Genius Gems NYC features the world's largest collection of magnetic tiles - over 100,000 of them! Nearly 10,000 square feet of space on two levels for building challenges, a Design Bar for making your own Glitter Tiles, plus Robot World, a Glow-in-the-Dark Room, a cafe offering pizza, shakes, snacks, coffee, beer & wine for adults, and more! We are open daily for general admission. Tickets must be purchased in advance on our web site. Recommended for ages 4 and up. A fun and educational experience for the whole family!

Came here for a kids get together and it was so fun that I ended purchasing a monthly membership for the kids.
With 100,000 magnatiles and activities for the children, what could go wrong. There were design challenges given to the kids to create. They were then given tokens to swap for small toys.
Downstairs there's a glitter tile bench where kids can create their own tiles to take home. There is also a sitting area for the parents downstairs, with snacks such as pizza, fries, coffee and wine.
Definitely worth checking out. Kids under 2 are free.

There's so much to do there, my favorite area was the glitter bar where we could design custom glitter tiles and even make magnetic masks. There's a big magnetiles area where people build amazing sculptures. The place is great for kids as well as adults (heck I'm 26 and wanted to have my birthday party here). They also run educational science programs. I love genius gems, can't wait to go back and take more of my friends!!

Visited here with my kids over the summer and we absolutely loved it. The kids had a blast with the tiles, particularly in the glow room. They are slime obsessed so thought the slime area was a dream come true. We had to go back for a second visit a few days after our first one, which I was very happy to do. Visiting Genius Gems was a welcome break from most of the other NYC visitor attractions which are hot, crowded, and exhausting!
