, but sometimes shows don't sell out, or groups purchase tickets and then don't show. We understand that it may have seemed like the games were luck-based, but each game in the show is a game of skill and strategy, as evidenced by our repeat gamers who come back and win on return visits. We hope you'll try us out again, and if you do, we will be sure to direct you to a nearly sold-out session to maximize your experience. Thanks again for playing and for your detailed feedback.

This is a fun live game show if you go with a group of 4 people.
We went here with a group of 3 and had no chance of winning since everyone had a bigger group :(
The host knows how to navigate the room and game very well.
Each level is different and challenging in a fun way.
The only thing I was not feeling was the rude girl at the front who checked us in. She had an attitude & looked like she did not want to be there.
Other than that, definitely a good experience for co-workers and/or friends to put their skills to the test and to challenge other teams to the winning point.
The group that wins gets a "Surprise box" full of the unknown.
Super Fun!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Allison S.East Boston, Boston, MA053Mar 27, 2024

SO FUN!!! Awesome event for coworkers, date, double date, friends, family, etc. Probably less than an hour total but the games are pretty fun. Testing reflexes, random buzzer skills, coordination with your team, etc. Such a unique activity and a really fun time for everyone.

My cousins and I played on a Friday night. Even though we were late, they still let us in.
The games were all random, easy to understand but tough to win at. I loved the competitive spirit in the room and the enthusiasm from the host.
All games take place on a HUGE screen so everyone can see.
- They had an area to store coats.
- Had a greeter outside to direct people.
I really want to go back again.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Kitty L.Saint Louis, MO01Feb 22, 2024
This experience is unlike anything you've ever done before, guaranteed! There's a little bit of something for everyone and your team will have a blast trying to figure out how to work together to win each round. It's fun and exciting and I was hyped up all night after playing it, which made for a fantastic evening with friends!
I really wish we can get this game in my hometown someday! I would definitely take everyone I know to play.
Just go. You'll love it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 15, 2022
Highly recommend this place for an unexpected adventure! We had so much fun and laughter! The game was 1 hour long and you are in a team of 4. They have funny team names! We were team horns! So many different unique games- nothing you would expect. Time flew by so fast because we had a blast. Our team won and they gave us a pineapple as a reward! Ha!
Emcee was super fun, funny & cool! The other staff in the front desk was also very friendly and nice!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
