Gary's Kitchen

We are in town for the week and felt a little craving for Chinese food. I've always been curious about this place and seem to have decent reviews so we came in and ordered some Shanghai noodles for takeout. it was very good! Flavours were on point and ingredients were fresh and plentiful. Will definitely come back to sample more next time!

We went to the liquor store next door and saw this small restaurant. It's takeout only right now. It was really great to see Gary make the food himself - and you can tell it was him because he matched guy on the store sign! Cute family operation. Food was excellent. Great portions too. As a fellow Asian - I recommend Gary's.

We visited Tofino a few weeks ago and craved for some asian food. Gary's Kitchen offers plenty of food items to choose from to satisfy chinese-food cravings! Food tasted good! They accepted orders by phone as a safety precaution, which I think is very convenient in a way. There's ample parking space and they accept credit cards as well. Service was quick and the staff were clear and patient

We ordered food for take-out - BBQ pork fried rice, sweet & sour pork, and beef with broccoli. The BBQ pork fried rice had very little BBQ pork, in fact, it didn't have much else, and very bland. The sweet & sour pork was worse -- the pork was dry, the batter was raw, the sauce was very bland -- all I could taste was super sweet red food colouring! Very disappointing!

I can not comment on all food, we had the hot and sour soup and the ginger beef. I can recommend both of them. Very tasty. The hit and sour soup was hot! Lovely. The rice that came with the beef a tick to greasy for my taste, but ok.
Service very good! Very friendly and helpful. Food came very fast, I will definitely go there again to try other dishes.
Not the best Ambiente, but if you want a good meal, value for money, this is the place to go. Portions are rather huge, more than enough for a hungry stomach. For what you pay, no complains at all!

This place is pretty good! I went for the vegan options. I had the vegetable chow mein and mixed veggies with tofu. Both were very good.

Walked in asked to use the washroom and have never been told no in such a rude manner 0/10 would recommend going here after such bad hospitality

We got take out after a day of travel to get to Tofino. I love Tofino, it's my favourite place in the world, and I'll order from here next time I visit.

The food was good, this would be one of the regular places I order from if it was in Richmond instead of Tofino.
