Great yakitori - crispy chicken skin, chicken knee, and bacon scallop was super yummy.

The sashimi was pretty good too, although grandma wanted more basic fish like salmon

Came here and had their special holiday multi course menu that serves 4-6. We had a party of 4 adults plus two small children and it was enough. The highlights were the Hamachi carpaccio and the lobster sashimi. They take the lobster and make an udon soup with it after. The lobster is super fresh, as in still moving, when they bring the sashimi out.

We also had a bottle of sake, the house one. It was quite smooth and certain staff are more knowledgeable about the sake menu than others so they can make recommendations. The highlight is that they offer you your choice of sake cups from a box to use and they also bring a warmer to the table. Presentation is outstanding.

I would say the service here is what really makes this place stand out from the other Japanese restaurants. Everyone was super nice and let us know what was going on. They were on top of clearing dishes, refilling water or tea, and the sake.

The restaurant is small and a bit confusing for parking. The interior is cozy with a few of the more traditional style tables with cushions and a grafittis style mural on one wall.

I was in town for the weekend and looked for good sushi take out near my hotel. This place had great reviews and it did not disappoint. The staff was so friendly (I stepped in the middle of everyone watching the game) and the atmosphere was great. I had my food to go but the staff even offered me a seat to sit down and have tea while I waited. I enjoyed my sushi and yakitori back at my hotel. Next time I'm in town, I'm definitely dining in for sure. Thanks for a great experience.

Service was great and everyone was friendly. Definitely take their recommendations for food if you are not sure what's good. They recommended the Engawa dish and it was the best dish.

Our group just kept ordering because the food was so good. Portions are very generous for the price, and the presentation is beautiful! Will be coming back next time I'm in Vancouver.

- Wasn't totally sure when we parked what we were in for; but the ambiance inside is great, inviting and modern.
- Food; fantastic and diverse. Lots of options. We had one vegetarian with us and the three rolls he got (chefs choice) were fantastic. Our sushi rolls and sashimi were great. Sashimi was fresh, rolls were more fish than fillers. Great.


A bit more context:

We were driving through town and found these guys randomly on yelp. The parking lot we initially parked in didn't scream "great restraint" but turns out we were in the wrong one, we moved and as soon as we walked in we knew we were good.

The service was solid, we ordered chefs choice sashimi and 6 rolls and unagi don! It was all so good. Highly recommend if you are craving good sushi but the diversity of the menu (plenty of food from the grill) would take care of most!

Attentive and friendly service! Inviting ambience! Grilled dishes all done to perfection. We had the lamb rack, beef tongue, black cod, and Saba. Also had nabeyaki udon , chirashi bowl, and mango California roll. Everything delicious. Also Easy parking in the strip mall.
