The people here are exceptional.

I messaged them the day before asking for a quote and received a reply very promptly. Went in the next day after going two months with this metal thing stuck in the rear tire of my Highlander.

Was told they would have to order me a the tire as they didn't have it in stock and that they would have it by the afternoon! Same day service?! Awesome.

When I came out from the office, one of the gentleman that worked there was checking out the metal thing stuck in my tire. He told he he thinks he can get it out, I was very hesitant as I did not want to end up having a flat and not being to go anywhere until the tire came in. He managed to get the metal thing out, did not have a flat and he checked tire pressure for all my other tires before he let me go. I believe his name is Ron? He's awesome. Saved me from having to get a new tire.

Soooooo the same tire decided to do me dirty when I ran over something on International Blvd due to all that construction and left me with a completely flat tire. Went in the next morning and as always everyone is super friendly. Ryan helped me order my tire, called me the next day to let me know my tire was ready. I came in and Mike (he's the best) helped me put on my tire in like 10 minutes, put, out my spare back and watched the kids while I was paying.

These guys are THE BEST!!

I've gotten tires here for two cars. Both experiences were great. They provided WOW! service both times. Great tires at a great price. Tires look great on the cars. The tires ride very comfortably and quietly.

I recommend you check them out when you need tires.

We've put new tires on 3 cars with George Oren. Best price. Fastest service (same day!). All done with a smile. We are local and choose these guys. Next up: I needed new rear brakes. They set me up for less than I estimated and got it done the same day as my inspection. Highly recommend!

Amazing, great service, two tires repaired previously, had them do a rotation today and I was in and out in 30 minutes. Great people you can trust. We need new tires before winter and we are definitely going to George Oren. He even recommended we save $160 on two tires same brand with a longer warranty.

Don't go anywhere else! George Oren provides old-school, high quality service with excellent communication. One of the few places my wife and daughters feel completely comfortable with the explanation of the work and the reasonable cost.

four. They try hard to repair a tire before suggesting buying a new one.

Super friendly and helpful. Flo was super patient with me as we tried to figure out what was wrong with my tires. He answered all my questions and recommended a place for me to perform my Smog Test just down the street. I'll definitely be back.

I e-mailed them for the exact model tire I wanted. The price was good, and I came in a few days later to have them installed. Overall a quick experience.

I can't remember how I discovered this place the first time, but I've been coming here for years and years now - more than a decade, now that I think about it. Reflecting further, I think I first came here after buying my truck (with a full-sized spare), and was seeking a tire center that would include regular care and feeding for the life of the tires -- Balancing, rotation, etc. That's how I found George Oren.

It's a family owned business, and they do great work. They care about what they do, and they're communicative and easy to work with.

They're also extremely busy, so if you can, remember to make an appointment!

Buying big tires (and five of them, with the full-sized spare!) always hurts the pocketbook. I'll confess, I looked at Costco for due diligence, and they apparently offer lifetime balancing and rotation as well. In the past, they never carried the particular tires I like to run, but now they do. Yeah, Costco is a bit of a nightmare, and can be an all-day affair if a bunch of people are ahead of you in line, but they do tend to be cheap. Oh man . . . faced with the conundrum of possibly saving a few bucks and going with the corporate behemoth, or supporting local businesses, I made note of Costco's pricing and called George Oren to check their pricing and availability.

I was fully ready to plead my case with them if prices were terribly disparate; I imagined I would be asking for some flexibility in pricing to help me make the right choice. Well, much to my pleasant surprise, George Oren's quoted prices were *less expensive* then Costco right off the bat. Bonus, they would have them there by the end of the day. (Costco would be several *business* days).

So there you have it - zero excuse to go anywhere else! George Oren has everything: great service, appointments, good prices, and they make an effort to get what you need quickly. I was in and out of there with five new tires, mounted and balanced, and they even properly hung my spare tire - in about 60 minutes.

I just want to get a head start on my review, before I forget.

All my years of living in the area, I had never been to George Oren. To me, it has always had the reputation of being "expensive". I haven't received my service as of yet, but I will surely update if that's to be true.

I came in today because when I drive & brake, my wheel squeaks. It squeaks the loudest when I am in reverse. My suspicions (through motor head consultations) was that it was my brakes or bearings. I went to the shop around 10am on a Friday, and they were busy. But Flo (senior mechanic) took the time to look under the hood and under the car. Rear brakes was the culprit, the sensor is touching the rotor. I trust Flo, he has worked on my car when he had his own shop. Which is why I decided to come to George Oren today. Especially when it comes to cars, I need someone that has a good reputation, and that I can trust. & Flo is that person for me. I am confident about the work that will be done on my car. I'll be back this coming Monday to get my rear brakes serviced. I'll update the review then.

UPDATE:
Service done on a Monday by Flo. Arrived at 8:30am. Car on the rack by 9:15am, test driven at 9:45am. Out by 10:15am. Monday mornings is one of the busiest days. So call ahead.

FLO is a MACHINE. He is great. Informative. Honest.

Now. If you've read this far, you want price transparency. Let's do it! Cost of breaks was around $250. There is a $25 "shop supply fee". I've been to many shops, and have never seen such a fee. Total job including parts $275 for rear brake pad replacement. My previous rear brake pad and rotor replacement was $292, from another shop in 2021. I have in the past called them for tire and install. &always end up going with someone else. So yes, through my experience they are more expensive.

In this case I wanted to take my car to someone I knew and trusted (as I wasn't quite sure what was wrong)& somewhere convenient. For that I paid the price.

I would recommend this shop as they do a great job.

Our car was a victim of the Oakland streets - we had a slow leak in one of our tires that we couldn't see easily and ultimately ignored and kept refilling the tire until the slow leak became a fast leak. I don't recommend this approach to tire care and neither did the friendly guys at George Oren Tire Specialist!

We called about an appointment and they were able to fit us in the schedule a few hours later. When we got there we were greeted immediately and our car was moved to one of the bays to be checked out. They told us they couldn't patch the hole because we had damaged the tire from driving on it while it was leaking (who knew!) and replaced the tire for us for a very reasonable fee. They didn't try to upsell us on a whole new set of tires either - they said the rest of our tires were in fine shape. Overall I'm extremely pleased with how they handled a not ideal situation, and next time I definitely won't drive on a deflating tire for multiple weeks!
