Gonzalo stopped by to give us an estimate for a dedicated circuit for a new oven.
He gave us a more than reasonable quote and said he could do it this afternoon.
After a moment of discussion, we accepted.
He completed the work neatly, competently and in a short period of time and cleaned up after.
We are cooking in our new oven as I write this review.

We had requested GAP to install a bathroom exhaust fan back in 2020. Rough install with excessive space cut in the ceiling relative to the fixture in the ceiling, left rough wall patching for the switch and wiring. Not a big deal. Over the years I wondered why the fan we installed was so freaking loud and obnoxious. It's supposedly whisper quiet but I figured I just had sensitive ears, which I do. I took it apart as we are planning a bathroom remodel and figured out why. He had installed the fixture and didn't even try to vent it, it's completely obstructed. I may as well should have left it alone since this exhaust was just circulating humid air anyways and I could have spared myself from the noise. He could have told me that he only installs and a contractor would need to figure out the rest but that was not what was agreed upon. I'm upset over a half assed job. we

He was available immediately shortly after I had requested assistance with a lighting projects and was flexible to add in an installation of a ceiling fan. His quote was very reasonable and was finished later the same day. I'd gladly refer Gonzalo to friends and neighbors.

Had some questions about upgrading an outlet to switch to an induction cooktop and Gonzalo came out the next day and answered all sorts of questions we had. Highly recommend calling GAP if you have any sorts of electrical needs!

Fantastic service! GAP Electric answered our call and arrived right on time, was very polite and professional, quickly diagnosed issues and provided cost-savings alternative options for us to choose. Very happy with the outcomes of adding an outlet, rerouting connections, adding control and flexibility to lights to fixing our electric ignition on the outdoor kitchen island grille! We were considering buying a new grill but GAP Electric solved the issue at a fraction of what we would have had to spend - GAP Electric gets our highest ratings for service, professionalism, knowledge of electrical home flow and provides options that are all relevant and effective! Call them for quotes to fixes! We will definitely call GAP Electric for any and all electrical needs again (and again :-)

Gonzalo was great - He came very quickly, figured out why some of our outlets weren't working, and provided some advice and guidance on our wiring overall as it's quite dated. He was friendly, polite, and really easy to work with. We had another issue with our outlets the next day and he came right back out to check - it may or may not have been the same issue, but he again quickly figured out what was going on and resolved it. I recently hired GAP Electric to install Level 2 Wall Charger. I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with their expertise and professionalism in the field of EV charger installations. Gonzalo the owner was right on time and completed the install in few hours as promised and what a clean job. Gap Electric estimate included everything labor to parts etc. Safety was my top priority, considering the installation of a new high-voltage device, and I was willing to pay a reasonable price for quality work done by them.

Updated review to 1 from 3 stars. Directly in response to Business Owners response.
1. " I fixed your problem and test before leaving, otherwise you wouldn't pay."
You fixed my garbage disposal by switching out the connection to the one used by using a connection for my recessed light, which you told me was broken due to the bulb. We had contractors replaced the bulb and the fixture and were informed that its a wiring issue.
2. "I came back after a time because you said that your light fail, and you were not there, sorry, but the nature of my job is service, and I go where people need me"
We told you that the light was still not working, and you showed up randomly without an appointment. we never agreed to a time or a date. If service is your job, then make an appointment, you dont randomly show up to peoples homes and park in their driveways
3. "but I can not stop assisting other clients or changing schedules of it is not an emergency. "
Nobody told you to stop, and we werent asking you to come right away. We requested an appointment, which you never gave us, you just randomly showed up.
4. "I was there, you were not."
Because you randomly showed up. without an appointment. people go to work.
5. By the way, no need to break into your house or your neighbors, actually I am your neighbor, have a Family and live from this. My clients recognize me and know about my commitment.
This is not about you, and nobody accused you of breaking in. Original post said "WE" had break-ins and dont want random people coming without an appointment. This has "NOTHING" to do with you. The fact that you feel because you are not a burglar, you can do whatever you want is part of your problem.

The problem is "MOST" Definitely a direct result of you switching out the wiring from our recessed light which was working, to fix the Garbage disposal on the same switch. now the garbage disposal does work, and the recessed light does not, which "YOU" told us is due to a broken bulb. Which we changed out, and changed the entire fixture, and had the wires tested, and were told is faulty wiring issue. You are most definitely the problem. The fact that I gave 3 stars, and you felt you needed to attack us to avoid blame, is most definitely a red flag here

TLDR - would not use GAP again
Mixed bag here. We used GAP a few years ago when we moved to the east bay. Our garbage disposal stopped working, GAP came:
1. would not take off shoes or wear booties as ("its against union rules"). okay not a big deal.
2. Could not fix the garbage disposal, so changed out the wiring to our recessed lights. garbage disposal starts working, but recessed light does not work - GAP tells us to change the bulb should be good. (its not the light bulb or fixture.. its the wiring we will learn later)
3. We ask gap to come back because the light has been changed but still doesnt work. GAP randomly shows up without an appointment, and parks in our driveway when were not home. - this is an issue not because we suspect GAP. but someone had broken into our car in the driveway before, and may have also gotten into our garage. Also our neighbor had a similar break in. We just dont want random people showing up when were no around. We have security cameras with motion detectors thats how we knew he was on site in our driveway
4. Handyman tries to place the light again, buys brand new fixture. doesnt work, tests the wiring, were getting power. but thinks the ground is messed up.
Overall. 3 stars, he did fix the garbage disposal. but by switching out the cabling for the recessed light. which I now have to pay someone else to fix.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Sorry for any inconvenience you experience with my service. I believe that I was there when you just moved in. I fixed your problem and test before leaving, otherwise you wouldn’t pay. I came back after a time because you said that your light fail, and you were not there, sorry, but the nature of my job is service, and I go where people need me, but I can not stop assisting other clients or changing schedules of it is not an emergency. Gonzalo answered our calls on a Friday evening for a partial power outage at our house that our breakers wouldn't reset. He came over quickly and sourced the problem and had replacement parts on hand. He was knowledgeable and kind and I highly recommend him for your electrical needs.

Gonzalo is simply the best and I'm glad I found him. It's rare to find someone so trustworthy who's willing to take his time to answer all your questions. He was super helpful in determining our load calculations (for a panel upgrade) and giving me all the information I needed to make an informed decision. He was on time, patient and professional. You could tell that he really loves his job and enjoys helping others. Highly recommend. He'll be the first person I contact for any future electrical needs.
