GearUp Appliance Repair

The house we moved into had a set of older but sturdy washer and dryer, but unfortunately, one night last week, the dryer stopped heating! I was super bummed thinking we'd have to go purchase a whole brand new dryer, but decided to try our luck at utilizing the "Project" feature through Yelp (first-time use). Put out a proposal at 2200, and heard back from 3 different companies (2 giving contact information, 1 stating we were out of their service area).

Obviously, we ended up going with Vitalii at GearUp, and we couldn't be happier with his work and experience! It was a bit of an expense, but well worth the value of quick service and peace of mind that our dryer would work. He was prompt on the appointment day, identified the issue quickly, discovered a subsequent problem that contributed to our broken dryer, and then was immediately able to fix it that day! Overall, great business: explained the problem well and provided above and beyond service.

So far, the dryer has been running great, and we're extremely appreciative, Vitalii and GearUp Appliance!

Excellent service and communication. Easy to schedule and prompt response, I even had to reschedule at the last minute with no problem whatsoever.

My beloved KitchenAid stand mixer went kablooey (well, not literally, but the planetary fell out and that will make sense to some of you), and I started calling around trying to find someone who would fix it and I wasn't having great luck but left my email info on a couple of websites and on a Friday evening I got an email back from Vitalii at GearUp who said he would be able to fix it but it might not be worth what he would have to charge.

What he would have to charge was much much much less than replacing it - a 6-quart bowl-lift - even with a refurbished model much less a brand new, comparable model so I handed it over with my blessings.

Less than a week later - having taken the mixer apart and making sure everything else was in working order, ordering and receiving the part, replacing it and putting the mixer back together - I got an email that the mixer was ready, followed by a detailed invoice and the option to pay for the repair securely online. Which I took advantage of. I then picked it up (brought all the way to the car for me by Vitalii's assistant).

She is now home and working, and I am so very happy with the entire experience. Friendly service with all costs laid out up front and quick turnaround.

I'm told I could have done this myself. Possibly. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube and I watched a couple just out of curiosity and I'll just say had I attempted this on my own, there would have been swear words and tears and gear grease all over the place and I am all about having a job like this done by a knowledgeable professional, which Vitalii definitely is.

Our LG front load washer leaked water everywhere - and Vitalii rescued us.

Prompt, professional, friendly and reasonably priced. I requested service for a leaking washing machine and no leak could be found. But after taking it apart to find a leak and putting everything together again, there is no leak.

Problem solved!

Vitalii came and found the problem that two other techs failed to do Worked with me to fix the leak. Washer works just fine and no water!!

When we had a problem with our oven we called several listed repair shops hoping to find one that would come out ASAP. Vitali answered the phone promptly and arrived at our house within 3 hours. He performed a thorough evaluation of the problem, cleaned the motor and fan and the fee was reasonable. Vitali was polite and professional. We would not hesitate to contact GearUp again. Our oven works great again !
