Garden Mamas

Love these people. We contracted with them to do the landscaping at two of our properties and they are joy to work with.

We needed a couple of repairs with our irrigation system and a new hammock post. Garden Mamas easily took care of it in a half day. Communication was good, they were knowledgeable of the task, and the job was very reasonably priced. If you are in need of gardening work, look no further than Garden Mamas!

Sent the Garden Mamas an email inquiring about getting work done on my front and backyard. Taleen responded quickly and was able to schedule Tamara to come out two days later. We did a thorough walk thru and discussed the current and long term plans. Taleen said she would put together a quote for what I want done along with a quote for weekly maintenance. That was over two weeks ago and I haven't heard from anyone since. I would have really like to support a local woman owned business, but unfortunately they dropped the ball.

Tamara & Garden Mama's completely transformed my backyard. I would describe them as punctual, kind, creative, and super hard working. They came with great suggestion for plants based on where the sunlight hits my yard. & my grass is alive and healthy a year later! Tamara listened to my desires to have a path in my backyard and she created a beautiful stone & DG path for the walkway. FYI: Photo is before the grass and plants grew in.

Such wonderful work! I had them out to fix the low quality job another landscape company did. Within days of the original job, clover was wildly growing around and through the weed barrier. Tamara came out and immediately understood the problem. They ended up doing a layer of cardboard and a thicker weed barrier cloth. 3 months later, only a handful of weeds have poked through! Brian, who did the hands on work, is fantastic. Very conscientious, answers every question, and goes out of his way to do extra things to make your yard look its best. They have finished planting, and it's just beautiful The price was very fair, and the quality is outstanding.

We moved into a new house, and noticed last year that the drip watering system was spotty - some places got soaked and others stayed bone dry. Since it was also time to refresh the mulch, Garden Mamas cleaned out the old mulch, fixed all of the drip systems, added a new "main hose" to an area that previously didn't have one, put compost around the plants, trimmed the plants that needed it, then put down fresh mulch. They also did a fair amount of general "tidying up" around the yard. Everything looks great, and I'm looking forward to a better watering experience.

What particularly impressed me was the care they took, and the quality, clarity, and timeliness of communication. I had some little baby starter plants in an unusual area, which most folks might mistake for weeds. I pointed them out to Tamara, and she and the team did a great job giving them extra care. The team arrived when Tamara said they would, and the job took the amount of time she had estimated.

The measure of a well run company is not that they encounter problems but, how they manage said problems and difficulties when they arise. Today was a day of challenges for Garden Mamas and thusly were able to prove their true worth! This will be two weeks after my initial experience with this fine organization, that is to say, their second visit. Lying in wait for them, 10-12 yards of mulch to be spread throughout. The dynamic duo crew arrived IN THE RAIN and went to work. (Thank goodness the Sun was just around the corner) I won't bore you all with the gory details of the challenges met & time-enemies bested; suffice as to say, Tamara, and her Horticultural Super Heros faced off that gigantic pile of wood mulch chips like G I Jane faced 1,000 push ups! With unadulterated, fortitudinous BAD-ASSERY! Stay tuned folks, I can't wait to impart what next months episodic adventure will bring. My Garden looks soooooo good! Thank You Garden Mamas!! ;)

Needed someone to landscape and clean my moms front and backyard because she is no longer physically able. Got a quote from Garden Mama's and they were very quick and responsive. The day of the service went smooth. They were on time and did a very detailed job cleaning my moms garden. We are both very happy with their work and professionalism. Garden Mamas Alameda is an excellent landscape company. The Alameda-based, woman-owned company has brought beauty to the many on-ground and potted plants in my patio garden for two years now. The owner responds promptly, schedules appointments as soon as she can, and shows up on time. She hires very good people to assist her.
